I have been going to a Non-Denominational Christian church since I was 4 years old.
grew up going to Sunday School and youth groups. Going to church every Sunday, I saw how
the Lord made a great effect on the people in my church. This inspired me to want to dedicate
myself to Christ. In 3rd grade I went to church camp, there I confidently made the bold decision
to follow Christ and dedicate my whole life to the Lord.
Over the past 3 years my life as a Christian has been up and down. In highschool I was
surrounded by people who were either non-believers in Christ or had little knowledge about
Jesus. This affected me greatly, causing me to steer away from the Lord. This was predominantly
a very low part of my life. I would go to church with my family, even though I was there
physically, I wasn’t there mentally. My interest in going to church became less and less every
week. I would call myself a Christian, but was not acting as one would and did not live up to my
Christian beliefs.
During this low time in my life, I felt an urge deep within me to change how I was living.
Last summer I decided to dedicate my life to Christ once again. Doing this and changing my
outlook on life helped me grow personally and spiritually. Since then, my faith has been at its
strongest. I continue to go to church and serve God everyday. My growth as a Christian has not
been the easiest, but through all the rough patches it has definitely helped me become stronger. I
believe that God puts us in a certain position for a reason. This has let me to trust God with
everything in my life and that He is in control.
