Candy Corn - Amigurumi by Sarah Kniffen: Supplies

This document provides instructions for making a candy corn amigurumi using single crochet stitches. The candy corn is made in three sections - white on the bottom, orange in the middle, and yellow on top. The pattern uses increasing rounds to shape each section, changing yarn color as needed. Fifteen rounds are worked in orange and yellow, then decreasing rounds shape the pointed top. Once stuffed, the bottom is sewn closed to finish the amigurumi candy corn.

Candy Corn – Amigurumi

By Sarah Kniffen
Supplies

Hook: 4.0mm

Yarn: Any Medium weight yarn (I used Bernat Super

Value in White, Carrot, and Bright Yellow)

You will also need a yarn needle for sewing and some
polyfill or something for stuffing.

Terms: sc - single crochet

st - stitch

sc2tog – single crochet 2 together (decrease)

I joined at the end of each round so when I changed colours I didn’t get a crooked line, so in this pattern
I slip stitch at the end of each round, chain 1, and begin each round in the same stitch as the slip stitch.
To be clear, the slip stitch and chain 1 in this pattern does NOT count as the first stitch in each round.

Using white make magic loop

Rd 1 6sc in magic loop. Tighten loop and join with slip stitch (6)

Each round will end with a slip stitch and chain 1 (remember the 1sc of each round is in the same stitch
as the slip stitch)

Rd2 [2sc, 2sc in next st] 2x (8)

Rd3 [2sc, 2sc in each of the next 2st] 2x (12)

Rd4 sc in each st (12) Change colour to carrot in last stitch

Rd5 [4sc, 2sc in each of the next 2st] 2x (16)

Rd6 sc in each st (16)

Rd7 [6sc, 2sc in each of the next 2st] 2x (20)

Rd8 sc in each st (20)

Rd 9 [8sc, 2sc in each of the next 2 st] 2x (24)

Rd 10 sc in each st (24)

Rd11 sc in each st (24) Change colour to yellow in last stitch

Rd 12-14 sc in each stitch (24)

Rd15 [8sc, sc2tog, sc2tog] 2x (20)

Rd 16 [6sc, sc2tog,sc2tog] 2x (16)

Finish off leaving a long tail for sewing. Stuff with polyfill and whip stitch the bottom closed.
