PwC UK - Candidate Feedback Report

Name Revant Chopra6302980

Date 24 June 2013

Understanding your feedback report

You recently completed a number of assessments as part of our student application process. This report is
intended to give you personal and confidential feedback on your performance in these assessments. We hope that
this feedback will enable you to reflect on your performance and understand where and how it can be improved in
the future, irrespective of the outcome of this application.

Due to the complexity and competitive nature of our programmes, PwC base their assessment decisions on a
combination of criteria which vary from role to role. Therefore, having an average, or above, performance on each
of the individual tests does not automatically guarantee progression to the next stage of the recruitment process.
The outcome with regard to this stage of the recruitment process will be provided on a separate email.

This report is personal and confidential to you. You don’t need specific training or knowledge to interpret it. The
report also provides advice on how to improve your performance where this could be helpful to you.

Ability tests

The tests you completed provide a fair and objective assessment of your cognitive ability. Research has shown
that these tests can provide reliable information on future performance in many different jobs. However, many
other factors also play an important role in predicting job success. To help you understand your ability test
scores, we’ve compared your performance to others who have taken these tests in the past. This is known as a
comparison group.

Numerical reasoning test

This test measures your ability to make correct decisions or inferences from numerical data. The data presented
and the tasks set are relevant to a business environment. The emphasis in these tasks is understanding and
evaluating data rather than on computation. People who perform well on this test tend to have the capacity to
understand and interpret numerical information correctly.

Verbal reasoning test

This test measures your ability to evaluate the logic of different kinds of arguments. The information presented is
relevant to a business environment. The test emphasises understanding, using and evaluating verbal information
rather than language usage, spelling or grammar. People who perform well on this test tend to have the capacity
to readily understand reports and documents.

Additional hints and tips

● Capacity to Develop – Reflect on how much you feel comfortable trying new things, adapting your
approach, seeing the positives in a situation and learning from your mistakes. These characteristics will help
you grow and develop at pace. Consider how you could put yourself in these situations to increase your level
of comfort with them.
● Drive and Resilience – Weigh up the degree to which you see yourself as ambitious, future focussed,
competitive, and persistent. These attributes are important factors in your successful achievement of results.
Reflect on what might be getting in the way of you achieving and tackle it directly.

● Intellectual Agility – Consider the extent to which you enjoy and seek out opportunities to interpret data,
evaluate information, create new ideas and think conceptually. These characteristics will help you make
sense of ambiguous and complex situations. If you feel this does not come naturally to you, try to find
opportunities for you to develop your confidence in a safe environment.
● Personal Insight and Influence – Think about whether you are the kind of person who feels confident
when meeting new people, who finds interacting with others energising, who is comfortable being in charge,
and who is generally calm in most situations. If not, do you know someone who is that you could learn from?
Confidence with these attributes will help you build relationships with others.
● Leadership – Evaluate the level to which you take an interest in the reasons for other’s behaviour, in
helping and supporting others, for consulting with others when making decisions and in convincing others
round to your point of view. Consider ways in which you could challenge yourself to engage and connect with
others. These behaviours support the extent to which you naturally bring out the best in others.
We hope that this report has been useful in providing you with feedback relative to your
performance at this stage of the recruitment process. PwC wish you all the best with your
future career, at PwC or otherwise.
