AFFIDAVIT OF DESISTANCE

I, RICHARD P. PEDRAJETA Filipino, of legal age, and with office


address at SSS Pasig-Rotunda Branch, Armal Bldg., Pasig Blvd. Extn.,
Caniogan, Pasig City, after having been duly sworn in accordance with
law, do hereby state:

1. I am an Accounts Officer of the Social Security System (SSS) and


currently assigned at the SSS Pasig-Rotunda Branch Office.

2. I am the duly authorized representative of the private complainant,


SSS, in the criminal case entitled People of the Philippines vs. Mary
Joanne S. Lagman, pending before the Regional Trial Court Quezon
City, Branch 95 and docketed thereat as Criminal Case No. R-
QZN-18-12182.

3. After careful reconsideration, I have come to realize that I had


misappreciated the facts leading to the filing of the complaint and,
on behalf of SSS, therefore, I am desisting from further prosecuting
the case against the accused.

4. I understand that this desistance will result in the dismissal of the


case against the accused and that the private complainant will no
longer be able to file any criminal or civil case against the accused
or his agents, representatives, and successors-in-interest for any
and all acts arising from the incident subject of the aforementioned
criminal case.

5. With that understanding, I hereby execute this Affidavit of


Desistance freely, willingly and voluntarily.

6. I am executing this Affidavit of Desistance to attest to the truth of


the foregoing premises and for whatever legal purpose it may serve.

certify that I have examined the affiant and he has affirmed to me that
the contents of the foregoing Affidavit of Desistance are true and correct,
