Through working in Hospital Supply at the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine, I am able to supply
medical equipment to the different departments of the teaching hospital.

Intern at Southpaws veterinary hospital (Mandeville, LA)


May 2018 - July 2018
Opportunity to observe numerous surgeries, but also to get hands-on experience from astute colleagues.
Learned how to prep patients for surgery, insert breathing tubes and intravenous therapy, and became
familiarized with the ins-and-outs of working in a veterinary office.

Weekly volunteer at Companion Animal Management


Current
I am able to walk dogs, socialize with cats, and assist adopters in finding an animal that fits their
lifestyle/personality. Furthermore, I also help with cleaning kennels, preparing treats, and organizing
pantry rooms.

Matchmaker at Cat Haven (Baton Rouge, LA)

Build relationships with potential adopters and assist them in finding cats that are a good match for their
home and lifestyle. Educating adopters about Cat Haven’s guidelines and completing paperwork. Assisted
with off-site adoption locations and events.

Member of Delta Gamma Sorority at LSU


Current
Through Delta Gamma I volunteer at the Louisiana School for the Visually Impaired, the St. James
Retirement community, assist visually impaired students on campus, and participate as a Miracle League
Buddy; play ball with children with mental and physical disabilities in an organized league.

Leadership

Board Member of the LSU Pre-Veterinary Club


Current (Awarded top participant in fall semester)
Through this organization I assist in events such as Spay Day and dog washes at the LSU School of
Veterinary Medicine. I was ranked one of the top four participants in the club in the fall semester of 2019-
2020. In the upcoming Fall I will serve as a Board Member for the Pre-Veterinary Club organizing
philanthropic and skill building activities.

Current
Through the VMCAS organization at the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine, I was able to offer a new
philanthropy to my sorority. Delta Gamma members can sign up to wash and socialize with the teaching
dogs at the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine.

President of the Humane Society at Northshore High School


2018-2019
Started a ‘Paws for a Cause’ donation event to benefit the local, non-profit and no-kill shelters in St.
Tammany Parish. The event provided cleaning supplies, beds, and food for needy animals.

Track Captain at Northshore High School


2017-2019
Becoming Track Captain my junior and senior year of high school has taught me how to encourage
people and bring them together through a common interest. It has also taught me how to lead and how to
teach my peers.
