                                     PREFACE
The present report is the outcome of the internship program of the Bundelkhand University organized
at Stanza Living Pvt. Ltd. The objective of the program was to introduce students with the
implementation of the knowledge gained in the campus and to get practical exposure and real life
experiences. The practical knowledge is far different from the bookish knowledge that a student
achieves in the institution and therefore it becomes a necessity to gain the practical knowledge.
The report consists of all the learning I’ve gone through in my training in the 2 months .The major
problem that I faced in my internship program was that the company being a start-up was fighting to
make a position in the Banglore/Indore market and introducing a world class accommodation with
comparative high prices with the competitors in a small city like Indore, where usually people are
unaware of the trend, it was an experiment for the company in which it partially succeeded. The report
focuses on the work culture and work life of a start-up, how does the ground level work is held, how
the operations are done and many more. An important thing that I feel important to mention that in
some cases, some practices are performed which are not accepted theoretically.
The report consist of the results of this 2 months tenure internship program which helped me a lot to
groom myself, introduced me to the corporate culture and helped me to understand what actually

                          INTRODUCTION
About university
Bundelkhand University , Jhansi is one of the best universities in the state of Uttar
Pradesh in India. The university offers 104 different Professional, Technical,
Vocational, and Research Programs. . The university has been acknowledged
as one of the finer centers of higher education by various overseas universities.
The University also works actively in organizing campus placements for its
students for which a separate training and placement cell works efficiently.
About the Department
The ITHM is credited to be the only academic centre in the country to offer full-
fledged study cum training programs on both Tourism and Hotel Management. It
has an ideally conceived beautiful four-storey building with provisions of
requisite training areas including basic/intermediate/quantity kitchens, laundry,
training restaurant, student dining hall, guest rooms, cloak room, central stores,
front office, library, computer centre, travel desk, lecture theatres and multiple
classrooms. “Graduates of the Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management must
have the knowledge, skill, motivation and experience to effectively take up
managerial responsibilities in the dynamically growing tourism, hotel and
hospitality sector”, is what the ITHM family strives for. During the three year
course of BBA (TOURISM) there is a training program which is conducted by
the department to provide students a practical exposure of how the corporate
world works , which helps students in developing communication skills and
getting familiar to the corporate environment.

                                  1.2 RATIONALE OF STUDY
The internship program is very beneficial to connect theoretical knowledge with real life experience. It
has been designed to have a practical experience for enhanced theoretical understanding. Internship
program plays a significant role for each and every student, especially for the students of Business
Administration for better theoretical understanding, which helps them to relate their learning with
organizations real life situations. For this reason, every student have to work under any organization as
their internship program as the last stage of their degree. This definitely help them to start their
corporate career with some practical experience.
This report is a part of my internship program.
It has been set for two of 2 months at “Stanza Living Pvt. Ltd” as a part of my BBA TOURISM
program. In our BBA TOURISM Program all courses are centered on theoretical things and the
internship program has helped me to understand and relate the organizational situations and behavior
as well. I got opportunity to be a part of Stanza Living Pvt. Ltd (Indore) for this two months and I
gather few practical Knowledge about “Operation and marketing”. I am pretty sure that this two
months exposure in the field will help me a lot when I will move out in the corporate world and start
working as an employee with some organization. This internship program will also help me out in
facing the interviews and having a good job.
1.3 OBJECTIVES OF STUDY
      The objective is to get the real life experiences.
      The objective is to to get and organize detail knowledge on the job responsibility.
      The motive is to compare the real scenario with the knowledge gained in Bundelkhand
       University.
      The objective is to fulfill the requirement of BBA TOURISM Program.
      The objective is to obtain professional learning experience.

Objectives of the Study
1. To study and identify the daily proceedings of the
company.
2. To observe current patterns in operational activities of
the company.
3. To provide inputs suggestions and recommendations based on
survey and research.
3.1 Work Profile: city field operations intern
 During the internship my work was to complete onboarding in the cities in
various properties. For this company provided me a team 2 to 5 members in
each property depends on the inventory in the property. There severl steps/
formalities should be completed before onboarding a student they are :-
 Step 1 - KYC and PAN verification In KYC we take any government id of
Indian national and in case of foreign student citizenship card which has to
be uploaded in the venta app of verification of the student We take pan
details because the total transaction is more than 49999 as per RBI norms
Pancard is compulsory for transaction above 49,999.
   Step 2 - bank details
   At the time of booking there is part of amount we has taken as security
   deposit. When the customer vacate the hostel we need to process the
   refund the security amount which has

    Step 3 - police verification
We take police verification form as per state government rules the form is to filled by
the customer . we need a hard copy of government id proof and passport size
photograph. After this we upload the photo of the form in the venta app and sent the
hardcopy to the nearest police station for the verification process.No objection
certificate has to brought by the customer form their previous residence.
Step 4 – inventory checklist
In this section we show and tick mark which things we utilities we
are providing to the customer. The process occur in front of the
customer when the customer is shifted in his room.
Step 5 – payment
Wetake3monthsadvance+securitydepositatthetimeofbooking.Thereis
optiontopaya booking amount ex – 10,000 and rest at the time of on
boarding. There is different payment options.
If in case anyone cancel the booking only the security deposit was
refundable.
Step 6 - room photos
Inthis section we take room photos for verfying in which condition
we are giving the room to the customer and payment recipt has to be
uploaded in this section if cash or cheque payment has been.
Step 7 - student photo
In this section we take a live photo of the student so that later the
verification process can be done and verified that the correct person
came for the on boarding purpose.
When all the above criteria are completed then we complete onboarding
.after completing onboarding a biometric id is generated
After the above steps are completed we need to provide several
facility to the students they are :-
   1.   Wi-Fi access
   2.   Biometric
   3.   Food court access
   4.   Attendance access
   5.   Student app access
   6.   Laundry services
I was also responsible for maintaining the inventory of t-shirts,
welcome kits, bed sheets pillow and covers, curtains etc in each
property which was under me . If there is shortage of any material in
the property I have to contact/co-ordinate with the project or
procurement team/manager for the availability of the materials.
I was also involved in the project team in Rao when the property was
not ready on the proposed deadline to help the project team in getting
the property ready.

       spreadsheet
      How to co-ordinate and whom to co-ordinate if any issue occurs
      How to conduct various types of audit
      How to prepare snag list.
      Audited various properties and filled google forms related to the
       rooms.
   Week 2
        Completed on boarding process of customers who booked rooms.
        Sales to walk in customers
        Resolving issues which occurred during the process
        Co ordination with the sales team , in case of any issues in
         payment
        Co ordination with the resident captain to check weather the
         rooms are ready for the customers to stay.
        Providing feedback to the backhand team , to resolve the issues in
         venta app.
Week 3
    Once the rooms in a property were filled and the boarding process
     were completed , I prepared a spreadsheet containing details of all
     the residing students and submitted to my senior.
    Prepared snag list with the help of resident captain , so that issues
     which were faced by the residents of the property, can be resolved.
    As most of the residents were of my age I tried to get friendly with
    the , so I could get a personal feedback of the services provided by
    stanza .
   I collected their feedbacks and provided it to the cluster manager ,
    so that he could improve the sevices which were provided, if
    possible.
Week 4
       As the properties were almost occupied and the onboarding
        processes were completed , except few which were pending due
        to payment issues, I collected details of all such cases and
        prepared a spreadsheet and submitted it to the backhand team.
       Once the issues were fixed I completed the remaining on
        boardings.
       As the boarding process was completed , I learned how to
        enroll biometric id .

 week 5
    Reached Indore , visited the properties there , reported our seniors
     about the properties which were incomplete.
    Attended meeting at the indore head office with the city operatio
     head.
    I helped the resident captain & the project team to complete project
     work.
    Prepared snag list of the properties in two macro markets rau &
     bhawarkuan .
    Helped sales team with the walk in customers.
Week 6
      Rau a micro market had 2 properties , helped the interns in project
       team to compete the property.
      Completed onboardings in the properties in bhawarkuan.
      Prepared a spreadsheet consisting of details of the residents,
       showing their onboarding status.
Week 7
          Completed onboardings in the properties in Rau.
          Helped the resident captain with the operation work.
          Prepared snag lists of different properties , submitted it to the
           project team.
     Week 8
          In my final days of training in Indore , i was asked to submit all
           my work to the respected resident captains of the properties.
          I gave them training to use the venta app .
          Handover of documents.
                          FINDINGS
During the internship there was severals gaps in the sales and
operations team because there are few things which are promised by
sales but not promised by the company which was not clear with the
sales team because of this operations team faced problem during on-
boarding.
There was certin issues in the venta app they are:-

 SUGGESTIONS &RECOMMENDATIONS
This was my first internship and it was an amazing experience. I
learnt a lot in terms of sales and how important it is to form a
connection while talking to customers. Our heads were very friendly
and welcoming ,and encouraged us to ask questions .They were very
open with us and we did not feel any kind of hierarchy while working.
The VP, city heads and Micro market heads would all work together
as a team and they always welcome any ideas we had.The best part of
this internship is that I got responsibility. If I closed a deal, I knew it
was on my own, without help from my seniors. And I got the credit
for it too! All in all, it was an amazing experience to be working at
Stanza Living.
Here are a few suggestions on things that could’ve been better:
   1.   It is their first time in Bangalore, so ideally the properties
        should’ve been completely ready. But since the construction
        started too late, the property is still not ready fully, even
        though students have started to comein.
   2.   We had multiple points of contact throughout our internship,
        which made it difficult for us to co-ordinate.
   3.   As it is a tech-enabled company, all the things were done
        through a mobile application (Venta App).We faced many
        issues as It was not free of errors .The system crashed Too
        many times. But I understand that in the future, it will be very
        efficient.
                   LEARNING OUTCOME
This internship in Stanza Living was a great experience, especially in
the field of sales and marketing. It is an eye opener for me and a
realization of future plans in the same sector. The work environment
taught a lot about corporate and how things happen in the real world.
We were able to apply the theory of marketing and how it works in
the real world. Although, it is also true that things on paper are way
different than things in practical. The way of handling things on the
new     the   fieldrequires   a    presenceof    mind    which   comes
withexperience.I am proudto say that I was involved in the successful
set-up of Stanza Living in Bangalore!
  Learning Outcomes:
  1.   How to talk to different kind of people and convincethem.
  2.   Building an initial connect to make the customer comfortable is
       veryimportant.
  3.   Technology, when used properly, is very cost effective and an
       efficient way of doing things and storing data to prevent
       dataloss.
  4.   Market Research is VERY important. This includes knowing the
       target market, competitor analysis ,etc .For this ,one may have
       to actually go on the field to find some things out.
  5.   One should not give false hopes or false information to impress
       the customer. Later, it leads to great disappointed. Ethical
       business practices are important to keep brand name. If you
       make a mistake, accept it and apologies, instead of .
