posts so I am left with only one article that is covering music reviews about
Khalifa’s albums and mixtapes, his concerts, beefs, media statements and so on.
I am not an affiliate for Taylor Gang apparel or for any other of his ventures.
I made it for fun and not for making money.
I was passionate about that blog and I wrote more than 20 articles.
They did not perform well although my blog appeared on the first page on Google.
My SEO was not on point with those articles because I was not bothering myself
with learning about SEO and I was only writing content tailored for an audience.
2 years later after my first launch of my blog I started to write a lengthy blog post
about Wiz Khalifa and I also covered a performance he made on EXIT festival.
I even took almost the same headline that EXIT festival used on its website.
I was ranked third on first page of Google after exit.org and hip hop wikipedia
article thanks to my piggyback technique of using similar titles for a blog post.
EXIT brought Migos in Serbia in 2018 and my Google rankings dropped.
I also wrote on my domestic language so I could not get more views and although I
put Google Translate widget in a sidebar of my blog I was getting views from all
over the world but not many if we are speaking in terms of quantity.
Blog on English language since this language is the most used all over the world.
Most of the websites and blogs do have an automatic option for translating pages
on a website or a blog but the question is how much those translations are accurate.
Even Google Translate is not translating some of the words on the blogs.
I was passionately writing about trendy topic and artist instead of writing about
evergreen topics and changing direction of how my blog needs to be.
Evergreen topics are not music reviews of the latest artists but topics like
fitness, how to lose fat, cooking,DIY,how to make money online and so on.
3
Gurus are advising you that you just need to start blogging.
Well that is false since my experience thought me how preparations are crucial.
You can spend 3,6,9 or even 12 months just for preparing articles.
Trendy articles on the other side need to be published as soon as possible after
writing but you can see the spikes in your analytics just on the days that they were
published so it is better to develop and stay in evergreen articles lane.
What I advise you is to stop thinking how your passion is going to take you to the
promised land of wealth, health, happiness and love because it will not.
Only things that can take you to the promised land are discipline and know-how.
Not the hard work, not the passion and not a good luck although luck is considered
by many as a crucial factor for succeeding in blogging and in life in general.
If you are prepared enough and if you know how to execute then luck will follow.
Do it classy with blogging but do not forget to do it in your own way.
Probably the most important thing is does your blogging have sense.
Is your audience bying from you and are you making more sales?
Are you responding to the comments and are you listening to the feedback?
For how long do you have your blog?
Are you expecting to earn 1 million dollars in your first year of blogging or are you
shooting for about 100 dollars a month just from AdSense only?
Are you constantly looking at your analytics every single day?
Are you blogging about your hobby or about problem solving topics?
Maybe you are scared to blog since there are so many costs involved.
If you are starting a blog on a free platform like Blogger.com then it might cost
you nothing but your time and same is with most of the free platforms out there.
Some of them have paid pricing plans and upgrades when they notice that you are
4
generating a bunch of traffic and that you are eligible for making sales.
Starting a blog is not a problem but the problem is in not knowing how to start a
blog because you are overwhelmed with gurus, tutorials, tips, tactics and etc.
Also problem is in starting a blog too early without a plan being set beforehand.
Do not think about the goals like you will retire yourself thanks to the blogging.
Most of the bloggers spend years and years just to become eligible for AdSense.
Do you have your own products and are you making sales of them?
Are you making additional sales while being an affiliate marketer?
Do you have systems set in place on how to buy domain name, hosting plan and
maintain and grow your blog and website at the same time?
Do you have online presence, active profiles and audience on Pinterest?
Are people watching your YouTube videos or not?
What do you know about organic on-page SEO?
Do you have cash flow to sustain your elementary living costs?
Do you have enough money to pay for e-mail marketing plans?
Are you working on your website solely or in a team?
Do you have free time to explore the blog topics in depth without pressure?
Everything above and much more needs to be put in one place and sometimes in
one particular order if you are willing to create multiple sources of income.
You will notice how your AdSense and affiliate earnings are slow and small.
You will be tempted to quit and put it all behind you.
I am teaching you how your website, blog,AdSense income and affiliate earnings
need to be additional streams of income to your main source of income.
You need to prioritize a little bit at least in a beginning of your blogging journey.
Ask yourself how much time are you willing to write blog posts a week.
5
How many pins are you ready to put on Pinterest every single day?
How many videos are you willing to shoot and upload to YouTube each week?
Are you thinking about making guest posts on the high scored domains?
Do you know how to spy on your competitors keywords?
Do you think that you need to blow money on expensive keyword tools?
Are you just writing for your audience or do you want to have fully SEO optimized
articles so you could rank higher and even stay on top of the first page of Google?
Are you learning from the previous parts of my affiliate marketing courses?
Do you have 1 or 5 year goals or are you in blogging for life?
Set some time for yourself and answer all of these questions when you are alone.
I want you to develop yourself from a hobbyist or beginner to a full-time blogger.
If you do not want to leave your 9-5 job yet, then fine.
You can still hustle on your blog for a while even if you have a regular job.
Beginners will oftentimes confuse Wordpress.com with Wordpress.org.
Wordpress.com is a website builder and a hosting server.
It has less features and plugins than Wordpress.org.
Wordpress.org is a self hosted server,it can be hosted on a local server (laptop)
and integrated later into domain and hosting plan you purchase.
Wordpress.org has many powerful features, widgets and plugins.
The most interesting part about Wordpress.org is in choosing a template.
You can create beautiful homepages without knowing a single line of a code.
You also have options to customize templates with CSS if you are familiar with
coding but I advise you to hire someone who is an experienced coder if you want
to add more touches to your existing design.
Additional design can make or break user experience on your blog.
6
I personally like to use existing free themes without messing with coding.
Choose a theme which is designed for affiliate reviews for an example.
Before you install a theme check out a version and the last time it was updated.
Also take a look on how many installations does a theme have by far.
Theme needs to be minimal, bright coloured,SEO optimized with a sidebar full of
widgets and a space to put ads whether in header, footer, sidebar or in the posts.
Wordpress can be a little bit exhaustive for most of the beginners because plugins
might clash and hand coding can ruin whole blog.
Wordpress websites have tendency to fail after some time so it is very important to
do regular backups of your Wordpess website.
Backups are easy to do,you need to export xml file of your website and import it
when your website crashes.
Do not use too many plugins, just stick to the most important ones.
The best plugin to help you with SEO is Yoast SEO.
It has more than 5 million installations and it will continue to rise.
Yoast SEO has helped millions of people worldwide with their SEO efforts.
It has 5 star ratings and it is available in 42 languages.
Now you can write content for both visitors and search engine spiders.
Choose a domain name which will help you to transition your content strategy
easily from one topic to another which is better performing but make sure to stay in
the same niche or if you prefer to change your niche entirely then choose a domain
name which is same as your first name and your surname.
You are now making a brand out of your name and some topics will be outdated
over time so the best is to start with one lane and see what works and what does
not work within your niche and slightly change your direction to other topics.
7
Most of the webmasters do not want to delete their old content.
That is why it is useful to choose a domain name and name it after you.
If you are transitioning from affiliate marketing topics to e-commerce or personal
development topics then the best option would be for you to delete your old
content and this is highly recommended to help search engine spiders to
understand what your website is all about and to let them to crawl easier.
Speed up your website by compressing and resizing images.
The more plugins you add to the sidebar the more it will take for your website to
load so be a little bit more tactical while choosing and combining plugins.
Put about statement with a photo of you in the sidebar and add recent posts there.
Place some ads or affiliate banners in the sibebar too but do not overdo it.
Type directly in Wordpress editor and do not type rough draft in Word.
Wordpess does not like text that is copied and pasted from Word to WP editor.
It will mess up your HTML and while you still can do it it’s not recommended.
Save your rough draft in your Wordpress editor as a draft and publish it later.
Follow competitors from your niche to get an idea about content.
Internet is not neccessary about being unique but it is about adding your own twist.
It is a two way street and you will juggle between both after you get used to it.
Use Google Trends to see what is trending when it comes to marketing.
Google Trends is an easy tool to help you for getting your posts viral.
It supports different languages, regions, trends and topics.
The website uses graphs to compare the search volume of different queries.
Do not stick just to Google Trends but also write evergreen blog posts.
8 out of 10 people will read a headline but only 2 out of 10 will click through and
read an article so it is useful to learn more about optimizing your headlines.
8
Use 6-7 words in your blog post titles and use adjectives in your headlines.
Consider using a year in your headline and add some click through spark to it.
The more pages you give to Google the more pages will be indexed.
The title tag does not have to be the same as the blog post title.
Meta description is a place to put about 150 characters underneath a title tag.
Use interlinking to rank your blog posts higher and to help search engine spiders to
crawl better through your website so make sure to use cross-linking as much as
you can by linking within your content to other pages on your website.
Be personal while writing blog posts and share your success
stories, failures, experiences, methods and tactic with your readers.
Your paragraphs should not be more than 6 lines long.
Two to three sentences per paragraph is a good guideline for blog posts.
Use subheadings to help your readers to navigate through your blog post easier.
There should be at least three subheadings within a 500 word article.
Write interlude and a conclusion every time you write a blog post.
Readers read interlude first, conclusion second and body of a text in the end.
Use citings for information that you are gathering from other authors or websites
and link to the original sources, websites or authors.
This will help also authors to understand from where they are getting the backlinks
to their website and it is considered as a good practice in a blogosphere.
If someone is sharing ten ways on how to do certain stuff then you should write at
least thirty ways on how to do to certain stuff.
Put images and other media such as audio, podcasts and videos in your blog posts.
Link not only to your products or services but also link to affiliate offers.
Make case studies with screenshots, reports and testimonials and put them into your
9
blog posts to delight your readers with the proven results that they are getting after
they start to use your products or services.
Write one blog post a week but ideally you shoud write about three times a week.
Your blog can grow over a course of six months or one year.
Show your products or text first on your website to decrease bounce rates.
Bounce rate is the percentage of the visitors to a particular website who navigate
away from the site after viewing only one page which is mostly a landing page.
Do not sell anything on your homepage but give something for free on it.
Homepage needs to be exciting and with the elements separated from each other.
You will get an e-mail from Google Search Console about your homepage.
It is a notification that your clickable elements are too tight between each other.
Make sure that your text size is visible and large enough for readers to read.
Link from a blog post to a page that have contact form in it.
I will reveal you how to write a perfect blog post.
While writing a blog post you should always have sales in mind.
That is a purpose of powerful copywriting but there is more to it.
Create stories in your head and pass them into your blog post.
I talked about importance of having introduction, body of a text and conclusion.
Let’s take multivitamin pills for an example.
I will write in my introductory about the reasons why I started to take them like I
changed my diet because my digestion was not right and I wanted to save money
by bying healthier foods without me being attached to the old style of living as an
overtly sweets consumer and being a junk food afficionado.
Some of the vitamins are not present in the food in the ratio they need to be and so
the pills are neccessary as supplements to a regular healthy diet.
10
Since I begun to eat on a high carb low fat diet I needed to take multivitamin
pills to replace the deficiency of important micronutrients in the regular foods.
In body of a text I will write about the benefits of multivitamin pills such as getting
enough iron per pill plus getting 28 more vitamins via one multivitamin pill a
day and I will write about competitors vitamin pills and their pricing.
I will compare pricing of 90 multivitamin pills to a pricing of 30 vitamin pills.
If competitors vitamin pills consist of combination of iron and vitamin C only and
they cost 8 dollars per 30 pills, potential customers will surely buy a package of 90
mulitivitamin pills which have 29 vitamins per pill and pricing of 15 dollars.
I will also talk about the benefits of beta caroten, vitamin B1,B2,B6,B12 and so on.
After a long body of text I will pitch a package of multivitamin pills in the bottom
of a conclusion and I will outline some discounts and special limited time offers.
That is how you write a perfect blog post with a tendency to sell lucrative products.
Another important thing to mention is how to create effective landing page.
I learnt how to make landing pages without paying for sales funnel softwares.
This means I save about 3600 dollars per year in sales funnel softwares.
I am not dissing sales funnel software companies I just claim how you need to
save money and make profit at the very beginning of your blogging journey.
Some people need 300 dollars a month to survive and cover their bills.
Blogging should not be a privilege for big companies and enterpreneurs only but
also for beginners, freelancers, small businesses and hustlers in general.
You can create a sales funnel on a landing page in Word by simply choosing a font
as Times New Roman and different sizes and alignments of it.
Bold it when needed and use big letters in one word when neccessary.
Add colored background to some of the headers to outline important benefits.
11
Put bullet points to specify what potential buyers might expect from your product.
Put pictures of marketers who are promoting your product.
Put a video in which you are explaining what the product is all about.
Add a picture on top of the page as a logo of your product.
Add pictures as screenshots of testimonials from your presales and positive
responses you are getting in Facebook comments from people who used your
products plus add the links to their video testimonials.
Display social proof if you want to sell more units of your product.
Add a link to your social profiles and your e-mail address at the bottom of a page.
The most important thing is not to sell on a landing page but to talk about the
benefits and hook people up to sign for your free webinar or to download your
checklist or some type of guide for free in exchange for an e-mail address.
You can then sell your product at the end of a webinar or via e-mail follow ups.
What are the costs of starting a successful blog?
I bought domain and 3 year hosting plan from domestic host called Adria Host.
I am overtly satisfied and I learnt a lot from them on how to set up a website.
I am not their affiliate by the way I am just stating about positive
experiences, prices and awesome customer support I was privileged to contact.
They are offering not only domestic but also international .com domains.
Their customer support helped me a lot while doing redirections and fixing errors.
They respond in a span of a couple of minutes and they treat well their customers.
Adria Host has servers based in Amsterdam,Netherlands and support team is based
in Belgrade,Serbia but the whole business is internationally recognized.
I bought a 3 year hosting plan at a discounted price of 195 dollars.
I also bought two domains one after another at a price of 10 dollars a year each.
12
If you add monthly payments for internet connection from Telenor internet
provider which are about 13 dollars a month, you are paying about 230 dollars a
year for blog costs including domain name, hosting plan and an internet connection.
I do not run my blogs with paid e-mail service providers.
I made most of my websites and blogs for practicing purposes and my e-mail lists
were not that big so I stay away for paying e-mail service providers upfront.
I am making most of my sales through freelancing gig and not through e-mails.
However,if I want to change direction of my blogs from experimentation projects
to full-time paid projects and grow my mailing lists bigger I would still send my e-
mails from a cPanel instead of paying for e-mail service providers.
That way I am saving costs for e-mail providers and I am sending e-mails from my
own host precisely from cPanel and webmail software such as Roundcube.
Many great e-mail service providers such as MailChimp have their own free plans
but I did not have a need to send e-mail blasts via MailChimp yet.
Premium plans with MailChimp can go up to $300 a month so you are saving
$3600 per year in costs planned for e-mail service providers.
They do have a free plan for up to 2000 e-mail subcribers but you can have
exponential growth with subscribers at any point which does not mean your
blogging income will have neccessary exponential growth too at the same time.
I am teaching multiple sources of income and diversification so you could feel free
at some point to invest in the expensive e-mail service providers, sales funnel
softwares, designers, social media managers, virtual assistants and so on.
If I grow my blog and I start to generate most of my income from blogging
then I would consider paying a MailChimp for creating e-mail newsletters.
I am adding unsubscribe links to the bottom of e-mails manually which are
13
redirecting to the unsubscribe page with a message such as sorry to see you go.
I am using free Wordpress plugins for capturing e-mail addresses from visitors.
Plugins oftentimes offer notifications to the subscribers about the new blog posts
when they get published so they act as a some sort of the newsletter plugins too.
Costs of running a blog are always bigger than planned but they are about $250
a year if we consider elementary services such as domain, hosting and internet
connection but we exclude e-mail service providers, sales funnel softwares, etc.
Of course,I always recommend investing most of the money you generate from
sales back to your blog gradually and tactically month by month.
At this point you are bootstrapping your business from head to toe.
You decide are you going to pay yourself first or are you going to invest back in
your blog by starting LLC and putting additional investments but whatever
you choose do not forget to make it good and unforgettable.
14
on their websites as an example of how to purchase tangible products online.
Versace orders are shipped in a neutral box to protect shipment from robbery.
Versace bags, clothes, shoes and accessories can be find in retail stores too.
These type of companies are here for decades and we trust them.
Coca Cola has water in its beverage portfolio besides fuzzy drinks.
Oreo biscuits are still one of the bestselling sweets on the market.
Consumers know what to expect when it comes to tangible products.
One picture tells a thousand words and these brands dominate with marketing
messages on the markets via television, internet, radio, billboards and so on.
Stay-at-home moms now have an opportunity to earn few extra bucks by making
and selling their own jewelry and bracelets.
Artists are able to express themselves through their art and exclusive offers.
You can find and shop vintage items such as sunglasses, rugs, healing stones,
jeans, scarves, fruit harvest boxes ,fine art ceramics, rings, earrings, etc.
As a freelancer I noticed a lot of requests from clients about making and setting up
an online store, doing e-commerce SEO,copywriting and so on.
Intangible products are opposite from tangible products.
We can read and see them but we can not touch, smell, wear or taste them.
Intangible products are e-books,websites,movies,music and publications in a form
of dowloadable files or streaming services, social media websites, online
games,digital photographs,graphic designs,mobile apps,cloud storage services,etc.
What we see is not usually what we get when it comes to intangible products.
Beautifully designed cover of an e-book does not necessary means that e-book will
be exciting as well and that an e-book is promising content stated on its cover.
My e-books are examples of knowledge brokerage and they are intangible
15
products which means they can not be sold via physical copies such as cd’s.
They are also not made to be sold in traditional book stores.
You are privileged to learn from digital goods rather than the paper copies.
Wherever you go you can take these e-books with you and read them on your
mobile, laptop, desktop computers or whatever devices you are using.
I used to have a website dedicated to a fat loss for females and I offered on my
landing page " Lifetime lean healthy diet plan for females " e-book ready to be
purchased for $10 with a simple click on a PayPal button.
After buyers complete their purchase they will be redirected to a link to the
downloadable e-book hosted on a Google Drive.
That e-book was not a success in terms of sales, branding and idea but I learnt how
to market intangible products better, what works online and what does not work.
I also used to have a fashion blog where I embedded a free basic guide to pocket
squares that I used to create while I was in between the jobs sending cv’s.
I got some likes on social media but not many visitors to my fashion blog.
It was back in the days when I used to be a fresh graduate out of a college.
Let’s compare pros and cons of tangible and intangible products.
Pros of tangible products is that they are made for massive consumption.
Tangible products are what you see is what you get products.
You can feel them with all of your senses and get satisfied thanks to them.
You are used to them or you will get used to them.
Once you purchase a tangible product you will likely to become a returning
customer since tangible products have powerful marketing behind them.
They are easy to order via online stores and e-commerce websites
and some of them can be delivered to your doors in a matter of minutes.
16
Cons of tangible products is that most of them are expensive to produce
and they need to be produced in enormously large quantities just to bring profit.
Additional taxes, shippings and packages are some of the cons too.
For some of the products there is a timeline of waiting about 2 weeks just to get a
product delivered to your house if you ordered from a foreign country.
Some of the foreign countries are not eligible to be shipped to.
Competition is overtly big when it comes to tangible products.
Ad spend and budget in large numbers are required for branding purposes.
Pros of intangible products are lower production costs.
They are available to everyone who have internet connection.
They do not need to be produced or sold in large quantities.
They can be sold as high ticket offers and products.
They can be offered for a free download which leads to upsells.
Buyers can learn from intangible products which save their time and money.
There is a more personal bound between sellers and customers than with tangibles.
Intangible products are good starting point for making some initial capital.
Intangible products require much time to be produced as one of the cons.
Another con is that good design might prevail over the content.
Markets for intangible products are saturated with gurus and false promises.
Intangible products also might be underpriced or overpriced at the times.
There are bigger chances of getting in a territory of stolen ideas and concepts
since intangible products are full of shameless copy and paste strategies.
Bigger time is needed for choosing or making a platform for selling intangible
products and creators of intangibles need to learn how to sell on their own mostly.
Building an audience for selling intangible products is also required.
17
Now let’s compare products to services.
Selling products is far more lucrative than selling services.
We have a situation where lawyers are overshadowed by wealthy infopreneurs.
Offering services can not lead you to multimillion profits because you can not
offer as many services in big volumes as you can with products.
You need to work more when selling services instead when selling products.
Services oftentimes do not have their prices stated on the websites.
One bad service you provide can ruin hundred of good services that you gave.
You need oftentimes a college degree just to be able to sell services.
Infoproducts are by far the best intangible products which can be sold.
They are my favorite because they give me a room for creativity.
While you are reading this you are noticing how my e-books are different than the
other e-books on a market plus you are learning while reading my e-books.
I talked about importance of creating and selling your own product in my Affiliate
Marketing 2.0 course so use that course sparingly with this blogging course.
Affiliates are effective only if they are supplied with proper advertorials.
Product creators or vendors should supply their affiliates with affiliate links,
about the product’s article,about the product’s creator article,interview with
product’s creator article,customer demographics data,banners,product images,
e-mail swipes,press releases,pre-sell content,articles,keywords,free e-
books, landing pages, thank you page graphic and similar.
Use only your original landing page and e-mail templates, not the vendor’s.
18
The best product creators share earnings not just on initial sales but also
on upsells with their most successful affiliate marketers.
There is also a possibility to earn commissions just for sending large amounts of
traffic to the landing page and/or e-mail sign up form on the vendor’s website.
Affiliate commissions are most of the times either one time or monthly recurring.
One time affiliate commissions are between 15 to 75 percent of product’s price.
The most generous vendors offer 100 percent commissions from sales.
Typical example of monthly recurring commissions is when you are an affiliate for
SaaS products that are billed on a monthly basis when user purchase them.
Problem is when users are not satisfied with SaaS products anymore and they
cancel their subscriptions to these type of softwares because you are losing your
monthly recurring commissions along the way in those situations.
Stable income is not possible with affiliate marketing offers and sales.
Refunds are something that naturally happens all the time with affiliate sales.
Even 30 or 60 days money back guarantees can’t stop the refunds.
Knowing this, affiliate marketing is not a good place to start with growing your
blog but all of the advertorials you get from the vendors are adding another
dimension to your website by making it more engaging, colorful and interesting.
The best niches to start with affiliate marketing are health and fitness and/or
online marketing or how to make money online niches.
I noticed that affiliate newbies are offering 10 different products when they are
making affiliate website and blog in a health and fitness niche.
They start to write reviews on their blogs related to yoga, pilates, detox, recipes,
aerobic, diets and high intensity interval training at the same time.
Much more sustainable way of blogging is to choose one sub-niche in a health and
19
fitness niche such as yoga and write reviews only about different yoga products
such as yoga fitness system for women, yoga core challenge, yoga ultimate body
challenge, yoga for meditation, yoga meal plans and cookbooks, etc.
You will spend some time in copywriting and try to rely less on the advertorials.
Use advertorials only when needed or put them in your e-mail blasts sometimes.
You can even use the testimonials from the vendor’s landing page and website if
he allows you to do it but put it seamlessly in your own landing page.
Some of the vendors do not allow you to use before and after photos from their
websites and to put them on your website.
Never sell affiliate products directly on your landing page.
You should send the visitors of your website from your landing page to your
bridge page but avoid selling on a bridge page too.
Bridge page is a page between your landing page and your vendor’s page.
Final page is a vendor’s landing page or his sales page in this case.
Vendor’s landing pages do have a pictures of the products but without prices stated
yet, there are most of the times learn more buttons below a picture of each product
that lead to the vendor’s sales page with a VSL,review and prices at the bottom.
Vendors combine their bridge pages with their sales pages oftentimes.
I love to write thorough reviews on a bridge page and to put a link below a review
video that is sending visitors directly to the vendor’s sales page.
If you want to save some time on your side you do not need to make a review
video if you do not want to but you can instead copy and paste a video link
from a sales page to your bridge page and that video link should have a picture of a
first second of a video and a play button across it plus a link to a sales page below
a video but the video can not be still opened on your bridge page.
20
This is good since a purpose of that copied video link is to send visitors to the sales
page which contains aforementioned video available for a streaming.
These types of videos are known as video sales letters and they start with
describing a problem in the beginning of a video, solution which is a current
product by the way in the middle and a special offer or a discount in the end of a
video as a typical concept of the sales persuasion techniques via video format.
If you still want to shoot your own video product review then do it but do not
mention the prices or discounts in the video yet.
Send the viewers of your video to a sales page via link in your video or below it.
Most of the YouTubers and bloggers put a discount code below a video.
Do not forget to put affiliate disclosure on your website, your post or in your video.
Membership sites are another way of diversifying your overall blogging income.
Membership site is a type of website where users pay to get an access to specific
content or area of a website that are restricted or hidden until users pay to
become members in order to get these specific features, products and services.
Hidden or restricted areas oftentimes contain blog posts, community, group
coaching sessions, consulting, tutorial videos, modules and so on.
Users can unlock hidden features or content with a simple payment.
Users can pay on monthly, weekly, daily or yearly basis.
There is sometimes a free trial offered to access some of a hidden content.
Users can become members forever if you set a lifetime plan for them to buy.
Membership sites provide bloggers with a stable monthly recurring income
if a monthly plan is purchased by the users and each month bloggers know what
to expect in terms of how much income they will get thanks to the active members.
There is a feel of exclusivity when becoming a member of a particular site.
21
The feel is great like you are entering a whole new world.
You are able to communicate with other members and to become active in forum
threads, maybe even to position yourself as an expert in certain topics.
You have access to a website owner and a possibility to schedule a call with him.
Bloggers need to create fresh content each month for their membership sites.
This is a lot of hustle because they do not have enough time to work on user
acquisition via Pinterest or YouTube or to put regular affiliate reviews out.
E-mail marketing is also neglected because of work on the membership sites.
It is easy to set up membership site but it requires a lot of maintenance.
You will get overwhelmed at some point thinking about how should you bill your
members and did you choose a perfect Wordpress plugin for your membership site.
Maintaining membership site stops you from freelancing, creating and selling your
own products, becoming a vendor, making your own affiliate network and tracking
the performances of your affiliates because membership sites require much work.
You also need to set your time aside for scheduled phone or video calls.
I do not prefer running a membership site because of the cons it has.
I did not have a membership site but I used to run a forum built with bbPress.
I deleted my forum website because I could not handle big amounts of spam.
22
receiving a salary and a percentage of the sales of the products depending on type
of an industry he is positioned in.
Consultants can be found in various of industires and they can be known as
management consultants,sales consultants,marriage consultants,tax consultants,etc.
Example of an industry where sales consultants work is consumer goods industry.
I used to work as a sales consultant in an international company for a brief period
of time but for enough time to learn how middle management is hierarchically
structured, how to make direct and telephone sales, how to persuade potential
customers into buying, how to solve a problem by selling specific product, etc.
Consultant needs to be organized, creative, analytical, team player, communicative,
flexible and everything else that modern HR’s are looking for.
Consulting is a stressful job no matter how fancy it sounds.
People are working more than 9-5 just to get enough buyers needed to fulfill
their monthly sales targets because if a sales consultant does not fulfill or exceed
monthly sales targets he will be cut for a base salary and he will just work for a
percentage of sales of the products.
As a sales consultant you are working more for a company than for yourself.
People sooner or later want to escape from their 9-5 or to be more precise from
their 9-23 and to stop working as the company’s consultants.
Some of them switch to working as consultants for the individuals only via the
blogs but most of them are trying to reposition as coaches in the marketplace.
Coach is an individual who works directly with trainee in order to help him to
achieve certain goal, mission, result or even to train him on how to get better job.
Coaches do have same traits as consultants but they separate themselves from
consultants because coaches are selling their teachings as the services.
23
Coaching requires ongoing meetings with a client or a trainee.
Coaching builds more longer term and deeper relationship with clients and trainees
than consulting is doing with its own clients and buyers.
While consultants may take a phone call on every 3 months or so with their clients
just to check out how they are but with hidden motives to sell another product or a
service, coaches are present in trainee’s life on a weekly or daily basis.
Coaches are here to find out about your goals,to help you to achieve them and to
push you above the boundaries and limitations that you have set for yourself.
Coaches are offering different perspective and methods in achieving the results.
Effective coaching takes more responsibilty than consulting because if something
is not working properly with the product that is being sold then consultant will
blame it on the product and not on his unprepared presentation or shalowness.
On the other side successful coach has a coachable trainee who listens to his coach.
You can not achieve better physique if you are not doing as many reps or intervals
that your coach is recommending you to do and/or if you do not switch your diet.
Coaching is more popular than ever and we need more coaches than consultants.
There are coaching platforms on the internet with coaches from various expertises
such as relationship coaches,life coaches,business coaches,fitness coaches,etc.
They worth every buck although they might appear pricey for regular people.
Coaches can also boost their blogging income by taking phone calls with their
trainees and charging $1000 for a one hour call that is scheduled by a trainee.
Mentor is an individual who guides his mentee on how to replicate his success.
Mentor has proper systems in place set from A to the Z that are easy to
understand but it is a very unpredictable job because mentor can not predict will
his mentee be dedicated and persistent during a mentorship.
24
Mentors have both traits from coaches and consultants but they are willing to work
on even longer terms than coaches and consultants do with their clients.
Mentoring is a sought after skill and it is not offered transparently on the blogs.
Mentor does not offer his skills but they are hired from selected mentees who are
reaching out to a mentor first with a proposal on being his mentees.
Mentoring is a lucrative business but oftentimes some successful individuals refuse
to be mentors because they do not know how serious mentees will be.
I can’t mentor you on how to make big enterprise if I did not make a big enterprise.
Mentor is on a higher level of success than his mentee is.
You need evident social proofs, case studies, recognition and reports about your
success if you want to be hired as a mentor by a mentee.
The biggest success stories out there are not made unintentionally or accidentally.
Dr. Dre was mentored by Jimmy Iovine,Eminem was mentored by Dr. Dre and 50
Cent was mentored by Eminem which is a perfect example of a mentoring spiral.
Mentors are motivated to build and sustain an existing empire by making more
mentors and keeping it as an exclusive closed circle of the chosen few.
Mentees sometimes become more successful than their mentors.
This is a common situation in a modern business world where one mentee is
guided from various mentors who have different levels of success and recognition.
Such mentees have each mentor for each different business.
The most successful people on planet have been mentored by someone.
Freelancer is an individual who is labeled as self-employed or an independent
contractor hired by other individual or sometimes an agency who are interested in
his services by paying him certain amount of money without giving him a
salary, full time job or a permanent position in an agency.
25
I am getting most of my income through freelancing and not with an affiliate
marketing because freelancing is more sustainable if it is set properly.
This is how I started with freelancing.
I used to be rejected on Upwork with a generic e-mail response how many profiles
look just like mine and how they are getting too many requests on opening a
profile on their platform something like 10000 requests a day.
I was dissapointed and then I decided to leave it all behind and soon after I become
a legal intern during my summer internship I realized how hard and unsustainable
is to be a lawyer in my country and that I need to deal with many costs upfront if I
want to pass bar exam in order to open my own law office.
Two months after my legal summer internship I left bar association.
A couple of weeks later I get an e-mail with experiences of domestic freelancers
about different freelancing platforms, their success stories and failures.
I opened an account on Fiverr because one of the freelancers mentioned how she
was rejected on Upwork with the same excuse that I ran through when I applied for
being a freelancer on Upwork and how she is using Fiverr for a writing side hustle.
Diversify your income by selling your infoproducts on freelancing platforms
because infoproducts are going to be your number one source of online income.
I am selling infoproducts on a freelancing platform instead of offering services.
I used to write marketing strategies but inforpoducts are more scalable.
Freelancing platform is a perfect place to sell the infoproducts such as courses.
I recommend Fiverr as a good platform for freelancing.
You can price your products with various prices there.
You can also work with clients from all around the world.

Influencer marketing
28
e-mail subscribers then you need to quit what you are doing.
Brands can find out more about your expertise, pricings, media profiles,
e-mail address and other contact info in a media kit on your website.
Media kit is a downloadable summary in a form of a short report.
It is considered as some sort of online CV for bloggers and their websites.
Do not forget to put Google Analytics data and user demographics in it in case
the brands want to know who do you target with influencer campaigns.
If you do not want to create a media kit then make an advertise page on your blog.
Advertise page should contain same data you would put in media kit but with more
content to make it convincing for brands to put cash for your influencer campaigns.
Ideally, media kit should be a summary of your advertise page.
Try to do both to appear more professional in a blogging ecosystem.
Brands will choose to work with you if there is some pre-selection made.
They already want to work with someone who is recognizable in specific niche.
Are you doing guest posts and are you featured as a guest in podcasts?
Are you making presentations in online summits and are you attending events?
Are you doing joint webinars with bloggers similar to your niche?
Do you have unpaid reviews about products and services on your blog too?
Guest posts should have do follow links in them which lead to your blog.
Do follow give link juice to your blog if they are coming from well scored blog.
Try to talk about your own products as a guest in podcast series.
Make video presentations as a presenter in online summit and get more exposure.
Use other presenter’s audiences who are similar to your audience.
Attend offline events related to the topics from your niche and network more.
Do the joint webinars with bloggers who are not your direct competitors.
29
Write reviews about the products or services even when you are not paid to do so.
Write about the products or services that you are actually using.
This does not mean that your blog should be filled with reviews only.
Write more tutorials, how to and general evergreen articles besides reviews.
You need to have bigger online presence if you want to attract brands.
Although you can contact brands let them reach out to you first.
If you still want to do e-mail outreach to the brands first you can do it.
Put some practice into writing e-mail outreach messages.
E-mail messages can make or break your further contacts with a brand.
Introduce yourself first in the beginning of an e-mail message.
Explain what do you do and why do you do it.
Write about why you think you should be writing a review or doing a promotion.
Write about your achievements, results and pull of some data from Google
Analytics to let them know more about demographics, scalability and followings.
Praise sponsors a little bit about their products but do not overdo it.
Tell them that you would like to learn more about the new products or services.
Note what you offer as goals, execution plan and desired results.
State what you expect in return for writing a review or doing a promotion.
Basically, you should charge about $250 for writing a review if you are still on a
micro influencer level but you can charge more if you have bigger followings.
Some of the influencers do not charge at all for doing promotions.
All they want in return is to get the product, service or a gift from the sponsors.
If you think that you have some bigger grammar or spelling errors then try to better
English, writings or try to make more sponsored videos instead.
Spelling is something you can fix easily while writing an e-mail message.
30
Take away pressure in outro from both sides.
Google AdSense
31
Responsive ads fit very well into the responsive Wordpress themes.
Ads can be placed above the fold or below the fold.
Above the fold is a place to put an ad so it can be visible to website visitors
without a need for them to scroll down the page of a website.
Below the fold is a place to put an ad right next to the content and it can be visible
to visitors only if they scroll down the page of a website.
Visitors most likely give bigger attention to the ads below the fold.
Auto Ads place ads where they will perform the best on your website.
Vertical ad units perform better than horizontal ad units.
You can include or exclude ads on the particular pages.
You can also block ads if your audience belongs to sensitive category of people.
This means less revenue for you but you must respect the AdSense policies.
The most important metrics to look out for in AdSense are
impressions,CPC,CPM,RPM,CPE,active view CPM and CTR.
Impression is a metric that counts each time your ad appears to the visitors.
It is oftentimes confused with the page views.
Page views are metric that show how many times a page is viewed by visitors
regardless the number of ads placed on a page and the number of ad impressions.
If a page is viewed once but it has two ad units, it is still counted as one page view.
CPM or cost per mile is a metric that shows how much advertisers need to pay
when they want their ads to appear thousand times in an ad campaign.
CPC or cost per click is a cost that advertiser pays each time a user clicks on an ad.
RPM or revenue per mile is calculated as revenue per thousand impressions.
This includes all of the impressions regardless of their size, placements or ad units.
CPE or cost per engagement is a metric that shows how much it costs for advertiser
32
each time a user is engaged with an ad beyond just clicking on an ad.
Active view CPM shows when advertiser pays for 1000 viewable impressions.
Impression is viewable in this case only when at least 50 percent of an ad is
displayed on screen for at least one second.
CTR or click through rate is calculated as click divided by the number of
impressions, views or queries multiplied by 100 percent.
Focus mostly on CPC,CPM and CTR in your reports and analytics.
Try placing ads near the content that your visitors are mostly engaged with.
Avoid placing ads too tight right next to the content and avoid accidental clicks.
Avoid misleading labels and headings such as resources and related links.
Avoid placing ads in the locations where they might be confused with
menu,navigation or download links.
Drop down menus or expandable features should not cover an ad.
Google AdSense policies as usual.
Back in the days it used to be easy to make money with an AdSense.
Marketers used to outsource content writers for cheap and they put such content in
the niche websites in order to stay competitive in Google’s search results.
This way marketers were in the spotlight all time and they used to make more
money with AdSense than they invested in outsourced writing services.
Anyone with a good writing skills and with a basic knowledge about the given
topic could have articles predetermined for success in Google’s search results.
These days the medic update stops people who do not have authority on certain
topic from ranking really well in Google.
This does not only relate to giving medical advice but also giving advice in areas
such as law, finance, retirement, insurance and so on if you are not qualified to do it.
33
Google now looks for both on-page and off-page ranking factors to decide whether
or not he will put you in a first page of the search results.
Your expertise might be under attack more than it used to be before an update.
Do not write about stuff you do not know about and try to write by yourself.
You will need to pay more for outsourcing professionals than you used to pay back
in the days when marketers were using freelancers to write stuff on their blogs.
Many people are going to suffer and lose money because of this update.
I as a marketer can’t write about insurance because I am not qualified to do that.
Let’s weigh in on pros and cons about Google AdSense.
Google AdSense is perfect for websites with enormous flood of traffic such as
websites with guest bloggers who are experts in their niche or for websites with
free tools that have been used by millions of people on a daily basis.
Google AdSense does not do much for smaller bloggers on the other side.
Google can easily shut down your account and you can lose your revenue stream.
That is why I am talking so much about importance of income diversification.
Google AdSense is the probably the last thing you should do when starting out.
You need to put content out all the time if you want AdSense to work.
You need to be in the first page of Google all the time which is kind of exhausting.
Ads of your competitors might appear in your ad space through targeting.
Competitors are using your audience just to turn it into their audience.
Experts who are writing about yoga exercises have success with ads of yoga mats.
AdSense websites do look more professional than the websites without ads.
AdSense revenue is not consistent or sustainable for small bloggers.
My advice is to find experts who are willing to be guest bloggers on your website.
You can give them certain roles with an access to your Wordpress text editor.
34
They can save you a lot of time planned for writing new content.
AdSense guidelines and policies can be easily broken even if you do not want it.
You are now limited with posting affiliate links in the posts because of AdSense.
Exclude AdSense ads on pages where you are promoting affiliate offers.
YouTube AdSense is a little bit more popular than standard Google AdSense.
Conclusion
35
It will stay like that in the years to come because I love to work with my clients.
If you are freelancer utilize chat and try to be online as much as you can.
No matter what you decide to do always strive for getting positive reviews.
Focus on one or two sources of online income if you are just starting out.
If you are getting enough success with them you can decide freely do you want to
stick to those sources of online income or do you want to add additional sources of
online income to your overall online portfolio.
Diversification is a must because changes are unpredictable but always expected.
Try to blog in English language because it is the most used language in the world.
You can set up Google Translate widget on your blog but the question is how
much it is reliable because even this tool sometimes makes mistakes.
Pages on your blog can be translated from your domestic language to English.
Evergreen topics like health, fitness,DIY,make money online and similar
perform better than trendy articles and rank longer on the first page of Google.
This does not mean you should totally shy away from writing trendy articles but
keep in mind that the evergreen articles should make most of your blog’s content.
Hard work and passion are not going to take you to desired blogging heights.
Disciplined work and focus on a particular moment or a subject will outperform
all of the hard working and passionate bloggers out there in your space.
Key is to do less and achieve more with your blogging activities.
Put systems in place before starting out a blog or a website.
Calculate your elementary costs of living and look at your weak and strong areas.
Make sure you have enough time to interact with your audience.
Also make sure to build audience because bigger audience means more money.
Be in position of making online sales so you can invest that money in your blog.
36
Set up a plan on how many times per week are you able to blog, pin or shoot
YouTube videos but do not promise what you could not deliver.
Do not make it hard on yourself and remember that you are here for a long run.
You can stay on your 9 to 5 or leave it to go all in with your blogging.
You can juggle both without pressure if you are well organized.
I rejected a sales position in a big software company so I could finish creating
all of the courses from a complete called The Ultimate Guide to the Next
Generation of Affiliate Marketers.
I liked the terms and a remote position that was offered to me but I decided to keep
with freelancing because I do believe I can provide much value to my buyers.
Wordpress.org offers more features and plugins than Wordpress.com so make sure
you write and plan your content in Wordpess.org and integrate it in your blog later.
Choose free templates with a design related to your affiliate marketing blog.
Plugins might clash between themselves so use only necessary ones.
You can customize templates with CSS but leave that job to experienced coders.
Use Yoast SEO plugin to help you with your search engine optimization efforts.
Do the backups of your blog in .xml file because Wordpress sites sometimes fail.
Name your website after you because this way you can easily transition from one
niche to another or to transition to another sub-niche by staying in same niche.
Delete old content so the Google’s spiders can crawl easier through your blog.
Speed up your website and put less plugins in a sidebar of your blog.
Type directly in Wordpress text editor and save a rough draft before publishing.
Do not copy and paste from Word to WP text editor because it will ruin HTML.
Follow competitors but never get away from your style of writing.
Check out Google Trends to get inspired about trendy topics.
37
Getting readers to your article whether via Google’s search engine or via social
media channels is a numbers game because 8 out of 10 people will read a headline
but only 2 out of 10 will click through and read an article.
6-7 words in your blog post titles are decent amount of words in your headlines.
Update your old content and add a current or next year in a title to boost CTR.
The more pages you give to Google the more food for Google’s spiders.
Utilize meta description as underrated place for improving your SEO.
Use interlinking or crosslinking to link content within your website to each other
and to get bigger rankings in Google’s search engine.
Write honest articles without prejudices and admit your failures in them plus
outline success stories anytime you had a chance to shine.
Do not write paragraphs longer than 6 lines.
Two to three sentences per paragraph are visually enough for your readers.
Subheadings will help your readers to scroll down faster through your post.
Three subheadings within a 500 word article are bare minimum.
Do not skip putting interlude and a conclusion every time you write a blog post.
Readers read interlude first, conclusion second and body of a text in the end.
Cite an information that you are gathering from other authors or websites
and link to the original sources, websites or authors.
Now authors know from where they are getting the backlinks
to their website and this is a good ranking signal according to Google’s criterias.
Outrank articles about ten ways on how to do something with your articles about
at least thirty or forty ways on how to do something.
Make your blog media rich with audios, podcasts and videos in your blog posts.
Link to your products, services and to affiliate offers if you are promoting them.
38
Put case studies with screenshots, reports and testimonials in your posts to convince
your readers with the positive outcome of using your products or services.
You should write between one to three blog posts a week.
Six months or one year are minimum needed to grow your blog quick.
Decrease bounce rates on your website by showing your text first.
Bounce rate is the percentage of the visitors to a particular website who navigate
away from the site after viewing only one page which is mostly a landing page.
Your homepage is intended for giveaways and not for sales.
Let us remind ourselves on how to write a perfect blog post.
Never miss the sales as your purpose while writing.
However sales are not only measurement of powerful copywriting.
Incorporate storytelling besides complying to standard SEO requirements.
Structure your blog posts with introduction, body of a text and conclusion.
This is how I am writing blog posts about multivitamin pills.
I will put in my introductory the reasons why I started to take them like
explaining my iron deficiency, importance of improving my stool, not having proper
micronutrients in my diet because I was attached to unhealthy processed foods and
burning desire to fill my diet with missing minerals and vitamins.
Recommended daily intake of iron for males is about 20 miligrams a day but I was
taking only about 8 miligrams of iron a day.
I did not bother myself with counting daily iron intake and that is probably one of
the reasons why my bench press got weaker in a period of a single month.
In body of a text I will write about how to achieve required daily intake of iron
with adding multivitamin pills as a proper suplementation and I will write about
variety of vitamins one pill has to offer, amount of iron per one pill, etc.
39
I will compare different multivitamin pills packages to competitors packages.
Mutivitamin pills that I use are surely better bang for a buck because competitor’s
multivitamin pills most of the times have only 2 ingredients in them like iron and
vitamin C but multivitamin pills that I use have more than 29 vitamins.
I will talk about beta caroten,magnesium,calcium,zinc,vitamin C,etc.
I will write thorough body of text and then I will pitch a package of multivitamin
pills in the bottom of a conclusion with discounts and special limited time offers.
That is how you should write a perfect money making blog post.
Special attention needs to be given for creation of an effective landing page.
I am creating landing pages without spending dollars for sales funnel softwares.
You can save about 3600 dollars per year in sales funnel softwares.
Beginnings with online marketing are very sensitive so it is highly recommended
to make more profit and save some money along the way too.
Monthly subscription fee for an average sales funnel software is in a range of
elementary costs of living per month for most of the people out there.
Blogging is good because it’s not a prerogative of companies and enterpreneurs
only but it’s also beginner, freelancer, small business and hustler friendly.
Create a top selling sales funnel on a landing page in Word by choosing the most
used font as Times New Roman and different sizes and alignments of it.
Bold the words when making some important claims or points in a copy.
Some of the headers should have colored background.
Put all the important characteristics of the products in the bullet points.
Add pictures of marketers who are promoting your products or services.
Talk about your product in a video.
Top of your landing page is reserved for a logo of your product.
40
Do not forget about adding pictures and screenshots of testimonials from the
presales and add links to video testimonials of people who used your product.
Embed your most successful tweets with positive replies from your customers.
You need to provide some social proof if you want to make more sales.
Put a link to your social profiles and your e-mail address at the bottom of a page.
Do not sell on a landing page but talk about the product and motivate people to
sign up for your free webinar or to download your freebie in exchange for an e-
mail address and then after that sell at the end of your webinar or in a newsletter.
You need to invest about 230 dollars a year for blog costs including domain
name, hosting plan and an internet connection just to get by with your blog.
I excluded costs planned for paid e-mail service providers, sales funnel
softwares,whole bunch of programmers,designers,social media managers,etc.
I am teaching diversification so you could feel financially confident to invest
the money you earned from blogging back into your blog.
Savvy way for sending e-mails is to send them for free via cPanel.
Use free e-mail software such as Roundcube for a very fresh start.
Capture e-mails for free with easy to use Wordpress plugins.
Creating and selling your own products is surely the most important source of
online income that I am teaching in my courses.
Differ tangible products from intangible products.
We can smell, touch, see, taste or wear tangible products.
Example of tangible products are wardrobe, perfumes, video devices, etc.
Intangible products are meant to be read and to be seen.
We can not touch, smell, wear or taste them but we can interact with them.
Typical examples are downloadable files, social media websites,e-books,etc.
41
You are now interacting with an intangible product while reading this course.
Tangible products are good because we can get used to them easily.
They oftentimes have powerful branding behind them.
On the other side, tangible products are expensive to be produced.
There are also additional costs like taxes, shippings, packages and so on.
Intangible products are great because they have lower production costs.
They are available online to interested consumers.
Large quantities of intangible products are not a must to make a profit.
You can sell them as low or high ticket offers and products.
Typically they are offered for a free download just to be upsold later.
Intangible products can have educational character for the buyers.
There is a deeper connection between sellers and customers.
Intangible products are highly recommended if you are a self-starter.
Intangible products unfortunately require more time in a production process.
Good design sometimes could not match the content that stands underneath design.
False promises with overnight results are oftentimes characteristics of intangibles.
Intangible products are sometimes either too cheap either too expensive.
Intangible products can be created by copycats and fake gurus.
Creators of intangibles need to learn how to sell without help from others.
Getting bigger audience all the time is required for more sales.
Always choose selling products instead of selling services.
Selling products will make you more money than selling services.
Some of the infopreneurs are earning more than the lawyers and doctors.
You need to offer as many services as you can in big volumes if you are planning
to become a next millionaire but low volumes are the biggest problem.
42
You need to work more while offering services just to make bigger volumes.
Websites oftentimes do not state their pricings on their websites.
Your whole career can be ruined if you provide bad services.
Majority of skills needed for selling services are coming outside of the universities.
Infoproducts are number one intangible products on the market.
People are now able to learn how to solve problems with ease without asking
family, friends or not so modern school system for a help.
Make different but helpful infoproducts just like I am making.
Affiliate earnings are not stable source of online income.
You need to count on refund rates if you are doing affiliate marketing.
None of the money back guarantees can’t lower the refund rates.
Affiliate marketing is not a good starting point if you just set up your blog
no matter the engaging and interesting advertorials you are getting from vendors.
Never sell affiliate products on your landing page or on your bridge page.
Some vendors combine bridge page and sales page at the same time.
Utilize power of making effective video sales letters.
If you do not have enough time to make VSL’s then link to the VSL’s made from
your vendors that are embedded on their sales pages.
Final page might be considered as a sales page if coming from vendor’s POV.
Membership site is a type of website where users pay you on a
monthly, weekly, daily or yearly basis if they want to get an access to specific
content or area of a website that are restricted or hidden until they pay.
After paying they are becoming exclusive members of your site and they get an
access to coaching, consulting, modules, community, tutorial videos, etc.
E-mail marketing is disregarded because you work on your membership site.
43
Membership sites are easy to set up but they need a lot of work to be maintained.
You will lose a lot of time while brainstorming about how should you bill your
members and did you choose a perfect Wordpress plugin for your membership site.
Maintaining membership site does not provide you with a much time left for
freelancing,being a product creator and a seller,being a vendor,starting your own
affiliate network and tracking the performances of your affiliates.
You need to be available for your members and present for most of the time on
your membership site because you need to put fresh content out all the time.
Consultant is an individual employed in a company or self-employed.
He or she has knowledge about solving specific problems for the customers.
Although this knowledge might be superficial or not on top, consultants still
represent qualities to be sought after and to live comfortably.
People as consultants are working longer than 9-5 just to sustain their position.
Sooner or later consultants are trying to reposition themselves as coaches.
Coach is an individual who works directly with trainee or assist him in order
to achieve certian goal or result like writing better CV for an example.
Coaches do have same characteristics as consultants but they do not sell products
or services like consultants do but instead they are charging for their teachings.
Coaches are able to obtain bigger lifetime value per customer.
Coaches have meaningful long term relationships with clients or trainees.
Mentor is an individual who is like some sort of guardian angel for his mentee.
Mentor guides his mentee to the road of success.
Mentor explains proven systems of acquiring wealth to mentee but mentorship is
not a one way street because success depends on mentee’s persistence too.
Mentors do not advertise themsleves but people are reaching out to them.
44
Whole businesses are built upon different mentorships through years and years.
Freelancer is a self-employed or individual contractor hired by an agency or other
individual interested in his or hers services or products.
Being a freelancer is a new form of lifestyle where you do not have salary
but your earnings surpass salary in terms of how often and big they are.
Sell infoproducts on a freelancing platform instead of selling services.
Infoproducts like courses are more scalable than selling services.
Freelancing platform is a place to sell the courses because of vibrant traffic it has.
Influencer marketing is a type of marketing where brands use online
influence of a certain person who oftentimes has significant audience.
Influencer in return promotes brand’s product or services to the audience.
Influencers can be reached out directly by the brands or via influencer plaforms or
agencies who charge more for getting in touch with top influencers.
Brands provide promo codes to the influencers and these promo codes are later
being offered for usage to the influencer’s audience on influencer’s website.
You can be a blogger/influencer if you have at least 5000 e-mail subscribers.
If you are a smaller YouTuber and you want to become a YouTube influencer
you will need at least 10000 subscribers just to work with the brands.
Micro influencers have higher engagement rates than the macro influencers.
Discipline and patience are going to be your secret weapons while becoming an
influencer and you will also need to build Pinterest or YouTube account besides
working on your blog because Google’s recognition is simply not enough.
Brands will make pre-selection before they decide are you a perfect fit for them.
Do the guest posts and get featured as a guest in podcasts.
Make presentations in online summits and attend events whenever you can.
45
Do the joint webinars with bloggers similar to your niche.
Have also unpaid reviews about products and services on your blog.
Write about the products or services that you are actually using.
Let the brands reach out to you first or try with e-mail outreach.
Micro influencers charge about $250 for writing one product review.
Some of the influencers do not charge for the sponsored posts but they are getting
product, service or a gift from the sponsors in return.
Inluencer marketing can be effective but it takes time to build an audience.
Google AdSense brings three parties into the play and they are advertiser, publisher
and a website visitor.
Advertisers bid to place their ads on the publisher’s website.
Advertiser with the highest bid pays one cent more than the previous one.
This is done so an ad could get and sustain its maximum value.
Publishers are website owners who decide where, when and how to put the ads
on their website or a blog by making it monetized by Google AdSense.
Google AdSense is a privilege of websites with big monthly traffic such as
websites with guest bloggers who are writing about their niche or for websites with
free tools such as free SEO analyzers, word counters, calorie calculators, etc.
Google AdSense does not help smaller bloggers that much.
Google can always shut down your account so you must be careful.
That is why it is useful to diversify your blogging income.
Leave Google AdSense at the bottom of your monetization channels.
You need to write content all the time if you want to have AdSense friendly blog.
You also need to be ranked number one in Google’s search results.
Retargeted ads of your competitors might appear on your blog.
46
Competitors want to turn your audience into their audience.
If you are yoga expert then put ads of yoga mats on your blog.
AdSense websites look professional just because of the ads.
AdSense revenue is not consistent or sustainable for most of the bloggers.
Find experts who are willing to write guest posts on your website.
Give them or deduct them roles with an access to your Wordpress text editor.
It is not recommended to put affiliate links in the posts because of AdSense.
Do not put Google AdSense ads on pages with affiliate offers.
Douglas McGregor talked about theory X and theory Y in a modern management.
At the core of his teachings is a principle about how our beliefs shape our behavior
and how that behavior shapes behavior of other people around us.
According to theory X,the average man is by nature indolent,he works as little as
possible so there is a misconception about how workers are lazy by default.
Average man lacks ambition, dislikes responsibility and he prefers to be led.
He is inherently self-centered, indifferent to organizational needs.
He is by nature resistant to change.
He is gullible, not very bright, the ready dupe of the charlatan and the demagogue.
Theory X managers are persuasive and controlling, they rarely reward the
employees because theory X managers see the employees as lazy and uninterested.
Theory X beliefs lead to controlling practices which leads to employee’s resistance
and then the same resistance leads to the poor results or no results at all.
Theory Y on the other side states that the expenditure of mental and physical
activities in work is as natural as play or rest.
External control and the threat of the punishment are not the only means for
bringing about effort toward organizational objectives.
47
Man will exercise self-direction and self-control in the service of objectives to
which he is committed.
Under the conditions of modern industrial life, the intelectual potentialities of the
average human being are only partially utilized.
Theory Y also states that the commitment to objectives is a function of the rewards
associated with their achievement.
The most significant of such rewards, such as the satisfaction of ego and self-
actuelization needs, can be direct products of efforts directed toward organizational
objectives if workers love their work,if they are diligent and constantly rewarded.
The average human being learns under proper conditions not only to accept but
also to seek responsibility.
The capacity to exercise a relatively high degree of imagination, ingenuity and
creativity in the solution of organizational problems is widely, not narrowly,
distributed in population.
Theory X meets only safety and physiological needs.
Theory Y meets self-esteem,belonging and self-actuelization needs.
We of course observe Maslow’s hierarchy of needs while projecting theory X and
theory Y on particular levels of needs in Maslow’s hierarchy of needs.
Statements, teachings, searches and definitions above are taken from McGregor’s
'' The Human side of enterprise '' book which was published in 1960 and which is
considered as one of the most cited organizational science studies in the world.
I noticed that modern supervisors and upper managers are using either theory X
either theory X combined with theory Y but never theory Y in its entirety.
If they are using theory X with theory Y hand in hand they are still relying mostly
on theory X in their daily managerial routine.
48
Yes,there are some occassional team buildings and small gifts from a company
but they are not enough to cover esteem, belonging and self-actuelization needs.
Chairmans,CEOs and every board of the directors need to know that workers are
not effective if there are presumptions about how they only work good if their
safety and physiological needs are only fulfilled.
Middle management needs to have higher needs fulfilled.
Only in that case extraordinary results are promised and achieved.
Unfortunately, middle managers are not motivated to stay in modern companies for
a long period of time so getting fired or quitting a job is inevitable.
That is why I am recommending about going solo in your business.
There are no prejudices about your potential, you know your self-worth the best.
I do not want you to just train money making systems but I also want you to train
your body, mind and soul so you could be a complete individual.
Hit the gym today and start reading about manifestation during the resting days.
Spiritual teachers and masters of wisdom are surely Confucious and Lao Tzu.
I want to pump you up for the new business goals with next Confucious quotes.
'' Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it. ''
Money making systems are invisible for those who do not seek for prosperity.
'' Wherever you go,go with all of your heart. ''
Leave underpaid job and dedicate yourself fully to creating your own product.
'' It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop. ''
Setting up the projects might take months and months but results are undeniable.
'' If they spit at you behind your back it means you are ahead of them. ''
Your success and lifestyle will become the reasons of other people’s jealousy.
'' When anger arises, think about the consequences. ''
49
Do not let no one ruin your day, dreams, aspirations or goals.
'' Silence is a true friend who never betrays. ''
Do not reveal your plans to no one and plan for the success with a peace of mind.
Lao Tzu goes forever with the flow with memorable quotes like next ones.
'' Knowing others is intelligence, knowing yourself is true wisdom.
Mastering others is strenght, mastering yourself is true power. ''
Focus only on your wealth, health, happiness and self-development.
'' He who defines himself can not know who he really is. ''
Everything is changing including ourselves, plans and directions we are moving to.
'' Give evil nothing to oppose and it will disappear by itself. ''
Do not bother yourself with cynical assaults that you are getting from the haters.
'' Care about what other people think and you will always be their prisoner. ''
You mightn’t have a job but you have multiple sources of income which is better.
'' The wise man is one who knows what he does not know. ''
I am still learning about new ways on how to diversify my income.
'' New beginnings are often disguised as painful endings. ''
It is a circle of life that never ends.
'' When nothing is done, nothing is left undone. ''
Set the priorities and do the things one by one.
'' Kindness in words creates confidence.
Kindness in thinking creates profoundness.
Kindness in giving creates love. ''
This does not mean you need to be fake but being kind is a new sexy.
'' By letting it go,it all gets done.
The world is won by those who let go.
50
But when you try and try,the world is beyond the winning. ''
Put some effort in your actions but do not be attached to the outcome.
Burt Goldman said that quantum jumping is an advanced mental visualization
