       Baguio City is the summer capital of the Philippines and it is one of the few places in the
Philippines blessed with a cool climate. Baguio is at least eight degrees cooler than any place in
the lowlands. This place is gifted with variety of cultural, historical and scenic attractions which
make it an important and interesting destination. In the hot summer months of March, April and
May, thousands of visitors enjoy their annual vacation here. The cool temperature and mountain
views attract local and foreign tourists alike, making Baguio the most frequented destination in
Northern Luzon.
Burnham Park
         Burnham Park is a man-made lake located at the heart of the city. It was named after the
city's planner, Daniel Burnham. The park is a favorite place of local residents and visitors alike.
There are different facilities for recreation and relaxation that are available in the park. You can
row a boat, have a picnic, attend an outdoor concert, watch a football game, go biking, or just
take a leisurely stroll around the park
Baguio City Hall
         Located in the city center this current building, constructed in 1949-1950, replaced the
one built in 1910 during the term of E.W. Reynolds, first city mayor and was destroyed during
World War II in 1945.
Baguio Cathedral
         Standing on a hill originally referred to as Kampo by the native Ibalois, the Our Lady
of Atonement Cathedral depicts Gothic architectural influences in its twin spires, stained glass,
and rose windows. The structure also has a distinctive pink color. It was built in phases starting
in 1920 not by the Spaniards by a Catholic Mission established by missionaries of the
Congregatio Immaculati Cordis Mariae (CICM) from Belgium in 1907.
Botanical Garden
         The Baguio Botanical Garden has a wide range of flowering, herbal, and decorative
plants interspersed with pine trees. Some plants are even for sale.
The gardens main entrance is along Leonard Wood Road, between the Teachers Camp and
Pacdal Circle. It had been in the past been called Igorot Village, Imelda Park, and Centennial
Park. Within the huge park are relics from its Igorot Village days, such as tribal huts and
sculptures.
The Mansion
         -was built in 1908, The Mansion on Leonard Wood Road housed a succession of
American governor-generals. It is located just across Wright Park.
It is now utilized as the official residence of the Philippine President in the summer capital. The

the inspiration for its wrought iron gates.
Wright Park
         Wright Park offers horseback rides and this is located northeast of the city center.
From the horseback riding area, a stone stairway leads to the Pool of the Pines, a quiet stretch
with a 100-meter long shallow and narrow pool lined on both sides by Baguios towering pines.
The park is named after Luke Edward Wright, American governor-general of the Philippines
(1904-1906).
Mines View Park
         The park is located in the outskirts of Baguio, offers a wide and clear view of Benguets
mountain ranges where gold, silver, and other ores were once mined, hence its name.
Souvenir items and other Baguio products are sold in the area. Silver jewelry, which the city is
known for, is sold at the Ibays and Pilak branches in Mines View.
Strawberry Farm
         Strawberry farm is located at La Trinidad, Benguet. As you reach the place you can see
fields full of Strawberrys. Everyone is allowed to pick strawberry but you need to pay for them
by the kilos. Out side, Strawberry farm there are so many traders selling baskets of strawberries,
goodies and souvenir items like Strawberry key chain, strawberry bags, Strawberry hats, and
many more. You can also taste one of the favorites strawberry TAHO and Strawberry Ice cream
for a very fair price
Camp John Hay
         Camp John Hay has often been referred to as the little Baguio with Baguio City. The
urban design for Baguio created by American architect Daniel H. Burnham in the 1900s was for
a community with a population expected to reach but not breach 25,000.
Tan-awan Village
         Tan-awan Village promotes and preserves tribal and indigenous cultures and practices.
It offers accommodations in authentic dwelling places of Benguets different tribes. The village
features seven Ifugao and two Kalinga huts made of indigenous materials.
Bell Church
         It is located at downtown area of La Trinidad Benguet. Here you can find colourful
temples, attractive pagodas and well landscape gardens. There are also books available for
those who want to know the history and culture of China. Bell church is crowded every Chinese
New year because mostly of the Chinese visit the temples to pray and witness the colourful
Chinese New Year Parade.
Bencab Museum
         National artist Benedicto Cabrera displays his collection of paintings, drawings, prints,
and sculpture at the BenCab Museum.
Located along Km. 6 Asin Road, Cabreras museum also features works of rising contemporary
artists. An interesting albeit mature spot in the museum is the Erotica Gallery. Drawings,
paintings, sculpture, and other artworks by various artists with an erotic subject or theme are
displayed there.
Philippine Military Academy
        This is an a old US Base that was handed back to the Philippine Government on the 1st of
July 1991 as it was used by the United States Armed Forces as a rest and recreation facility for
service men and their dependents, and a concentration Camp for British and American citizens
in the 2nd World War. Today if you love Golf you love this place it has a 18 hole course that will
take some beating, This holiday Village has a lot to offer with its 5 Star Manor Hotel with 175
Rooms for its guests , its own Shopping Centre called the Mile-Hi Centre.
Lourdes Grotto
        A shrine to the Lady of the Lourdes is located close to the BenCab Museum. The Our
Lady of the Lourdes Grotto is accessible through the Dominican Hill Road and pilgrims need to
climb 252 steps to reach it.
Asin Hot Springs
        Asin hot springs has a wonderful hot springs, giving visitors the chance to indulge in
some serious relaxation. The Asin hot springs in Tablay, 10 miles north of Baguio, are some of
the best in the country and feature a large swimming pool surrounded by the hot springs and
attractive greenery
