Visit Report

On Monday morning Mr. Ashfaq Ahmad manager D&D and Deputy Manager Jahanzeb Hashmi visited
AL-Ghazi Tractors Limited. They met with Mr. Tanveer Ahmad (General Manager MM) Muhammad Tahir
Ali (Deputy Manager MM) at Karachi Head office.

Following points were discussed.

 Target price of Crown wheel and Pinion should be less than 3760 PKR.
 In start MEL would fulfill 10% of total AGTL requirement which could be raised to 50 %.
 Material 20MnCr5 can be used. AGTL will provide approval in written.
 AGTL is offering 4 additional Gears and Balancer Unit for development. Currently these parts are
being imported.
 Description and part Numbers are as following
1. Sun Gear Planetary Splitter Part No. 579294
2. Synchrohub Gear 1st and 2nd Part No.593634
3. Sleeve sliding Gear Part No. 5102147
4. Sleeve fixing Speed Control Part No. 5138221
 Drawings of these parts are handed over(attached as Annexure A).
 Samples can be provided on request.

On second half we visited Transmission Engineering head office they offered some dead inventory of
tooling laying with them. We found some tooling we can’t use in Mel as there are three brochs with
are in two steps with is not useful for MEL. Day after next we will visit Hub final list of machines

Then we visited Sharsha for Thread rolling machine and met with Mr.Zulfiqar he has a Japanes
thread roll machine tusagi which is same working in Stander Engineering on hydalic shaft condition
of this machine is very good he offerd that he can produce your sanmples if we can provide thread
roll to him on this machine his offered price is 550,000. Pic are following

He promised an ether machine with high capacity which can roll two side splines one time PV is
make.

Next day we visited Internatanl

Met with Mr M. Saleemthay M jamil directoremr.masuoodusmani GM operation are interested to


be a vendor of MEL. They have good facility of forging and machine and gear cuttingHTWe found
that they are produsing Pinion on same machines that we have for Crowing there machine is
defferent. Due to no production now a days machines were not opratanal

So we could not get the inspection patrensthay don’t have press quenching facility thy carborise on
salt baht

Day Third first half

Visited with FashihAgah to to Hub Chuki plant of Transmutation Engineering

Re inspected the all machines and finalized the list of our required machines.

Also inspect the offered tools and asked to him please send us there drawing.

And got quotations of tools and selected machines

Day third Second half

Then we visited green twon forother Thread rolling machine and met with Mr.Zulfiqar he has thread
rolling Pee Vee machine. The said machine was not as per our requirement he told us please send us
a drawing of component and one set of thread roll along with hyd. Shaft he will locate our required
machine and let us know

Day fourth

Visited to Hi tech engineering and met with Mr. ikhlaq discussed setting of fiat Cw and got summey
sheet of 12 47 CW

We could not able to reach PMTF to met Mr. Arshad and Mr. Altafe due to strice we could not reach
to PMTF and JKJ

Now sitting in loung and writing visit report

Revised the the list of selected Machines and got the quotation of these machines
