were the details you gave us when you signed up. It may change with usage and will become more
accurate with regular readings.
Your payment details

of each month thereafter.

The Direct Debit Guarantee

• If an error is made in the payment of your Direct Debit, by Octopus Energy Ltd or your bank or building society, you are
entitled to a full and immediate refund of the amount paid from your bank or building society. If you receive a refund you
are not entitled to, you must pay it back when Octopus Energy Ltd asks you to.
• You can cancel a Direct Debit at any time by simply contacting your bank or building society. Written confirmation may be
required. Please also notify us.

• What is a kWh?
A kWh stands for a kilowatt-hour – the unit used to measure energy use. 1 kWh will power a
40-watt light bulb for 25 hours.
• What is the Tariff Comparison Rate (TCR)?
TCR is a rate per kWh that allows you to compare your tariff to other tariffs by taking account of
the unit rate and standing charge. It is calculated from national average consumption values. A
TCR does not apply to Economy 7 meters.
