TERM II Projects: HISTORY Submission Date: March 17’ 2020

Term II project 1- Group ___________


 Research about the different propagandas going around during WWII. Create a visual display by
compiling at least 10 propaganda posters and news that circulated the world, and explain the messages
and history behind them.
Criteria: Note:
 Research about the topic- Content (2)  Work must be displayed in class by
 Proper Categorization of subtopics (1) 17th March (latest), before 2:00 PM.

Term II project 2- Group ___________


 Research upon the attack on Pearl Harbour. Write a diary entry (of at least 150 words) from
December 7 or December 9, 1941 from the perspective of someone who witnessed the attack first-
hand. Think outside of the box and step into the shoes of the person while writing the entry (for
example you could be a child witnessing the Japanese planes fly over the island, a soldier on one of the ships or a
medic at the hospital, etc). Include at least 7 facts about the event in addition to the personal perspective as an
eyewitness.) Present this through a visual class display (chartpaper) with pictures.

 Create a visual display depicting the Dictators who took part in WWII (Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Franco, Tojo)
presenting information about their parties, histories, mindsets, goals, ambitions and the role they played in the
war.

 Research about the historic battle of Stalingrad, and create a visual display depicting the facts & information of
the battle. You must cover basic evidence like the dates, armies, sequential events during the battle, results etc.
Focus on the aftermath of the battle on WWII and the role it played in turning the tide for the Allies .

 Imagine that your team owns one of the newspapers circulating around in Japan. The attack on Japan by the US in
1945 has just happened, and a news report on the Atomic Bombing of the Hiroshima & Nagasaki must now be
made, reporting upon what happened, how it happened, why it happened, and the impacts of the attack on both the
US and Japanese sides. (You must not forget that you are reporting the news within Japan, and thus must present
the news report to break the tragic news to your own people.) Create the front page of the newspaper with your
own news report as the main news, using the same format that is of any newspaper.

the economy & politics of India.

 WWII and the Nazi Party: Research on the Nazi Party and gather information on:
o What they had wanted to achieve through WWII
o How did they try to achieve their goals throughout WWII
o What happened to the party after WWII ended
Create a visual display depicting your research, with the title “The Nazis and WWII”
