ABSTRACT
The study sought to investigate the effects of inflation on capital budgeting at TelOne. It is
the objective of this study to evaluate the effects of inflation on capital budgeting and
ascertain if the strategies being implemented are effective. Qualitative research design was
used in data collection and primary data was collected through questionnaires and interviews.
The population sample was drawn from the TelOne Gweru. The results show that the existing
strategies to overcome inflation are not very effective in the making of sound investment
decisions. Based on this, the study recommended that TelOne Gweru should implement other
strategies such as NPV, IRR and Discounted cash flows in trying to overcome inflation
troubles.
