In this activity, my students are going to use Easelly to create a poster on an individual of their choosing (Christopher
Columbus, Benjamin Franklin, Abraham Lincoln, George Washington Carver, Helen Keller, Thurgood Marshall, Rosa
Parks, Jackie Robinson, Cesar Chavez, Martin Luther King Jr) to describe how their contributions changed the lives of
Americans.
Pedagogy
Activity This learning activity will get the students to do some research
on the contributions of individuals and how it affected the lives
of Americans. The class will begin with the teacher talking briefly
about the individuals to just give an introduction of them. Then
the students are going to get to pick which individual that they
would like to make a poster about. After they pick their
individual, the teacher will have them read an article that was
printed out about their individual. After doing their readings the
student should be able to point out contributions that their
individuals had made to the lives of Americans. The students will
login to easelly to then start making their poster about their
individual showing their contributions. What should be included
in their poster is;
 Individual Name
 Where and When they were born
 At least 2 Contributions
 Anything else that they would like to add

Technology The program that will be used is easelly and they are going to
create a poster on the contributions that their individual made
that had an effect on American lives.

symbol to open the internet
2. In the search bar at the top, left click and press delete
3. Type easelly
4. Click on the first website that pops up in google that
says easel.ly
5. Scroll down to where it says, “register for free” and left

6. Please put your school email and create a password
7. At the top right corner of the page click on groups, then
