THE EIFFEL TOWER

The Eiffel Tower was built between 1887 and 1889 with the aim of celebrating
the World Fair that commemorated the 100 years of the French Revolution. It
was opened to visitors on May 6, 1889. Gustave Eiffel designed the tower
model. When its construction began, many Parisians, especially the artists, did
not believe in the project and protested against it. For critics, the tower would be
nothing more than an architectural mistake. However, the work was lost in the
most accepted heritage of the Gauls. The tower is made of iron and weighs
more than seven thousand tons. A layer of 40-ton paint is applied every seven
years to prevent oxidation. The building has a total height of 342 meters and a
staircase with 1.665 steps. It is also equipped with the original, but automated,
elevators that take visitors from the base to the top.

The Eiffel Tower has undergone many significant changes over the years. One
of the most significant changes was to allow access to the public by mounting
elevators and stairs where it used to be a restricted and use-only part of the
Eiffel Tower staff. In that space was added a viewpoint so that people can
appreciate the views of all Paris. In addition, the garden that is near the Eiffel
Tower also had significant changes. One of those changes was to remove one
of the fountains that had to be able to build the car roads and in the center of
the garden used to have grass and is now a giant fountain. In addition, the
bridge had to be extended so that cars could pass because that bridge was
designed for pedestrian use.

Nowadays, the Eiffel Tower is 131 years old since its inauguration. It is named
one of the seven wonders of the world, given its structure, its complexity and
the way it attracts attention. As you know, the tower is in Paris, France called
the city of love, and this construction. It is the most visited monument in the
world and considered the most romantic place. The Eiffel Tower has an elevator
and stairs to climb and enjoy, for this you must pay just, and the tower has an
expensive restaurant, but it has the best and most wonderful world views.
