Veterinary Technician May 2020 – Current
· Well experienced in lab work including urinalysis, blood tests, and microscopic identification. Technical skills in
medicine injection, taking vitals, blood draws, animal handling and restraint. Familiar with various medical tools
and current medications utilized in today’s Veterinary field. Able to focus and work efficiently under pressure in
monitoring animals during surgical procedures such as neuters, spays, mass removals, enucleations, orthopedics
and more. Educated clients on various aspects of preventative care and information regarding their pet.

Division of Laboratory Medicine Student Worker September 2018 – April 2022
· Technical observation skills in animal health monitoring to assure all animals appear healthy, behaving normally,
properly feed, and are accounted for daily. Experienced handling skills with small animals such as chameleons,
mice, geckos, rabbits, snakes, parrots, hedgehogs, etc. Practiced strict guidelines for maintaining laboratory
sterility while also working with BSL-2 animals.

Recruitment and Development Student Worker August 2019 – April 2022
· Administrated recruitment events and helped develop programming for the College of Agriculture students.
Served as the liaison between the student body and Dean’s staff as a Peer Mentor, ensuring all students were
personally and academically supported. Reached out to potential students, communicating with them about how
they would benefit from making LSU their collegiate home. Gave tours to incoming students and gave my personal
testimony of my time at LSU and how I found my fit.

1VM Representative October 2022 – Current
· I am the primary communication between the organization and the first year veterinary students,
keeping them updated with all meetings, information, and opportunities available to them.

· Successfully coordinated and hosted over 25 events for both the College of Ag and main campus
· Helped create a Diversity and Inclusion course for the LSU College of Agriculture
· Publicly spoke amongst audiences both on and off campus as a College of Ag representative
LSU BLACK WOMEN’S EMPOWERMENT INITIATIVE

· Led the youngest organization on campus to host over 7 events with over 400 volunteer hours
collaboratively
· Led empowerment circles for both academic and personal development workshops
