Background of the Study:
This research studies the relationship of self-esteem to selfies of high school and college
students.
Problems and Hypotheses:
The study aims to see whether an individual’s level of self-esteem affects how he/she takes
selfies. In addition, it also aims to see whether age and gender would affect how a person takes selfies.
Specifically, it aims to answer the following questions:
1.) How frequent do people with low self-esteem and high self-esteem take selfies?
Individuals with higher self-esteem are going to take lesser selfies as compared to
            individuals with lower self-esteem.
2.) How would self-esteem in relation to selfies vary in sex?
Males are more likely to view their bodies as instruments of action and derive self-
esteem from self-perceived physical strength. While females gain their self-esteem from how
they look (beauty, body shape, etc.) Furthermore, females take more selfies than males.
3.) How would self-esteem in relation to selfies vary in age?
