Location: Umbergaon
Our factory is located at Umbergaon, in Gujarat state of India. This place is a
coastal area on the shores of the Arabian Sea, the landscape is dotted with coconut
palms, chickoo trees and the famous ALPHANSO mango trees.
Umbergaon is 145 kms away from Mumbai international airport & 17 kms off the
Mumbai-Delhi National Highway No. 8. Since last few years, this zone has acquired
recognition as a leading industrial zone & a beautiful tourism place of the country.
One can reach Umbergaon in 21/2 hrs - 31/2 hrs by road, 2-3hrs by train from Central Mumbai
Umbergaon Industrial Estate has mixed industries of textiles, pencil, pen, engineering,
plastic, pharmaceutical, weaving, umbrella, pipe, packing materials, steel, food, etc
industries. Polluting industries such as chemicals, oil, refineries, fertilizers, etc are NOT
allowed by law.

Brief History
QUANTA IMPEX was incorporated in the year 1998 for trading in organic
raw Cotton, subsequently in the year 2000 it was renamed as Purecotz
Creations, engaged in the production of sustainable textiles.
Further in the year 2009 its constitution was changed from a
partnership firm to a Private Ltd Company & since then know as

Our Products
We make garments exclusively from GOT certified organic cotton, for the
sizes ranging from new born baby to adults.
All our processes (from field to fashion) are certified by an Internationally
GOTS accredited body.
We deal mainly in infant & children wear below 8 years (knits & woven):
Baby blankets, Baby bodies, Baby underwear, Jumpsuits, Bibs, Baby Wrap suits,
Overall, etc.
We also make garment accessories, bath products, bedding and flat knit
products like sweater, cable throw etc.
These are exclusively made form 100% organic cotton.
Dyes & prints of our products are AZO free, Formaldehyde free, Free from
banned Amines, Heavy Metal, etc & thus more eco friendly, they are also called
“low impact dyes”.

Our Facilities
We have 556 of the latest garment machinery.
Our facilities are equipped with suitable machines to perform operations
like cutting, washing, flat knitting, printing, embroidery, stitching, packing,
metal detection, quality inspection etc.
The entire operation is maintained by ERP for efficient management.

Details of the Certifications:
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the worldwide
leading textile processing standard for organic fibers, including
ecological and social criteria, backed up by independent
certification of the entire textile supply chain.
SA8000 is an auditable certification standard that encourages
organizations to develop, maintain, and apply socially
acceptable practices in the workplace.
Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) is a
non-profit dedicated to promoting safe, lawful, humane and
ethical manufacturing around the world through
certification and education.
Fair Trade Certification is a third-party certification process
that sets standards for the way crop is produced and how
much a farmer/farming cooperative earns per kg of crop sold.
The criteria is: Fair prices for farmers and decent working
and living conditions for workers.
There are two types of label for this standard, depending on the
amount of organic material: OCS blended is used for products that
contain 5% minimum of organic material blended with conventional
or synthetic raw materials.
Oeko-Tex Standard 100 or Öko-Tex Standard 100 is an
independent testing and certification system for textile products
from all stages of production (fibers, yarns, fabrics, ready-to-use
end products, including accessories) along the textile value chain.

Our fabric stores is equipped with modern storage systems along with automatic
fabric checking machine, weighing scales, gsm cutter, light box etc.
We use various types of fabric for garments like:
WOVEN: Corduroy, Poplin, Canvas, Twill, Drill, Satin, etc
HOSIERY/ KNITTED: Interlock, Jersey, Rib, Terry, Sherpa/Brushed Sweat, Plush, Velour etc.

Stitching Department
We have various machines for making quality garments, like Over lock, Flat Stitch ,
Plain Stitch, Snap attachment , Bar-tack,Button-Hole & Button attachment,
Snap attachment, Zig-Zag, Picott etc.
Printing Department
We have the latest butterfly technique automatic printing machine system, heat transfer
printing machine as well as the traditional (hand table) we do printing from the smallest
chest print to all over prints, Pigment as well as Aquasol print.
We also have the facility of making and exposing our own screens.
Our inks and auxiliaries are GOTS approved,are ‘AZO’ free, free from
Formaldehyde and banned amines. All prints are water based.

Embroidery Department
Our embroidery unit is equipped with a total of 54 heads embroidery machines, with
additional features of applique embroidery, loop embroidery, sequin embroidery &
many more creative possibilities.
We also have laser cutting machine to ensure a perfect shape for applique embroidery.
Threads used for embroidery are Oeko-Tex approved, for better health of our
employees we make sure that our operators use ear plugs while working on the
machines.
Metal Policy
Being a baby garment manufacturer we are very particular about metal usage in our
premises.
We maintain strict needle records.
All scissors and cutters are tied and strictly accounted.
Staples, pins, metal u-clips are not allowed in our premises.
All incomings are scanned and filtered for their metal contents to ensure a metal free zone.
Washing Unit
Washing is an important part of the garment manufacturing process, our unit is equipped
with hydro extractors, washing machines & driers.
We also follow CUT PANEL LENGTH wash for most of our production, assuring stability.

We follow International Standards when it comes to a safe product and one of the
ways to ensure protection is to metal detect our products. The use of metal
detection equipment ensures that all products are safe and free from metal
contaminants.

required by the customer.
