AFFIDAVIT OF RECANTATION
I, _____________________, of legal age, single and a resident of
___________________________, after being duly sworn to in accordance with law,
hereby depose and say:

1. That I am the private complainant in Crim. Case Nos. U-12345-12348 entitled


“People of the Philippines vs. __________________”, which are pending before
the Regional Trial Court, Branch 88, _____________ City;

2. That on September 15, 2019, I gave my testimony in the above criminal cases,
wherein I identified the Sinumpaang Salaysay that I previously executed.

3. That in that Sinumpaang Salaysay, I accused ____________________ of having


raped me several times at the beerhouse in Guimba, Nueva Ecija;

4. That I now declare under oath that those accusations against the accused are not
true and are mere fabrications;

5. That I was easily influenced by my family to file the instant cases against the
accused and to execute the Sinumpaang Salaysay as I was of tender age at that
time.

6. That now that I have fully come to my senses, I realize that it was wrong for me to
file the instant criminal cases against accused ____________, and I cannot in
conscience bear to see him languish in jail any longer due to my false accusations
against him.

7. That I am hereby recanting and withdrawing all that are contained in the said
Sinumpaang Salaysay and my oral testimony because they are all lacking in truth
and products of misapprehension of facts.
