Although there
is only one way
to heaven,
 there can be
different
reasons for
wanting to get
there. What
has become
yours?
        “So you’re a Christian, right?”
P A “Oh yes,” says the Cat. “I prayed the prayer. I remember
r
c it was in sixth grade. The pastor gave this invitation,
and something made me move out of my seat. I knew it
a
y c was God. Tears were rolling down my face. I walked up
to the front and gave my life to Jesus.”
e e “How’s your life now?”
“Oh, not too good,” says the Cat. “I’m going through
r p divorce. The kids are taking the brunt end of it. I don’t
t want to hurt them, but I just can’t live with that
        person.”
o
f
a “Well how are your quiet times?”
“Uhmm, I’m not having any. I know I should be, but,
n quite honestly, I’m angry with God, even bitter towards
    c Him.”
        “But you’re a Christian?”
e “Oh yes, I prayed the prayer. I’m saved.”
Yet it does not mean that you prayed
the “prayer of acceptance,” you have
already been accepted into God’s family.
“The Spirit himself testifies with our
spirit that we are God's children.” Rom 8:16
The assurance of our salvation lies in the
seal of the Holy Spirit and the fruits of
the Spirit present in our lives.
“Dear
Lord, we
just ask
You to
bless our
church.”
Dogs, on the other hand, look after what brings God MOST glory.
"Stained Glass Masquerade" So everyone will see me the Am I the only one who's traded
way that I see them In the altar for a stage
Is there anyone that fails
Is there anyone that falls Are we happy plastic people The performance is convincing
Am I the only one in church Under shiny plastic steeples And we know every line by
today feelin' so small With walls around our weakness heart
And smiles to hide our pain Only when no one is watching
Cause when I take a look around But if the invitation's open Can we really fall apart
Everybody seems so strong To every heart that has been
I know they'll soon discover broken But would it set me free
That I don't belong Maybe then we close the If I dared to let you see
curtain The truth behind the person
So I tuck it all away, like On our stained glass That you imagine me to be
everything's okay masquerade
If I make them all believe it, Would your arms be open
maybe I'll believe it too Is there anyone who's been Or would you walk away
So with a painted grin, I play the there Would the love of Jesus
part again Are there any hands to raise Be enough to make you stay
Cats love to
serve God
                    Dogs submit to
when it is fun. complete Lordship –
They still want
to be close to anytime, anywhere,
God. They want
Lordship, but
                    anyplace.
they don’t want He is Lord of ALL, or
it to interfere
with their lives. none at all!
Cats only know
“half of God.”
                       “I am motivated
They focus on to obey God out of
                     my love for Him. I
God’s love, mercy
and grace but
never on His
hatred of sin,
                     am motivated not
wrath and to disobey God out
                        of my fear of
judgement. “He
loves me! He died
for me! He won’t
judge me,” says an
                             Him.”
