Performance notes

The piece alternates between metered and unmetered phrases. Where there are no bar lines, performers should move at a leisurely,
pulseless pace. Where there is an indicated metronome mark, time signature and bar line division, performers should act accordingly.

In unmetered phrases, occasionally a dotted vertical line serves to show where performers should coordinate attacks. Where there are no
such lines, performers are free to make choices (or not) about how their parts should interact.

Where there are no bar lines, accidentals apply only to the note immediately following.

Notation
