In July 1991, Mt. Pinatubo erupted. Angeles City and its nearby towns in pampanga
were all devastated due the damage that it caused. All business closed down and even the
militar bases both in Clark and Subic left Angeles and Olongapo for good.
No foreign and local investors would like to invest except for Mr. Wakley and his two partners
who took the risk. They bought the former Philippine Hotel and Motel Restaurant now known
as the Orchid Inn Hotel & Resort.

Thus, the Orchid Inn Hotels & Resorts (DPR Int'l. Hotel & Resorts, Inc.) located in 109
Raymond St., Balibago, Angeles City , was established in August 1993 with 24 rooms and
with 18 employees. Two Australians, Ronald C. Wakley and Peter Curtin and One American,
Don Mori are the original investors of this company. Due to its location, quality of rooms and
good service, the hotel kepta 96% occupancy rate the whole year. The hotel during that time
was renting a back lot for future expansion, owned by a Filipina married to a Foreigner.
Because of the vision that Mr. Wakley had, invited some partners to invest in the company.
After 6 years, the Hibiscus Wing was built & was opened in September 1999, bringing the
total numbers of rooms to 51 with 37 employees. Along with the new wing, a brand new
swimming pool was also built. Due to the demand for more rooms, after 2 years another 33
rooms were built. The Jasmin Wing was rooms, after 2 years another 33 rooms were built.
The Jasmin Wing was added to the complex, including two (2) Jacuzzi rooms bringing the
total number of rooms to 86. We had 70 regular employees during that time, and at present
we have a total of at least 100 employees. Aside from the back lot rental were the Hibiscus
was built, the hotel was able to lease with an option to purchase the property where the Car
Park is located. On May 3, 2004, partial payment was made to purchase the back lot that was
being rented and on December 15, 2004, the back lot was paid in full with a total of 1,292 sq.
meters. And last year, January 15 and September 12, 2007, the two lots that are now the Car
Park were acquired and paid in full by the hotel.

At this time, Mr. Wakley was trying to get a nearby hotel which did not materialized. He
spotted an unfinished hotel building along A. Santos St, negotiated with the Korean owners
and was lucky to acquire the building. This become the sister hotel of Orchid Inn, known as
the Wild Orchid Resort ( Wattle Flowers, Inc. ) located at A. Santos cor. Johnny's St.,
Balibago, Angeles City. It opened last July 1, 2005 with 53 rooms and with first class facilities
and amenities and huge swimming pool and restaurant. Last year 2 rooms were built, bringing
the total number of rooms to 55 with 70 regular employees at this time. On the left side of the
hotel across the road, a spacious vacant lot was being rented and use for a parking lot to
accommodate guests and customers. At the back of the hotel anothet vacant lot was rented in
which the Wild Orchid Lagoon Resort was built. It was only open last November of 2009 with
80 rooms with 35 employees. Along with the three hotels, Wild Orchid International Travel &
Tours, Inc. was established last May 5, 2005 to accommodate guests in terms of tickets
reconfirmation, visa assistance, passport processing, etc.

After Wild Orchid Resort was built, they continued with their vision. They started
formulating their ideas and were able to come up an idea of building condominiums. On
March 22, 2005, Phil Rovimar Properties Corp. was incorporated and construction was
started Nov. 2005 and it opened last May 17, 2007. It is a 5 storey building, with 13 Studio
Types, 14 One Bedroom Units, 9 Two Bedroom Units and 8 Penthouses for a total of 44
Units. This is located along A. Santos St. cor. Vian St. Balibago, Angeles City just besides the
building of the Wild Orchid Resort. Owners of the condos can avail full privileges of the
renowned Wild Orchid Resort. On the ground floor of the condominium, International Sports
Bar was built. This is a sports pub and restaurant where you can unwind, have some drinks &
fun, play darts and pools and watch live sports games on big screen TV's

The Orchid Group of Companies expanded their businesses not only in Angeles City
Pampanga but also in Subic, Olongapo area. The hotel is called Wild Orchid Beach Resorts,
Inc. It was incorporated last April 11, 2007 and construction was then begun. At the moment,
16 Beach front Villas are now open for open for business. Hotel rooms, restaurant and the
swimming pool are still under constructions and will be ready for occupancy very soon.
The vision Mr. Wakley had 27 years ago continues to grow, and will be pass along future
tourists, residents and their families.
