NOTICE:
If the DCM (telematics transceiver) has been replaced, perform the DCM Activation procedure using the
Techstream (w/ Manual (SOS) Switch).

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

(a) Disconnect the P23 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.

(b) Disconnect the K66 DCM (telematics transceiver) connector (w/ Manual (SOS) Switch).

(c) Disconnect the K55 and K56 front No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.

(d) Disconnect the N14 and N29 front No. 1 speaker assembly connectors.

(e) Disconnect the O4 and O9 rear speaker assembly connectors.

(f) Disconnect the P27 rear No. 3 speaker assembly connector.

(g) Disconnect the K57 front No. 3 speaker assembly connector.

(h) Measure the resistance between the stereo component amplifier assembly and body ground to check
for a short circuit in the wire harness.
Standard Resistance:

TESTER CONNECTION CONDITION SPECIFIED CONDITION

short circuit in the wire harness (w/ Manual (SOS) Switch).

2. INSPECT FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the front No. 2 speaker assembly.
