Reason for the revelation of Surah Ar-Rahman:
The people of Makkah doubted the Quran and said that someone was
teaching Prophet Muhammed S.A.W the quran that he brought to
them. Allah SWT reveled Surah Ar-Rahman to reply the people of
Makkah and to prove that Allah was the one who taught Prophet
Muhammed S.A.W the quran and also that Allah was the one who
reveled the Quran
Highlights:
The arabic word for Ar-Rahman ()الرحمنconsits of the beginnig of three
surah. When combined it forms one of Allah name
( ) الرthe beginning of Surah Yusuf
( ) حمthe beginning of Surah Fussilat
() نthe beginning of Surah Al-Qalam

Reason Allah started the Surah with his Name/Significance of the Surah
Allah SWT started the Surah with his name (( )الرحمنThe Most Merciful)
because he doesn’t want anyone to lose hope for His mercy. He tells us
the gift he has granted to people and His mercy upon them. He
revealed the quran to Muhammed S.A.W and made it easy for us to
understand and memorize. He then demonstrated the good and evil so
we can differntiate between halal and haram.
The question repeated in the Surah:
(So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?)
We human beings and jinns, what gifts given to you by Allah SWT have
you deny?The answer is: we deny nothing of the gifts of our lord, Praise
be to him
Background Of the Surah:
Name: Surah Ar-Rahman (One of the attribute of Allah) From beginning
to end it talks about the manifestation and fruit of Allah’s attribute of
mercy and grace.

Verses 1-4: The creation of man and the revelation of the quran
Verses 5-25: The wordly blessigns of Allah such as Moon, Sun, Stars,
Planets
Verses 26-45: The establishment of the day of Judgement and the
punishment for the deniers of the day of judgement
Verses 45-78: Discription of the blessigns of Paradise which will be
granted to the righteous people and jinn who led pious lives in this
world
