1. Introduction
It can be hard to look for an additional source of income after being banned
from eBay. I for one was struggling for many months to find an avenue to
continue selling on the Internet without having to give up on high start up
costs through a website. Creating my own website just didn’t measure up to
eBay. Being one of the top 20 most visited sites on the Internet eBay brings
traffic to your listings that you could never achieve on your own.
After I was given a permanent suspension from PayPal I went to the bank to
open another account thinking I could start selling again in no time. However,
in a couple of weeks and after possibly two or three sales I was again linked
back to my old account and kicked off PayPal once again. I tried this around
3 times before giving up and looked for alternative payment solutions to use
on eBay. I looked into using ProPay, Moneybookers (Now known as Skrill),
and even Paymate. Well, all of those options were great, but I lived in Canada
and being Canadian a lot if not all of those payment options were only
available to U.S. Residents. Not to mention that PayPal is the most preferred
way to pay for buyers and its even easier to sell with it. Some of you may
have even gone ahead and gotten an alternative payment method and signed
up for a new eBay account. But I`m guessing you probably were kicked out
again, right? So there I was stuck questioning how some people could
continue to make thousands of dollars every month on eBay consecutively
without getting suspended. As a result, I quit selling on eBay altogether for
about several months until I found a way to work around the system.
I’m guessing that your story is probably similar to mine and you were
confused and frustrated. Some of you may have even relied on eBay solely to
provide for your mortgage or utility bills. For this reason I will reveal to you
how to get back on eBay selling your items and cashing out to your bank
account. And even if you do get suspended again you can easily repeat the
process.
What you will learn after reading this book?
After reading Banned from eBay you will learn to anonymously sell on eBay
without the risk of getting suspended again. If have been limited by PayPal
then you will also be able to get back on PayPal after you have applied the
information provided throughout this book. Given that you apply all the
tactics and follow the outlined step by step process you can easily be selling
on eBay in a matter of a week from finishing the book. You will learn how to
keep all your private sensitive information secure and how to create multiple
eBay accounts without any problems. Best of all this works on any eBay
marketplace across the world and is completely legal! Additionally I will
teach you insider secrets which I have came up with and have not shared with
any but to those who have purchased this book.
Don`t be a quitter!
A lot of people out there want to just quit using eBay and PayPal (mostly
eBay) and start to look for an alternative method. But the problem with that is
if you get banned again on the alternative site then you’ll soon probably run
out of options. There simply aren’t enough substitute sites out there with
enough traffic to provide for eBay. Not to mention sites that are constantly
endorsed as alternatives such as Overstock.com, eBid.net etc. You’re
defiantly not going to see the same conversion of traffic and sales on these
sites as you do on eBay.
Why begging won’t work
If you’ve been left with a limited PayPal you’ve probably tried to get it
reinstated by either sending them emails, using sweet talk , maybe even
sending them threats or taking legal action. According to their website they
have 230 million accounts as of 2013. Considering this high of a number I’m
pretty sure they don’t care if they lose a million or so users every year as long
as there bringing in new users. So if you’ve been limited, getting your money
released through legal action is reasonable but you won’t get your account
back. You can send them strongly worded letters, file complaints with the
attorney general and consumer protection rights office but getting reinstated
is not attainable this way. This is why your only option it to create a brand
new account and the only RIGHT way to do it is by completing the full step
by step process outlined in this book.
Why eBay doesn`t tell you why you got suspended
After you had been suspended indefinitely from eBay or PayPal you probably
weren’t given a clarification on why you were banned. The reason why they
don’t tell you anything is because they don`t want you to figure out how to
circumvent their system and their policies. The more you know and the more
stuff you can put together on how to prevent a suspension the bigger the
problem for eBay. If you can determine how eBay and PayPal suspend
accounts and find ways to prevent those suspensions, then it will benefit the
general public. Since eBay has a vast number of employees and all the people
across the world that they must pay monthly it doesn’t give eBay enough
space to go about and make changes because changes cost money. Therefore,
they try to keep it secret because they can’t constantly make changes to their
system and repeatedly go back to the drawing board. I believe this could all
be prevented if eBay would stop neglecting their sellers. The information and
tactics implicated in this book will make your new account almost bullet-
proof so grab something to drink sit back and enjoy the information you are
about to learn.
Why your PayPal was limited?
Before we get into the process of creating your new PayPal account we need
to look where you went wrong and how to prevent that in the future. A lot of
sellers end up getting an account limitation sometimes even a permanent one
from PayPal which in turn shuts down their eBay. Anyways here are the top
reasons why PayPal will limit your account. If you want further information
you can always browse the PayPal user agreement.

· You have more accounts than PayPal allows. You are actually
allowed to have two PayPal accounts according to PayPal’s user
agreement, one personal account and one premier or business
account.
· You have moved into a new resident which was an address
previously used by limited (banned) PayPal’s user
· Your ISP (Internet Service Provider) assigned you an IP address that
was previously used by a limited PayPal user
· You have a new phone number that was once used by a limited
PayPal user. (This is usually pretty unlikely to happen but it’s
possible)
· You sold something to someone who questioned its authenticity.
· Using the same bank account and/or credit card information with
multiple PayPal accounts
· You sold a high risk item or an item which is very likely to be
counterfeit.
· You used a proxy service to access your PayPal account
· Refusal to cooperate with PayPal in an investigation to confirm
identity when requested.
· Logging into your PayPal account from a foreign country that is not
included in the permitted countries list.
· Too many complaints regarding your account, business or
service/merchandise.
· Reports from credit agencies of high level of risk
· Account has been involved or used to facilitate fraudulent activity.
· Name on the bank account associated with the PayPal account does
not match the name on the PayPal account
· Using PayPal to sell prohibited items.
· Return of an incoming Electronic Funds Transfer for insufficient
funds in the bank account, incorrect bank routing number or
incorrect bank account number.

Why your eBay was suspended?

You’re reading this book because you were probably banned from eBay and
PayPal. You probably also slipped up somewhere so below are a list of the
top reasons users get banned and how you can avoid it in the future. The two
main reasons why eBay will suspend your account are because of a violation
of their policies or not paying your eBay fees. So here are a few more
reasons why you can get kicked off eBay.
· One way you can get suspended is if you move into an ex
eBayers home who was suspended. Since they probably used
their home address already you will also do the same and in fact
you can get suspended this way. I know it sucks but its very
possible.
· Your are under 18 years of age. PayPal or eBay don’t want kids
on their sites so if you’re under 18 it’s an automatic permanent
suspension.
· You sold prohibited or restricted items.
· Adding a suspended shipping/mailing address to giving this out
to a customer. Don’t ever message a buyer with a previously
used address even if PayPal asks you for the return address.
· Using the same credit card information with multiple accounts.
This will get you linked and banned.
· Using different information on your eBay and PayPal accounts.
· Using an old phone number for a new account.
· Using the same IP address for multiple accounts.
· Having one PayPal for multiple eBay accounts. You are allowed
to have more than 1 eBay account but if one of them goes down
chances are the other one will too.
· Listing a lot of items right away. This will most likely result in
a suspension or selling limits.
· Trying to complete a sale outside of eBay.
· Using the same password as a suspended, limited or banned
user.
· Using the same email as a suspended, limited or banner user
· Similar address a suspended, limited, banned user
· Similar first and last name as a suspended, limited, banned user
· Using eBay programs such as Turbolister or any other software.
It’s best to stay away eBay software that you don’t need
because it just makes it easier to get caught and harder to keep
everything organized and stay under the radar.
· Logging into a suspended, limited, banned account then into
your new account.
· Using proxy servers or software that hides your IP. PayPal or
eBay don’t like this at all will suspend your account.
· Buying too many cheap eBooks trying to inflate feedback. Ebay
knows what you’re up to and will most likely suspend you
indefinitely. I’ve seen lots of accounts go NARU like this so
trust me don’t overdo it. There is a better way I will explain
later on.
· Shill bidding. Shill bidding is when a user bids on his own item
with a different account in order to raise the price of his/her
item. If you’ve done it you probably know what it is and don’t
do it since you’re going to go through some trouble if you do.
· A low feedback score. If you`re getting too many complaints or
having a lot of cases opened against you then you’re in trouble
of getting suspended. EBay will usually place selling limits on
your account until you can work your feedback up.
· Reusing the same titles, image URLs, auction descriptions in
auctions. Sometimes buyers or even competition might
recognize your auctions and knowing you`ve recently been
suspended they can report you to eBay. EBay will find out
you`ve been selling under a new name and shut your account
down. So yes somebody who tattle tales on you can get you
banned again which is why it`s best if you use different image
hosts and change up your description styles.
· Getting flagged by another user
· Use of profanity, eBay prohibits the use of racist, hateful, sexual
or obscene language.
· Again talking rudely or sending rude emails to eBay or PayPal.
They are the ones who control your account and can shut you
down in seconds so talking nicely will get your 10 times farther
than just talking sh*t.
· Stealing photos from other eBayers. Simply put you can’t use
someone else’s photos on your own auction!
· Listing too many items right away. This applies more toward
those of you selling high risk items. For example, if you’re
going to list 10 Blackberries from the first day you’re probably
going to get them taken down the same day. If you listing
generic or low risk items such as books which imposes less
hazard you can go ahead and list more items.
· If you are linked with another account. According to eBay if
you are associated in any way with a suspended user your
account in turn will also be suspended.
2. Understanding how eBay and PayPal keep
track of your accounts
Once suspended from eBay all of your information is stored in there servers
to recognize you whenever you sign in, list an item, make a withdrawal etc
and this will always be used against you forever to keep you off the website. I
like to make the analogy of let’s say a person who’s on the no fly list and all
parts of their identity including name, height, address etc will be used to
identify and keep them from using commercial airliners. This is quite similar
to how eBay works. Instead of physical tracking eBay tracks you through
several virtual ways. If you register with the same information for a new
account PayPal will link you back to the suspended account immediately. But
don’t be fooled since PayPal doesn’t only use your personal information to
link you to a suspended account but also information from your computer.
Your goal is eliminate any way eBay and PayPal can link you back to a
suspended account. You need to make them think that you are a legitimate
new eBay seller and this is your first time on eBay.
The most important factor to know is eBay and PayPal are the same company.
Yes it’s true! Hopefully a lot of you already knew this but if you didn’t know
now you do. Being the same company PayPal and eBay are allowed to share
your personal information with each other and this helps them in identifying
who you are. This is why it’s crucial that your eBay and PayPal account
information is accurate and this will lower your chances of a possible
suspension. So without any further wait here they are!

Three ways eBay or PayPal can recognize

you as a suspended user.
There are three main ways eBay and PayPal utilize to distinguish you as a
banned user and those are your Browser cookies, IP address and your
personal information. Many people believe that you need a different
computer or need to reinstall windows in order to sell again on eBay but
that’s not true. So there’s no point in going to the library to open new
accounts if that ever came to your mind. You can easily start selling
anonymously on eBay in the comfort of your own home with your own
computer.
What method does eBay use to track you?
Ebay uses a new technology called Bayesian filtering and this program is
efficient to sort through massive amounts of collected data and information
from different sources very quickly and let the computer figure out if you
account complies with the policies and what actions to take in order to either
kick you off the system or put a suspension on your account. This gives you
an advantage of learning how the system works and then being able to work
around it. Below is a brief overview of the techniques used by eBay and
PayPal to track you.
Personal Information (Account details)
The first way eBay and PayPal use to track and link you to suspended
accounts are through your personal information. Your personal account
details includes things such as you name, address, phone number, email
address, bank account numbers etc. For example if you use the same address
or bank account on two accounts eBay’s system will recognize you and kick
you off the site once again. This is a pretty simple concept to understand and
it was probably the way you thought you’d use and could get back on eBay or
PayPal. I’m guessing you probably had an idea of changing your personal
details but those details would be useless if you hadn’t defeated the other two
techniques of eBay tracking.
Ip Address
The second way that eBay is able to recognize you as a suspended user even
before you try signing up is through your IP address. Almost every website
on the internet that has a database of users saves your IP address every time
you log in. As soon as you log into your account your IP address is recorded
and if that IP address matches a suspended user in turn your current account
will too soon be suspended.
Your Browser and Flash Cookies
Everyone uses an Internet browser, in fact I’m sure you bought this book on
an Internet browser whether it be Internet Explorer, Google Chrome or any
other browser. This is one of the ways eBay tracks your activity. When you
log in, eBay drops cookies onto your Internet browser (not real cookies) and
those cookies enable eBay to store personal information which helps them
link suspended accounts. You can delete these cookies each time you log in
but there’s an easier workaround for that which is explained in the next
chapter.
These were the three main ways that eBay or PayPal use to track you and in
the later chapters I will show you how to bypass each of them. One mistake
and you can be linked to an old account which is why it is so important to
follow the procedures carefully and take caution as outlined.

3. Setting up Your Computer for Your new

eBay and PayPal Account
Now that you know how eBay and PayPal tracks you its time to find out how
to create a new eBay account. The first step is to properly prepare and set up
your computer for your new eBay and PayPal account and once complete you
can move onto the next step. Once your old account is suspended or limited
you need to forget about it and get to work on making another one. You need
to make sure all the details of your new account are BRAND NEW so eBay
won’t recognize you as a suspended user. Its like when you made your first
ever eBay account your IP address, home address, name, email, phone etc
was all unique to you and your account only.
A big rule to follow is to NEVER log back into a suspended account. In case
you have a limited account with PayPal and you need to withdraw the
remaining funds after 180 days you should change your IP address and use a
different or better yet the same user account you first used with the
corresponding PayPal account. Now that you understand that eBay uses
Browser Cookies, IP addresses and personal account information to track you
lets tackle the first step which is browser cookies.

Step 1: Create a new user account on your

computer.
The first step you need to take when creating a new eBay account is to make
another user account on your computer. Creating a new user account will
separate your flash objects and browser cookies. Remember there is a limit
for the amount of user accounts you can have on your computer which I
believe is around 10. Therefore, you can only have around 10 eBay accounts
per computer and I don’t think you’ll need that many anyways. It is very
important that you keep separated your cookies from one account to another
so eBay or PayPal cannot link them.
What are Flash Cookies and how does it affect your
eBay account ?
Flash cookies are used by some websites to store small bits of information
about you. Every time you surf the Internet, your browser collects bits and
pieces of information from the sites you visit, either in the form of cache or
cookies. Cache stores photos and site data on your hard drive to help speed up
page loading. Cookies are small files deposited on your computer so Websites
can remember certain things about you. (Whether you've been to their site
before, added something to your shopping cart, or logged in with a username
and password, for example.)
But cookies aren't just deposited by site hosts. Advertising companies, whose
ads are often present across multiple sites visited by a given user, can plant
cookies of their own, giving them a window into browsers' surfing habits.
This rightly makes some people uncomfortable, so browser makers have for
years included tools to clear local storage and cookies, limit their use in the
first place, or specifically block third-party cookies. As soon as you create
your eBay account you’ll have up to 100 cookies dropped onto your
computers in the first 3 minutes monitoring your every move.
This is why its so important to make sure cookies don’t interfere with your
eBay accounts past and present. If you keep deleting the cookies it may raise
suspicion to eBay that your not a normal user and instead of forming this
problem its better off to create another user account.
Why you shouldn’t delete your cookies
A simple resolution to having cookies on your browser might be to just delete
them but that’s not the case. Ebay and PayPal don’t like it when there users
delete there cookies constantly because they suspect that fraudulent activity is
going on. You will most likely end up with a suspended account if you do
this. Its simply better to just create a new user account and that will separate
your browser cookies from each account.

Step 2: Change your IP address

This is a very significant step to take because it is usually your IP address that
was the reason why your account got linked. It’s not very hard to change your
IP address and in the next few pages I will explain how IP addresses work
and how you can easily change it.
What is an IP address and how does it affect your
eBay account?
Your IP address is pretty much like a home address for your computer. IP
addresses allow computers to connect over the Internet. There are two
purposes IP addresses are used by eBay and those are to find your location
and to identify you as a suspended user.
Don’t worry eBay can’t find you exact location but your IP address will be
redirected to your ISP’s (Internet Service Provider) location so make sure the
address on your eBay is relatively close to the ISP. For example, you can’t
have your eBay address listed in New York when you live in California.
Every time you log into your eBay or PayPal account your IP address is
recorded and kept in there system forever. Hence, if you log into your new
account with the same IP address you had with your suspended account eBay
is going to kick you out again.
The good thing if you do mess up once or twice with your IP address, eBay
won’t link your accounts based just on your IP address. The reason for this is
some users are on a large network where there are multiple users sharing the
same IP address such as a library or office. However, if you do share the
same IP address as a suspended user eBay tends to keep a closer eye on you
hoping you will slip up. Eliminate being tracked by changing your IP address
and making another user account to separate browser cookies.

You only need to change your IP address once and not every time you log in
unless you have more than 1 eBay account. In that case you need to change
your IP address between logins to prevent them from linking. It’s easiest to
be selling on one account only but keep backup account set and ready to go if
you do ever get banned again your sales won’t be affected.
Dynamic vs. Static IP addresses
Dynamic IP addresses are provided by most Internet Service Providers
nowadays and they allow you to have a different IP address rather than static
IP addresses which always stay the same. Just to clarify an internet service
provider is the company that provides you your internet such as Telus or
AT&T. In creating a new ban proof eBay account you need to have a
dynamic IP address. So make sure you have a dynamic IP address.
How to find out if your IP address is dynamic
To know if your IP address is dynamic follow the easy steps below
Step 1: Open Command prompt (Go to Start, Accessories)
Step 2: Type in [ ipconfig /all ]
Step 3: Scroll down to where it says DHCP and if it says it enabled then you
have a dynamic IP address
If you happen to have a static IP address then you need to call your Internet
Service Provider to change it to a dynamic one. It is most likely you do have
a dynamic IP address. The only reason why you need a dynamic IP address is
so you can change it, if your not sure there’s no need to stress over it and just
go ahead with the next step. But keep in mind if you can’t change your IP
after you’ve tried everything then your probably have a static IP and will
need to get a dynamic one.
How to find your IP address

You can check you IP address here http://whatismyipaddress.com/

http://whatismyipaddress.com/ or by just typing into Google “what is my IP
address”
It is crucial that you note down your IP address now so when you go to
change it you can confirm that it indeed was altered.

How to change your IP address

Option 1: Unplug the Power Cord for 24 hours
In this scenario you have a cable or DSL modem, a router and a computer.
Your modem is connected to your Router and computer and vice versa for the
router. This is the easiest way to change your IP address.
Your set up should look similar to this

All you need to do is unplug your modem and router and make sure it is
disconnected from the power outlet. Leave them plugged into your computer
but disconnect them from the wall. Wait at the minimum 24 hours before
reconnecting (Yes that means no internet for 1 day) and this should reset your
IP address. If you only have a modem and don’t have router you need to do
the same thing.
Step 1 : Write down your IP address

Step 2 : Disconnect Router and Modem from the power outlet. Leave
disconnected for minimum 24 hours
Step 3: Reconnect router and modem and check IP address again to
verify it has been changed.
The way this works is you have a lease on your IP address given to you by
your ISP and if you aren’t connected to the Internet and the lease expires then
whenever you do connect to the Internet your ISP will have given the old IP
address to someone else or terminated it and you will be given a new one.
If the first method doesn’t work you have two more options left to change
your IP address. Make sure your modem and router are connected and
powered on. Again if you have a static IP address you cannot change it and
will need to contact your ISP.

Option 2: Change your Mac Address

In this method again you have a modem, router and computer in your setup.
Changing you Mac address is going to require you to have access to your
routers manual and set up page so if your having trouble with this option use
the previous one. This is probably the fastest way of changing your IP address
but not the easiest.
1 . First get your current IP address and write it down.
2 . Now go to your router‘s setup page; type 192.168.0.1 into your Internet
browser. If that doesn't work go to your router‘s manual and look for your
router‘s IP address to access your router‘s setup page.
3. Default password to your router setup page might be: admin/password;
admin/admin;
admin/*bank*; if you‘re having trouble with the username and password,
again check with your
router‘s manual for username and password or go here for default router
username and passwords.

4. Once you‘re logged in, look around for your Wan MAC address
(xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx). Once you find it. It's usually under the mac address
clone tab. all you need to do now is change the very last one or two digits of
your MAC address and save your settings. For example if your router‘s MAC
Address is: 0B:0C:0B:0D:0C:06 you can change it to: 0B:0C:0B:0D:0C:07,
then save your settings. Your router will then restart.
5. Once your router is reset, unplug your broadband modem for 15 seconds
then power it back on. Your modem will see that your router‘s MAC address
has changed and will attempt to grab a new IP for you.
6. Once everything is powered back on (give it a minute), then reset your
router one last time. I just
unplug it for 10 seconds then plug it back in.
7. Last step! Now with your computer, make sure you're connected to your
wireless router. If you did everything right you should now have a new IP
address. Go to http://www.whatismyip.com/ to see if your IP address has
changed. If not try the steps again.
Option 4: Release and renew your IP address
Releasing and renewing is another way to change your IP address and is
rather simple to do. I’ve given a detailed step by step process to follow below.
This only works if you have a direct connection and no router. If you are
connected to your through a router than look at the above steps.

Your set up should look similar to this if your using this method.
Step 1: Click Start
Step 2: Click All Programs expand the Accessories menu
Step 3: In the Accessories menu, Right Click Command Prompt and choose
Run as administrator
Step 4: Type ipconfig /release and hit enter
Step 5: Click Start, Control Panel, and open Network and Sharing Center.
Depending on your view, you may have to click Network and Internet
before you see the Network and Sharing Center icon
Step 6: From the Tasks menu on the left, choose Manage Network
Connections
Step 7: Find and Right click on the active Local Area Connection and choose
Properties (If you’re hit with a UAC prompt, choose Continue)
Step 8: Double-click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)
Step 9: Click on Use the following IP address
Step 10: Enter a false IP like 123.123.123.123

Step 11 Press Tab and the Subnet Mask section will populate with default
numbers
Step 12 Hit OK twice
Step 13: Right click the active Local Area Connection again and choose
Properties
Step 14: Double-click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)
Step 15: Choose Obtain an IP address automatically
Step 16: Hit OK twice
Step 17: Go to What Is My IP to see if you have a new IP address
Virtual Private Networking
This is your go to option if you want to create a eBay account in another
country. For example lets say you want to create a eBay account in Canada
but you live in the United States. A reason for why you might want to
consider this is if you don’t have access to a Social Security number. When
you go with a VPN remember to choose one that provides a dedicated IP
address.
What if I get a IP address that was previously used
by a suspended user?
If you ever do happen to get a IP address that was used by a suspended user
you obviously need to change it again. You should keep a list of IP addresses
used for each account you create so if you ever get the same IP again you can
change it before logging in and thus preventing a suspension. Use a program
such as Microsoft Excel or just a plain word document to keep track of
passwords, usernames, emails, and all other information including your IP
addresses. You can read more about this later on in Chapter 8. There is a 3%
chance you will receive the same IP address.

4. Creating your new eBay and PayPal

Account
Once you’ve changed your IP address and created a new user account you’re
ready to move onto the next step. When it comes to eBay your personal
account details are very delicate and if you use any of the same information
from a suspended account you have a great chance of being linked. In this
chapter you will learn how to come up with completely brand new personal
account information to help create your new eBay account.

Step 3: Create a new name

The first thing you want to take care of is what name and email address your
going to use. Here’s the part where you need to do a little bit of thinking. The
downside is that you want to have a name which is similar or can be seen as a
nickname to the name on your bank account. The reason for this is because it
may raise suspicion to your bank due to money coming in from a different
name. However this isn’t always the case.
You may already know that PayPal requires a SSN number and you probably
have already used up your own and that rules out the possibility of using your
own name. So take a look at the options below and use the one that best fits
your needs and accessibility.
First option : Using a friend or family
member’s name
Using a friend or family member’s name if you live in the U.S.
If you live in the U.S. and want your PayPal account to last then this is your
best bet. Using a friends or family member’s name will provide you with a
legitimate SSN number and make your account a lot more trustworthy then
one which has all fake details. It is easier to create an account in a friends or
family member’s name in case you ever get limited and PayPal asks you to
verify your information you can actually go out and do it. If you come up
short with being able to verify your information then your going to have to
leave that account alone and start on another.
Using a friend or family member’s name if you live outside the U.S.
In you don’t live in the U.S. you only need to ask a friend or family member
for permission to use their name, date of birth and address(optional). The
reason why you should go this route is because if your account ever gets
limited you can easily provide documentation such as photo ID. It is also a
good idea that your friend or family member doesn’t’t already have an eBay
account because if your account were to get limited both of them would go
down with each other. The disadvantage to this route is if your friend or
family member ever wants to open a PayPal account in the future he/she wont
be able to if you get limited again.
Step 1: Ask a friend or family member for there permission to use their
Name, Date of birth, address and Social Security Number.
Step 2: Register with these details (Only after reading this book)

Second option: Use a nickname or

variation in name.
If you cannot use a friend or family member’s name your best option is to use
your nickname or name variation of your own name. One thing to keep in
mind is you won’t be linked on name alone since there are lots of people in
the world with the same name. However if you slip up on a combination of
things then you possibly will get linked to a previously suspended account.
Using a name variation or nickname is highly recommended for those of you
who are outside the United States since you won’t be required to provide a
social security number.
Step 1: Think of a nickname or name variation of your own name
Step 2: Think of a birth date (Anything over the age of 18 will do)
As mentioned before banks are not happy with money transfers that come
into your account in different names. For example, if your name is Bob
Richards and you have money coming in under the name of John Rufus then
the bank will sometimes close your account down and so will PayPal. To
avoid this and prevent your accounts from being linked and getting kicked out
of PayPal and the bank you can use a name variation. For example, if your
name is Bob Richards you can use a name variation of Robert Richards or
Bobby Richards. If you bank asks you why you have deposits coming in
under different names you can just say it might have been misspelled or that’s
my nickname and they’ll let it pass. The risk of using a name variation is
getting linked back to your previous account. It’s more likely you’ll get
linked with a name variation if your name is not common or there are very
few people with that name on PayPal or eBay. Although this is very unlikely
to happen if you follow the rest of the steps outlined and if you completely
distance yourself away from your old PayPal identity.

Third Option : Using a Doing Business As

name
If your selling at higher volumes and you can afford to use a doing business
as (DBA) name then this section is for you.
Why use a DBA name and how to acquire it
A doing business as name is a legal fictitious business name you can use in
place of your own name or even a friend or family member’s name. Instead of
you using your name you can use your business name. For example lets say
your business is called Freddy’s Mobile Phones, you can use that as your
PayPal name and not your own name. This method is recommended if you
are selling in higher volumes or are selling on your own website and not on
eBay.
To obtain a DBA name your going to need to check in your individual states
and the laws by doing a Google search. It will usually cost anywhere from
$10 to $60. The benefits to a DBA name is you can use it anywhere you do
business in place of your name and it is legal. You can even open up bank
accounts, and credit cards in your DBA name. It’s all totally legal!

Fourth option: Using any name

The benefit of using a random made up name is that you aren’t using your
own name which significantly lowers the risk of getting your account linked.
Opening a merchant account with PayPal
If you have your own website or company and you don’t use eBay you can
apply for there Website payment Pro payment solution since this would be a
better option if you were selling on higher volumes or are looking for
something bigger. This is an internet merchant account and gateway in one so
you can easily accept PayPal payments and process credit cards. There is a
$35 monthly fee with additional transaction fees. The benefits to this option
is your customer doesn’t need to have a PayPal account to pay with there
credit or debit card. So if you’ve been banned from PayPal with a regular
account you can always get a DBA name with all new information and apply
for a merchant account with PayPal
Why does PayPal ask for you Social Security
Number?
Now you don’t have to provide a social security number but if you don’t your
account will probably be permanently limited and in this case you would
need to open another one. PayPal requests you provide a Social Security
Number for a couple of reasons. Firstly, they want to make sure you are a
legit and honest person who is using there service to sell on eBay and if your
SSN number is verified then they’ll lift your limitation and let you continue
selling. However, if you chose to not use a friend or family member’s
personal information then you won’t be able to provide documents to verify
your identity. Unable to come up with a SSN and your account will stay
limited till you do provide one. Any money you have will stay locked in your
account and they will release it after 180 days (that’s there policy as of now).
You’ll most likely get your money released to your bank account but your
account stays limited forever.
Although there’s an evil side to PayPal’s request for your SSN. One of the
reasons why PayPal wants to know your SSN is so they can mess around with
your credit. If your account ever goes into negative balance they will mark it
on your credit report and turn the information over to collection agencies. So
if you ever give out your SSN to PayPal make sure to not leave your account
in negative balance or the collection agencies will come after you!
Resolving the PayPal SSN request
Okays lets say your account got limited even though you tried your best to
avoid it. What can you do if PayPal is requesting a SSN and you don’t have
the means to provide one because you chose to not use a friend or family
members information. This usually happens to your account when your sales
are starting to go up and overall every US PayPal user will eventually be
asked to provide their SSN.

Step 4: Create a new email address

How to create a new email address for your new
eBay and PayPal account
Every eBay and PayPal account needs an email address if you want to
register and this part is relatively simple. I recommended that you use Gmail
where it disables web beacons. Web beacons are tiny images that eBay places
in your emails to acquire your IP address and read your browser cookies
through the emails they send. Make sure you disable images from displaying
within your emails. You can do this by going to

Settings > External content (same page) and select “Ask before displaying
external content”

Another tip when creating your email account to avoid using your real name
but instead use the same name when registering for your email that you are
going to use for your eBay and PayPal accounts. It is very important that you
don’t open let alone receive emails from eBay or PayPal that allow images.
So be sure to get an email address with text only emails. And be sure to use
the same email address for both your eBay and PayPal account when
registering. So if your account name is Mark Davids your email address
should be something like markdavids10@gmail.com

Step 5: Obtain a new Address

This is one of the most important steps to take so I advise you read carefully.
When coming up with your new address you want to make sure it is relatively
close by (150 km radius max). Your best option is to keep your address in the
same city. If you want you can give the address of the nearest McDonalds or
even a made up address but this is not recommended. You will do way better
off if you choose an address that you have access to. The trick is if ever your
customer needs to return an item you write the from address on the package
as your real address (where you reside) and your PayPal address as the phony
one. If the customer asks why the return and your PayPal address are different
you can say it’s a drop shippers address when in fact its your real address.
The only risk in using a address which you don’t have access to is when a
customer is trying to return an item. The customer may disagree to ship back
to your drop shippers address (which is your real address) to be covered
under PayPal or Credit Card buyer protection. Again, you want to try telling
them that the item was sent from a drop shipper (your real address) and you
can’t have them send it back to your PayPal address (your phoney address).
You can even offer them a $25 dollar rebate for there hassle. Be sure the
from/return address on the package is the same as your real address.
Return Labels
Another choice you can make is to ship with return labels. I know for sure
that Purolator and UPS allow you to print return labels. Return labels are a
label that already has your address on it and the customer can just attach it to
the package and take it down to UPS and return the item. I believe it costs
around $3 for the return label. This is more beneficial to sellers who sell at
higher volumes and small businesses.
First Option : Using a friend or family member’s
address
This way you will have an address that you have access to in case something
goes wrong. You can ask a friend or family member such as a relative to use
there address simple and clear. If you don’t have any of those option available
or they didn’t let you can consider the below. You can even ask your
neighbour if they will allow it. It’s a lot easier if they do since its just a door
down or across the street if your package ever does get returned back to your
PayPal address.
Second Option : Renting a PO box
Your second option is to use a P.O. box which you can rent from your local
post office or wherever obtainable. You can also get them at the UPS store
where they won’t display ``P.O. box`` but instead just a # symbol and the
UPS store address. This works very well because eBay and PayPal frown
upon P.O. boxes since they are mostly used by scammers and this will greaten
your chance of getting suspended. Self storage companies will also offer
mailbox rental and they will let you use there address instead of “P.O. box”.
An area where you might experience some trouble is when the post office
asks you for ID and your name on ID doesn’t match the name on the
package. This is more difficult if you are buying items rather then selling.
However, if your selling an item and the customer returns the item to your
P.O. box instead of your real address you can just replace the name on the
return address with your eBay ID name. This way if the P.O. box asks you
why the name on the return address is different you can show them that its
your eBay business ID. For example you name is John Smithson and your
eBay ID is something like SmithsonDVD`s. It doesn’t necessarily have to
have your name in it since you can always show a copy of your eBay
information and what not.
Third Option : Using any address
This last method requires you to choose any address preferably well known
stores such as McDonalds, Walmart or other big box stores. It is mandatory
that it is a real address. You would need to use the techniques mentioned
above if the customer ever wants to return an item. Again if he/she ever asks
why your PayPal and the address on the package are different you want to
explain to them that it’s a drop shipper (your real address) who sent them the
item and you should not return it back to your PayPal address (your phoney
big box store address).
Fourth Option : Use a virtual address provider or
mailbox forwarding address
A virtual address provider is similar to a mailbox rental company and it is
commonly used by small businesses to cut down on operating costs.
Using Bongous.Com
Bongo.com is a mail forwarding company that will forward mail delivered to
your Bongo address to your corresponding country. The great thing about
this service is that its only $5 for registration. How Bongous.com works is
when you sign up for their service you receive a U.S. address and you can use
that for your eBay or PayPal account. The address you’ll receive is not a P.O.
box but usually a unique address within the warehouse. So you can
supplement a U.S. VPN with a U.S. address to create a U.S. account.
Bongous.com also supplies Europeon addresses. This service will work great
if you ever need to return an item to your own address since it will reach
Bongo and then be sent to your home. This means there is no need to explain
to your customer that your Real address is a dropshipper’s address instead
you can just use your Bongo address as the return address if you’d like
because it will make it back safe to your home.
You can find a virtual office company in your city by Googling:
[ Your city] Virtual office
[ Your city] Virtual address
[ Your city] mailbox forwarding
Here are some additional companies that I have already found.

United States

New York, New York http://www.nymail.com/
Chattanooga, Tennessee http://www.chattanoogaexecutivecenter.com/

Step 6: Obtain a new phone number

The next step in creating your eBay account is to obtain a new phone number
in which you have access to. By new phone number I means BRAND NEW
and don’t use a previously used phone number with any of your PayPal or
eBay accounts. There are several ways to obtain a new phone number to use
with your eBay or PayPal account. You can’t use a random phone number
because when you first create your eBay account they will ask you to verify
your phone number. I actually ended up changing my phone number after my
registration and still have my PayPal and eBay account in good standing. Plus
I can also use my current number for my next eBay or PayPal account if I
ever need to.
First Option : Using an extra cell phone or changed
number since your last suspension.
If you’ve changed your cell phone number since your last eBay or PayPal
suspension then you can use that. This is a very easy way to go but if you
don’t have two cell phones or a changed number look at the options below.
Second Option: Borrow or use a friends phone to
verify the call
If you want and this is probably an easier way to do this is you can borrow a
friend or relatives number and take the call on their phone. eBay asks you to
verify your phone number when you first register and enter usually a 4 digit
code. If your family member has a cell phone you can ask them for
permission to use it with your eBay. I’m sure someone will let you use their
phone for 2 minutes.
Third Option : Prepaid Cellphone
Now I will tell you from my personal experience I have used these a couple
of times and they do work great. A prepaid cellphone can usually be bought
at a local electronics or big box store. I’m going to talk about Tracfone here.
Tracfone is a prepaid cellphone that gives you a unique number with each
phone and costs around $10 for every phone. You get free 10 minutes + of
calling time with your initial purchase but you can also increase that by
paying more (you can get an additional 30 minutes for $9.99). Its available at
Walmart and you can also purchase it online. I recommend this is over the
Voip since you don’t need to pay monthly fees If you ever get suspended all
you need to do it call Tracfone cancel your phone number and go get another
airtime card and reactivate your phone. This will give you a new number
without needing to go buy another Tracphone. These are available in Canada
from Petro Canada Mobile (Gas Station) and 7 Eleven`s Speakout Phones. If
you have your own phone you can just buy the Sim Card with however many
minutes you may need. Be sure to do your research!
Fourth Option : VOIP service
A voice over (VOIP) is a home phone service that works over your existing
high speed internet. You don’t only have to use it for eBay but also for
anything you’d like to use it for. When using VOIP try to have the same area
code as your address in order to avoid any suspicion. You only need to keep
your VOIP active for about a month months after successfully creating your
account and after that you can close it.
To find you local phone number provider type into Google “[ Your city]
Voip”
Phone number providers and VOIPs/ Redirects

TRACFONE CityNumbers.co.uk
Yahoo Phone DM Numbers
Google Talk Jetnumber
Communications

Stay away from Skype since it was previously owned by eBay and Microsoft
bought the company out. You can use Skype for other things but don’t use it
for anything eBay related. A downside to this option is you may end up
getting a recycled number from a previous user who also may have used it for
eBay and got suspended.
Fourth Option : Google Voice
Google voice is a free service that allows you to create a phone number and
forward calls to your real phone number. This service at the moment is only
available to U.S. residents so to those of you already living in the United
States I would recommended this service to you. If you live outside the U.S.
and want to take advantage of this program it is very possible to do so but
since this is a eBay related book I’m not going to get into it . You can figure it
out on your as there are plenty of guides online telling you how to do so.
Make sure your area code is corresponding to your location
When obtaining your new phone number to use with eBay you want to make
sure the area code is corresponding to the address and city you’ll be using for
your new eBay account. If your area code on your phone number does not
match the appropriate city eBay will notice and will most likely ask you to
further verify your information which may make things harder for you. For
example, if your new address is located in Detroit your area code should be
313 and your number would be 313- XXX-XXXX.

Step 7: Obtain a new bank account and

credit card
Finally creating a bank account and a credit card is the last step toward
creating both an eBay and PayPal account. Here there isn’t much of a need to
be stealthy and defiantly DO NOT use fake information because if you do
you will get in trouble with the law. Unless you want the FBI or even the
police knocking on your front door you don’t want to mess around with your
information when creating your bank account. The thing with PayPal is its
just a corporation and not a bank or financial institution. And since PayPal is
just another company you can mess around with them and do all of the things
they do to people right back at them. Its all perfectly legal! What PayPal
looks for is a new routing and account number. There is no need for a new
institution number and you won’t get linked if you have a matching
institution number since that is only the number of the bank. PayPal can’t
verify the name on the bank account unless the bank on there own pass it on
to PayPal which they never do since its against there policies. Nevertheless
PayPal will ask you for the name on the bank account but you can just put the
name you came up with for your PayPal and eBay account in Step 3.
So now that’s behind us there are a couple of easy and efficient ways you can
go about creating your bank account. Some banks may even have a problem
with you opening too many bank accounts so if there adding up close the ones
you don’t need.
First Option : Create a bank account online

This is the most easiest and time efficient way to obtain a bank account. I will
list several banks and credit unions which are recommended to be used with
PayPal. You may be required to verify your ID by going to the bank after
registering but that depends on each individual bank and where you reside.
Remember don’t use any fake information when creating your bank account
because there is no need for that in this step.
Second Option : Creating a bank account in person
The title pretty much sums up everything here. You can either go to the bank
to create an account or do it online. It’s best to open an account in person
because the bank will be able to verify who you are which won’t raise any
issues in the future. Below is a list of banks that you can use with PayPal and
are most recommended.
United States United Kingdom Canada
Barclays Saver RBC Royal
HSBC Direct Bank of Canada
ING Direct * Abbey Basic HSBC Bank
People‟s Account Canada
United Bank Alliance & TD Toronto
SunTrust Leicester Basic Dominion
Online Co-operative Scotiabank
Banking Bank Laurentian
Wachovia * RBS Key Bank
Capital One * Account TD Canada
Bank of Smile.co.uk Trust
America NatWest Step President
Wells Fargo Choice
Chase Financial
Emigrant National Bank
Direct BMO Bank of
Guaranty Bank Montreal
CIBC Canadian
Imperial Bank
ING Direct *
ING direct, Wachovia, and Capital one require matching names on PayPal
and your Bank account so it is advised not to choose those.
Third Option : Obtain a prepaid debit card with
Direct Deposit
This option seems to be only available in the U.S. so international users will
have to sit out on this one. Any prepaid credit or debit card that comes with
direct deposit will supply a bank account and routing number so you can add
funds to the card. You would then enter the bank information supplied with
the card to your PayPal and withdraw the funds to the card. PayPal believes
it’s a bank account but actually it’s a prepaid card. You would then go to an
ATM with your card and withdraw the money. Remember to add the bank
information supplied with the card not the credit card numbers itself.
Where to get this card?
You can obtain a prepaid card with direct deposit from various sources.
Google [ Prepaid Cards with Direct Deposit]. A few examples are Western
Union, Green Dot and Bank Freedom.
Obtain a new credit card
Now it’s not mandatory to get yourself a credit card when you’re creating a
eBay account but there’s one reason why you might want to consider one.
The soul purpose for a credit card is to help pay your eBay fees without using
your PayPal account and to verify your PayPal.
Why should you use a credit card to pay your eBay
fees and not PayPal?
If you ever happened to get suspended from eBay and you had your eBay fees
to automatically be paid from your PayPal here’s what can happen. eBay will
try to collect the remaining fees after your suspension even if you left your
PayPal balance empty. What happens next is PayPal will pay off the eBay
fees and go into your bank account. Even if you’ve emptied your bank
account and the balance is at $0, the bank will pay PayPal , your account will
go into negative balance, and you’ll be charged an overdraft fee. The fee will
be somewhere between $10 to $40 dollars and will continue to do this until
they’ve recovered their money. So now you are left with a negative balance
and are forced to pay the bank all your overdraft fees. This can generally be
avoided if you don’t pay your eBay fees with PayPal and can use a credit card
or better yet a prepaid card. Usually this happens to accounts that are labelled
“No longer a registered user” meaning eBay has deleted your account
permanently. It is also a higher chance of happening if you have a
considerable amount of fees owed to eBay and PayPal feels its worthwhile to
go after you. This can all be avoided easily if you close your bank account.
It is also a very critical factor that you only pay your eBay fees at the END of
the month when you have received your invoice. The reason for this being is
sending in weekly or multiple payments before the final invoice might draw
attention to eBay and they may just limit your account and tell you to verify
your information before reinstatement. So only pay when you have to and
don’t keep paying your eBay fees throughout the month just to see a $0
balance!
Never use a previously used credit card or bank
account on PayPal
One of the crucial steps which has been constantly repeated throughout this
book is to never use information that has already been used on a suspended
account. Each piece of information should be unique to one account only.

Step 8 : Create a new Username and

Password
After you have completed all of the other steps you need to come up with a
new username and password. Again, this is another way you can easily get
linked if you decide to use the same password or even closely spelled
username to another suspended account. The username isn’t a big threat but
the password is something that can turn the tables on you if you also screw up
somewhere else. You won’t get linked on password alone but if it becomes a
combination of things then its most likely you can.
Simply put, choose a password which is brand new and hasn’t previously
been used on any of your eBay accounts and same goes for your username. It
best to keep the password for your user account, eBay and PayPal account the
same so you don’t forget it. Same goes for usernames.

5. Checklist for Creating an Account in a

Different Country
Okay finally you’ve gathered all the information you need to register and get
back on eBay and PayPal and start making MONEY! Now you’ll learn how
to avoid getting suspended and a few pointers on selling on eBay.
If you have any programs such as Turbolister or other eBay toolbars you need
to remove those since there a threat to your accounts. Each time you open
those programs they’ll immediately inform eBay of the IP address and
username you have used with that program. To put in summary you can’t use
any programs that are linked to your eBay account since it will greaten your
chance of getting your account suspended again.
Checklist for creating your new
account
Once you’ve read over the book you can refer back to this checklist to help
summarize the steps to creating your new eBay and PayPal account
Step 1: Create a new user account on your computer to avoid browser
cookies from linking your accounts
Step 2 : Change your IP address
Step 3: Come up with a new name to use on your accounts (DBA and
LLC optional).
Step 4: Create a new email address
Step 5: Obtain a new mailing address
Step 6: Obtain a new working phone number
Step 7: Obtain a new bank account and prepaid card.
Creating your PayPal account
After you have obtained all of the above information your ready for the last
step until you get your new eBay and PayPal account up and going. If you
don’t want to create a PayPal account and in turn are going to be using a
merchant account its still a good idea to create one just so you’ll be on the
safer side. While your waiting for a merchant account you can use your
PayPal instead.
Step 1: Gather all your information and go on to the PayPal website to
create a new account. This includes your new name, email address, mailing
address, date of birth, password and phone number.
Step 2: Add your bank account and prepaid card to lift your withdraw
limits
Creating your eBay account
Step 1: With the same name, email, mailing address, date of birth,
password, and phone number sign up for a eBay account
Step 2: Follow the account verification process and verify your eBay
account
Step 3: Next, go to notification preferences and check off all notifications
. This means no eBay marketing or phone calls. Be sure to also check off
promotions and surveys so eBay won’t send you unnecessary emails or phone
calls.
Step 4: Link your eBay account to your PayPal. You can do this when you
create a new listing, just type in your PayPal email address and this will link
them together.
Congratulations you’ve created your brand new eBay account!

Setting up an eBay account in another

country
If you live outside the U.S. or want to avoid dealing with the SSN request you
can open an account in another country. Here you’ll learn how to create a
Canadian PayPal or eBay account even if you live in the U.S or if you are
already a Canadian resident.
What are the pros and cons of having an account
outside the U.S. and in another country?
The main and prime benefit of setting up an account in another country is
there is no SSN required. You also use a US or UK bank account and sell on
eBay.com instead of just your national website. The drawback is you still
have to provide your utility bills, proof of ID etc.
Steps to creating your Canadian eBay and PayPal account
1. Create a new user account on your computer to avoid browser cookies
from linking your accounts. It’s usually a good idea to name your user
account the same as your eBay user ID.
2. Obtain a Canadian IP address, you can do this by getting a VPN which
costs around $10 a month (Look at chapter 3)
3. Use a name variation of your OWN name to use on your eBay and PayPal
accounts.
4. To obtain an address go to Superpages.ca and use a Canadian business
address. When your shipping items make sure to use your real address as the
return address.
5. Next step is to acquire a Canadian phone number. Go back to chapter 4 to
get a Canadian number and then forward that number to your home or cell
number.
6. The last step is to get a bank account. You can you a US/UK bank account
on PayPal and refer back to chapter 5 to get a Canadian prepaid card.
Creating your Canadian PayPal account
1. Log on to your new user account and login to your VPN.
2. Gather all your information and go on to the PayPal website to create a
new account. This includes your new name, email address, mailing address,
date of birth, password and phone number etc.
3. Step 2: Add your bank account and prepaid card to lift your withdraw
limits
Creating you Canadian eBay account.
Step 1: With the same name, email, mailing address, date of birth, password,
and phone number sign up for a eBay account
Step 2: Follow the account verification process and verify your eBay account
Step 3: Next, go to notification preferences and check off all notifications .
This means no eBay marketing or phone calls. Be sure to also check off
promotions and surveys so eBay won’t send you unnecessary emails or phone
calls.
Step 4: : Link your eBay account to your PayPal. You can do this when you
create a new listing, just type in your PayPal email address and this will link
them together.
Congratulations you’ve created your new Canadian eBay and PayPal
account!
6. Avoid Being Limited or Suspended Again
Congratulations you’ve accomplished creating an entirely brand new eBay
and PayPal account and your ready to start selling again. But wait, like every
other totally new user you need to act like one too. You have to grow your
accounts until you can start selling at a high rate. If you start selling iPhone
5`s right off the bat and are making $1000 in your first month than eBay or
PayPal will notice, thus increasing your chance of getting suspended. You
need to start slow and build up to a point where you can bring in a
considerable amount of income each month without raising any suspicion to
PayPal or eBay.
Remember that eBay and PayPal think you are a new user who doesn’t know
what there doing. First thing you can do to avoid suspicion from eBay or even
PayPal is to do some searches on the website, browse the help section, look
around at listings, ask some questions. Its not necessary but its defiantly
recommended since it’ll build your history and make you look like a regular
newbie user. As stated earlier eBay drops up to 100 cookies in the first 3
minutes of creating your account monitoring every move you make such as
searches, what advertisements you click , what pages you visit etc.
You also want to wait at least 30 days before you sell your first item. This is
most advised if you’re going to be selling high risk items such as electronics,
jewelery, and brand name items. You want to think like when you made your
first ever eBay account. You probably were a little nervous and didn’t’t know
how to ship, accept payments or how eBay really worked. You also probably
didn’t list a $500 phone or $2000 Gucci bag on your first day. If you can’t
wait the 30 days I’d suggest you at least wait 7 days. If you sell generic or
low risk items you can start selling almost immediately. The safest route to go
would be to list one item per week per account. After your item sells wait a
few days then list your next item as the following week rolls around and so
forth.
If your going to sell more generic items then you don’t need to be stealthy
and this is just to help you from getting limited for reasons such as
"fraudulent" or "high risk activity" etc. If your moving too fast eBay and
PayPal can also limit the number of items you are allowed to sell so until
your account ages just be sure to play it safe. Again your best bet is to blend
in with the crowd and follow all the rules and sell at a good pace. Don’t
attract attention and there won’t be a suspension!
Creating Backup Accounts
The more accounts you have the more items you can sell per week without
posing the risk of any type of suspension or account limitation. Of course you
would need to follow the steps outlined above and create accounts which
won’t be linked. If your inventory is on the larger side you should be
operating at least 2 accounts to increase sales. You should have 3-5 backup
accounts made and just resting in case you ever get suspended. This way your
business won’t take a big blow and you can continue selling without too
much disruption. The longer you wait between listing items the lower the
chance you have of them being taken down.
How to avoid the 21 day hold by PayPal
Awhile back I started a new eBay account and I was selling at a good pace but
soon I got a 21 day hold on all my funds. This meant that after each sale I
would need to wait 21 days before the funds would be released to me. Now
you can sometimes but rarely get your funds made available if you provide a
tracking number and ship in a quick time frame but there’s a way to avoid this
all together. To have this not happen you need a total of 25 positive DSRs
(feedback) and a total of $250 dollars in sales. I would suggest you sell about
20 small and low priced items and then stretch the $250 dollars or so over the
last 5 items. This way you get the $250 in sales within just a couple items
which you can sell with a tracking number and the rest can be just $1 or $2
items which you can mail via first class. Another thing to keep in mind is the
21 day hold seems to stay longer in certain categories that are deemed high
risk than the low risk ones.

Building feedback
It’s a misconception that you need a ton of feedback to make your items sell.
Don’t go out buying a ton of 1 cent eBooks since eBay understands what new
users are trying to do to build quick feedback and its against there policies.
Doing this may lead to a suspension and even building a bad rep. You can sell
or buy tangible items and not digital items for around a dollar a piece. This
way take around $20 and buy things such as baseball cards, stamps, coins, or
even things you might need. If you can’t do any of those I would
recommended you rather SELL instead of buy eBooks or digital pictures to
build your feedback and sell around 1-2 of these a day. Remember its always
better to sell since you need at least 25 sales to dodge the 21 day hold on
PayPal.

Guidelines for selling on eBay and how to

avoid getting suspended again
Remember you’re still vulnerable to make the same mistakes over again so
try not to make history repeat itself. If you’re eBay account is going strong
and you haven’t had any trouble for the first 1-2 months then you are pretty
much in the clear from eBay and PayPal. To them your just another user
who’s recently joined eBay. Keep in mind your a newbie so don’t start acting
like a pro and try to become a power seller right off the bat.
1. Always provide a tracking number . I can’t emphasize how
important this is especially if your selling high priced and high risk
items. If a customer ever decides the package never showed up you
could end up losing money. Charge an extra $5 to your buyer if you
have to but choose a shipping service that provides a tracking
number. You don’t necessarily need to ship with a tracking number
for low priced items but if its around the $50 dollar range and up it’s
a good idea to do so.
2. Don’t use the same words in all your titles . If you have two
accounts make sure to alter the wording in the title for every
account
3. Make your listings different durations and list at different times of
the day . You should try not to list an item then immediately switch
over to another account and list again. Instead list one item in the
morning and the other one at night and have one listing duration 10
days and the other 30.
4. Always leave some money in your account. Never withdraw all the
money out of your account after every sale. If your selling a high
risk and high priced item its okay to withdraw the money but leave
at the minimum $20 - $80 dollars. PayPal will trust you more if you
withdraw your money after you add a tracking number instead of
doing so right after you get the payment. Be sure to do this for your
first few sales.
5. Don’t revise your listings too often because every time you revise
your listing eBay pretty much considers this as creating a new
listing. They may even suspect you of fraudulent activity because
you are constantly changing your listing. Before listing your item
make sure everything’s in place so you don’t have to keep going
back to revise and make changes.
6. Use different shipping services/costs . For example on your first
account you use UPS with $12.99 shipping and on your other
account use USPS or your local post office with a cost of $8.00.
7. If you sell two types of item keep one exclusive to each account. For
example, lets say you sell golf clubs and cell phones. What you want
to do is sell golf clubs on one account and use the other account to
just sell cell phones. You can also separate this up by category if you
sell more than 2 types of items.
8. Switch eBay accounts after each sale of a high risk item. If your
selling high risk items I suggest you wait 5 days after a sale
meanwhile sell on another account and rotate back to your first
account. This will gap our the time frame between your sales and
lower your risk of getting suspended.
Don’t forget that every eBay account you have is a different person in eBay’s
eyes so don’t do the same things on different identities. You want to
individualize every account from another in every way to maximize your
chance of having a long lasting eBay account. Keep in mind to follow eBay
policies and don’t screw up again!
PayPal limits accounts based on risk level
If PayPal perpetuates your account to be “high risk” then they will usually
run an investigation and limit your account either for a short term or
indefinitely. It’s all programmed into their system to weigh the risk. If you list
in high risk categories and your items are associated with high level of fraud
it’s more probable that your account will be limited. In other words the higher
the risk the lower the sales should be and vice versa for low risk items. Hence
this is why I recommend you wait 30 days before listing a high risk item
because eBay believes you’re a new user and are nervous to list a expensive
items. Instead put up a couple of cheap items first and your account will last
longer.
Should you give eBay and PayPal your personal ID
or utility bills?
Lately eBay customer service reps have been trying to obtain personal ID
such as your Licence, Birth certificate etc. They may even request your utility
bills or mortgage records but should you really give that out in order to save
an account? Majority of the time eBay or PayPal won’t reinstate your account
and just want you to provide the information so they can keep it in their
records. If you feel your situation is too bad for PayPal or eBay to
realistically reinstate your account then don’t give out your information.
Overall I wouldn’t advise you to give out photocopies of your personal
identification since its not the government your dealing with, its just a
company. By chance if PayPal or eBay ask you for personal information and
you can’t provide it since your using a stealth account just leave it and start
on another account.
Dealing with PayPal Customer Service
There are four ranks to the PayPal customer service. The first rank are the
reps that just handle minor things like passwords, policies, and assist you with
site etc. The second rank are the eBay or PayPal “specialists”. Now if you’ve
ever called PayPal you’ll first end up talking to a representative that will ask
you your name/information and your problem, then he or she will say “I’m
transferring you to a specialist”. It’s the specialist’s job to get you off the
phone as quick as possible and they usually won’t solve your problem
because they don’t have the “authorization” to do so. In this case, you want to
talk a supervisor since they are the ones who can make changes on your
account, lift your limitation and overall solve your problem. Talking with a
specialist won’t get you anywhere that’s why you need to speak with a
supervisor.

Becoming an eBay Powerseller or Top rated

seller
Okay lets put this into scenario, you have successfully made a new account
and you’ve built up your sales and feedback high enough that eBay is offering
you an invitation to become a Powerseller or Top rated Seller.

Pros and Cons of becoming a eBay Powerseller.

Pros Cons
- You get a certificate
- eBay will suspend

- Depending on your - Using a fake

- Unpaid item

eBay.

Conclusion: Nothing really changes with having a Powerseller status other

then your own sense of pride. You will still get suspended and having a
Powerseller status doesn’t make your account bulletproof. It doesn’t provide
any fee discounts like the Top Rated seller status does and is just extra
attention you don’t need. Not to mention it’s harder to become a power seller
now than before due to eBay raising the minimums sales requirement to
$3000
Pros and Cons of becoming a Top Rated Seller

Pros Cons
- You get a - Using a fake

Final Value Fees - Your account is

Conclusion: If you are offered to join the Top Rated seller program I guess
it’s a more superior option to becoming a power seller considering you get
20% off final value fees. Recently eBay changed their Top Rated seller
requirements to which now you have to offer a 14 day return policy and only
need $1000 in annual revenue. Again it means more exposure but being a Top
rated seller is something more to speculate over just a Powerseller status.

7. Accepting Alternative Payment Methods

Using alternative payment methods or a merchant
account
If you don’t want to use PayPal even if it’s the most preferred way to pay by
buyers you have a couple more options to accept payments. I would
recommend that you sell with PayPal if you are a small seller but that’s up to
you to decide. The benefit to using PayPal is you will probably get more sales
and won’t have to deal with deadbeat bidders who never pay. However this
would only work if you chose the immediate payment option with Buy It
Now style listing. You are also covered by PayPal seller protection and it’s a
lower chance of you getting scammed. The benefits of NOT using PayPal
would be that you don’t get any account limitations and don’t need to deal
with the SSN requirement. Having a limited account might slow down your
selling so below are alternative options and how to sell with a merchant
account.
Why sell with a merchant account?
Selling with a merchant account will require you to put in more effort and
work to acquire and a lot of seller go with PayPal since its easier. First I want
to talk about how a merchant account in case you haven’t sold with one
before. A merchant account is not the same as signing up for a PayPal
account and that’s it. Keep in mind a merchant account is only for you sellers
if you want to keep your account running for a prolonged period of time and
you won’t constantly be able to make new accounts every 6 months or so. I
recommend merchant accounts if you are in the U.S. and have a good number
of sales. Whereas if you are outside the U.S. a merchant account might be a
hassle for you and since PayPal limitations are easier to deal with it’s a better
option that you use PayPal. There are three essential things you need in order
to sell with a merchant account and those are a merchant account, payment
gateway, and a virtual terminal. I will explain in the next section what
alternative payment methods and merchant accounts I recommend. Merchant
accounts involve a process of getting approved by eBay. They will ask you
for your DBA name and SSN to verify
What is an Internet merchant account?
A merchant account is a type of bank account that allows businesses to accept
payments by debit or credit cards. An Internet merchant account is a
merchant account that allows businesses to accept debit or credit card
payments over the Internet.
If you would like to accept credit cards in eBay Checkout, you'll need to have
an Internet merchant account, and an account at one of Checkout's supported
payment gateways. Now you can use third party checkouts such as
Cartmanager but this guide will show you how to obtain a Internet merchant
account, a payment gateway and how to intergrate that within eBay
checkout.
Note: Before opening a new Internet merchant account to accept credit cards
through eBay Checkout, take a look at all payment options. Unless you sell at
high volume, the transaction fees charged by your credit card acquirer
(merchant bank) may be higher than what you'd pay for the other online
payment methods.
There are many merchant accounts out there and it can be hard to find out
which ones to select. A Internet merchant account is like a bank account but it
processes credit and debit cards to you.
What is a Payment Gateway?

A payment gateway lets buyers securely send credit and debit card payments
to your Internet merchant account. eBay Checkout supports a variety of
payment gateways - such as Payflow, Authorize.Net, and CyberSource. The
buyer clicks Pay Now in their email notification or item listing and then
enters their credit card information. eBay Checkout securely transmits the
buyer's credit card information to your Internet merchant account via your
payment gateway, and you're notified of your payment.

Select your Payment Gateway

The three eBay checkout supported payment gateways are Payflow Pro from
PayPal, Authorize.net, and Cybersource. I’d recommend you go with
Authorize.net because it is better off for small to medium time sellers on
eBay.
Signing up for Authorize. Net
Sigining up for Authorize.net is not as easy as it may seems. They will check
your credit score to make sure you don’t have bad credit. You will be asked
to provide you Social security number, bank account, DBA information,
photo ID etc. It also allows you to use most third party shopping carts if you
ever wan’t to leave eBay checkout or sell on your own website.
Select your Internet Merchant account
You can pretty much choose any Internet merchant account as long as the
Payment gateway is supported and accepted by eBay. I recommend you use
Merchant plus.com because they offer an Internet merchant account with the
Authorize.net gateway at a reasonable price. This will make it easier for you
since its all bundled together. Another site that is recommended and has the
same service is E-onlinedata.com. You can check out the sites below

http://www.e-onlinedata.com/Merchant_Services.aspx
http://www.merchantplus.com/signup/
How to fax in your merchant account statement to
eBay
The next step in selling with a merchant account is to fax in your account
statement to eBay. Remember you have to have a REAL Internet merchant
account and not just a payment processor or alternative for you to be
approved to accept credit cards.
Step 1: Create a new listing (You don’t need to list it)
Step 2. Go to ”Decide how you’d like to be paid” > and then “Add or remove
options”
Step 3: Select “Credit cards”
Step 4: Fill in the shipping, price, title etc and click list item
Step 5: Fax your merchant account statement to the number on the screen.
Make sure your eBay name and address on your merchant account statement
matches what you have on your eBay account and also scratch off the tax ID
number. Try not to approve more than one eBay accounts because there are
only a few employees approving accounts and you can end up getting the
same one. Also be sure not to use your home or fax statements for multiple
accounts on the same number so I suggest you go to a Office Max or Staples
to fax in your statement. Oh and be sure to write your eBay ID phone number
and email address on the first page of your statement and make sure this
matches with your eBay account.
You can use http://faxzero.com/ to fax your statements straight from your
computer. The file must be in PDF to be able to fax so use
http://www.freepdfconvert.com/ to convert any file to PDF format.
What if my merchant account statement doesn`t
match up to my new eBay details?

So you're probably wondering, won’t I get suspended if my merchant account

provides my real information but it doesn't match up to my new eBay info
which is phony? What you can do is obtain your merchant statement but then
just replace the wrong information with the right information to make it
match up to your eBay account. Ebay has no way of telling there genuine this
unless they try to verify it with your merchant which is a violation and your
merchant won’t allow it. So that’s how you can use your merchant account
with multiple eBay accounts without them linking. So if you want to use CC
NOW or Google checkout you are going to need to get approved with a real
merchant account statement first. You can always make up a fake one if you’d
like to or stick with PayPal.

Setting up your third party checkout

Now you don’t have to use a third party checkout and can use eBay checkout
but it’s recommended that you do so because then you can automate invoices
right after an item sells and it makes things so much easier.
I will list below a number of shopping carts you can use with eBay.
Cart Manager.com
Cart manager works with most Payment gateways and integrates with eBay
and sends invoices automatically. You want to be able to send auto invoices
so the buyer will pay immediately and you won’t have to deal with non
paying buyers. I suggest you look into these on your own to gain further
information.
Zoovy (Links to eBay – integrated with most payment processors)
Vendio (Links with eBay and other online marketplaces, buyer appreciate is a
nice feature, good for
letting customers know your preferred payment method, Not as friendly)
Mercantec (Integrates with eBay)
Make-a-Store (Integrates with eBay/ checkout buttons / auction management
/ looks good)
Kyozou (Integrates with eBay/ auction management / checkout, Not friendly)
Design Cart (Integrates with eBay)
CoreCommerce (Integrates with eBay / auction management)
AuctionSound (Looks like just an auction lister)
inkFrog (Another lister, Very user friendly, works with multiple eBay
accounts)

Using ProPay.com
If you haven’t heard of ProPay they process all four major credit cards for
eBay Powersellers in a payment service called an eAuction account. If a
merchant account will cut too heavily into your profits and PayPal is just not
an option than this is a good alternative.
Here are a list of benefits it offers eBay sellers
· Full integration with eBay checkout
· No requirement for buyers to have a ProPay account to complete
transactions
· Low rates and fees
· Quick online signup
· Merchant services that are fully PCI DSS compliant
The downside to ProPay is its only available to US residents so if you live
outside the United States you aren’t eligible to apply for their merchant
services. Another aspect of why ProPay’s a trusted service is because its
owned by Wells Fargo Bank which just makes it that much more reliable and
secure.

Pros Cons
- It can be - Only available to
integrated with eBay Powersellers
eBay checkout at this time
- Only costs $5 to - Only available to
open an account US residents
and has low
transaction fees
- Secure credit
card processing
- Owned by Wells
Fargo Bank
- Easy signup

8. Final Words and Email Support

Please keep this strongly in mind when you create your new eBay account.
This book guides you to recover your steps after being suspended from eBay
however it is up to you on how long that account lasts. Remember, you don’t
have unlimited identities and every time you get kicked out its going to get
harder each time to come up with new information. This is why I suggest you
don’t try to screw up with eBay policies, getting linked, and whatever else
that gets you banned. It only gets harder after each suspension since you’re
going to have to keep going through continuous stress to constantly make
new accounts every 6 months or year. It’s defiantly a pain in the butt to have
to keep making new accounts and once you get back on eBay and PayPal I
really hope you try to conserve your account for the longest possible time. If
by chance you do end up getting suspended again and you feel you’ve done
everything you can to try to sustain that account then it’s okay to go on to a
fresh start. Again I also recommended you always have a back up account
ready and leave it resting in case you ever need to immediately start selling if
your main account gets suspended. My advice to you is to follow the eBay
and PayPal user polices/terms of agreement. All in all I will now like to thank
you for reading my book and to request you leave a review.
