LEARNING OBJECTIVES

M At the end of the lesson, most pupils will be able to spell at least 7 cloth words correctly.

C At the end of the lesson, most pupils will be able to find at least 7 words in the word search.

1. Display picture cards on the board.


2. Give them 1 minute to look and remember the pictures.
I. PRE-LESSON
3. Hide the cards. Make true/false statements. (e.g. The skirt is red).
4. Pupils tell you if your statements are true or false, and correct false statements.
1. Recap previous lesson by showing clothes flashcards.
2. Pupils name the clothes and spell the words or sound out the letters.
3. Repeat a few times if necessary.
4. Distribute worksheets.
5. In pairs, pupils look at the pictures and find the words in the word search.
II. LESSON DEVELOPMENT
6. Then pupils write them next to the pictures.
7. Monitor and help as and when necessary.
8. If you have access to the internet, you may guide pupils to create their own word
searches on the computer in pairs.
9. Pairs print and exchange word searches to complete each other’s.
1. Pupils write one cloth that they learned on a piece of blank paper and wad it up.
III. POST LESSON 2. Given a signal, they throw their paper snowballs in the air.
3. Then each pupil picks up a paper snowball, open it and reads it aloud.
