To dismantle the belt drive, first loosen the adjusting screw and washer at the foot of the motor nearest the compressor. Then loosen the screws securing the motor to the base frame and push the motor towards the compressor. This allows the V-belts to be manually removed without damage. The compressor pulley is then removed using the special remover tool.
