ABOUT ME

Background
I'm a Fort Collins native and second generation CSU student.
My dad is from Leadville, CO and my mom is from Commerce
City, CO, but lived in Kansas and Germany for short periods of
time. I have always been interested in health, cooking, sewing,
and design, but didn't know there was a place for all of these
subjects to fit together until high school, called Family and
Consumer Sciences. I took every FCS class offered at my school
(Rocky Mountain High) and was a member of FCCLA for two
years, serving as an officer of our chapter during my senior
year. This gave me many opportunities for development as a
citizen and leader. I was able to complete many service
MEGAN SADAR opportunities for my community as well as increase my
confidence in public speaking and organizational planning.
Family and Consumer
Sciences I am completing my Bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer
Sciences with a concentration in FCS Education as well as an

learn in dynamic, welcoming, Intercultural Community Builders
exciting environments that were
the same opportunities given to Organization that works with children and teens to empower
me in FCS. themselves and one another, break down prejudice, hate, and
intolerance, and increase intercultural skillfullness. Through ICB, I
HOBBIES/INTERESTS have worked with at-risk populations of youth, and a diverse range
Cooking of students. I currently serve on the Board of Directors for ICB.
