EXECUTION STATEMENT FOR CCTV SURVEY WORK
SCOPE OF WORK
We propose to start the project immediately after an agreement has been reached to give
sufficient time for any additional modification and preparation, which might be required. Due
to nature of CCTV survey works and the routing we expect that certain additional
preparations might be required.
To ensure a fast and efficient execution of a project all parties involved will work closely
together and allow for flexibility in the approach. Following steps will be taken:
START UP
♦ Conduct start up meeting with all concerned parties involved to agree on
schedules, procedure and reporting formats
♦ Review available drawings and concur on acceptable execution plan
CCTV SURVEY
♦ Obtain copy of required work permits from the main
contractor
♦ CCTV survey of each cleaned sections in line with
specifications
♦ Prepare reports in accordance with agreed format
♦ Keep unit available until completion of the project.
EVALUATION
♦ Evaluate results
♦ Prepare reports
♦ Present reports to engineers
♦ Discuss result and evaluate implementation
METHOD STATEMENT
MOBILISATION
The CCTV has modules such as control units, computers, cameras and lighting
incorporated in the climatic controlled operator section. The cameras, crawlers, cable
reel, work bench, spares and consumable are available inside the rear compartment.
All parts are fitted inside an aluminum container at the rear of a utility van for mobility.
After a schedule has been agreed upon and the required access authorization have
been obtained the unit will be mobilized to site.
SITE PREPARATION
Specific site preparations in line with client safety regulations will be carried out. All
required test for man entry in confined spaces and proper safety precautions will be
taken into account. The site preparation shall be carried out together with main
contractor personnel. The CCTV operators will closely work together with these crews
to be ready for the survey as soon as a section is available.

CCTV SURVEY
The CCTV survey is identical for each line section. The following individual steps will
be conducted:
⇒ Obtain copy of required work permits
⇒ open upstream & downstream access points
⇒ functional test of CCTV system after arriving on site
⇒ set-up CCTV van near access entry
⇒ test line environment
⇒ lower crawler with camera to invert level
⇒ align camera to centre and start of invert
⇒ reset meter count to 0 plus crawler length depending on position
⇒ write information of section into screen
⇒ start video recording
⇒ self propel crawler with camera via joy stick in control cabin
⇒ where crawler is used adjust speed between 0-30 m/min actual speed will be
adjusted to condition experienced for best results. Distance will be continuously
displayed in monitor.
⇒ regulate light source for optimum lighting 0-100%
⇒ where crawler is used, stop at anomalies swivel/rotate, focus/zoom to get best
quality pictures
⇒ write in additional data as necessary (anomaly type & orientation)
⇒ Log photographs as required
⇒ survey until section is completed
⇒ end survey by writing information into screen
⇒ disconnect crawler with camera at opposite access
⇒ retrieve cable via cable reel
⇒ set up unit at next section
⇒ clean unit and test all functions
⇒ clean up site(s)
It is understood that a good housekeeping is essential for a professional execution of
any project. Safety precautions and proper site handling are part of the of the ISO
standard and will play a key role in successfully completing of a survey.
REPORTING
A complete and complete report for each line section will be given after completion of
the survey. Following individual steps apply:
⇒ Preparation of written report for each section
⇒ Logging of Photographs taken
⇒ Logging of video records
⇒ Preparation of survey report

A comprehensive report inclusive the database will be handed to the client at the
completion of the survey. The MS Windows NT based software will be able to handle
and store all issued reports and findings which where compiled during the project. All
collected data and allows post processing to meet with the individual future
requirements. All information collected during the individual section surveys will be
available in such report.
The evaluation software has been specifically developed for the survey of utility
pipelines. It incorporates all features from base line information, detailed section
information, survey results, assessments up to final completion.
Upon the completion of the entire survey, the results and the reports will be presented
to client. The findings will be explained, discussed and any questions answered.

As Specialised Technical Services Est. are contractors for Utilities,
Oil and Gas sector for local Authorities and Oil companies. Our
personnel adhere to the strictest health and safety program, with all
members of staff certified in safe entry into confined spaces and also
road sign management.
DEMOBILISATION
After the successful completion of all CCTV surveys of all line
sections, the presentation and acceptance of the reports the units will be demobilized.
