Essay. Answer the following questions in 150 words or more.

1. What can you say about the adaption of HIS in the hospitals in the Philippines?
In regarding of adopting Health Information System in the hospitals in the
Philippines, all I can say is that it’s really good and useful. It increases the
timeliness and accuracy of administering patient. It makes the work easier and
faster. There are still difficulties encountered in adapting HIS in the Philippines,
but still making an improvement for the better.

2. How would you differentiate the data sources for HIS?

I can differentiate the date sources for HIS by its uses and focus. Just like
demographic data I can differentiate it to others because it focuses on the
facts/information about the patient. Unlike Administrative data focuses on
service. In Health Risk information it’s about the lifestyle and behavior not only
on the patient but also to its family. While Health status refer to the domain of
health. also, patient medical history is about the information on past medical
records. The current medical management reflects the patient’s health and
Outcomes data presents the measures of aftereffects of health care and of
various health problems.
