Project Impact Analysis For Flood Control/Drainage Program

The document describes a proposed flood mitigation project along the Bicol River in Libmanan, Camarines Sur. The project would construct a 164-meter concrete dike on steel sheet piles to protect 1,815 people from flooding. Without the dike, 0.22 square kilometers would flood for 3 days every 50 years, damaging 348 homes worth 34.8 million pesos. With the dike, flooding would be reduced to 0.10 square kilometers for just 1 day, saving 615 people and 3.48 million pesos in damages each flood event.

PROJECT IMPACT ANALYSIS FOR FLOOD CONTROL/DRAINAGE PROGRAM

Name of Project: OO2: Construction/ Rehabilitation of Flood Mitigation Facilities within Major River Basins and Principal Rivers - Construction of Dike within
Bicol River Basin, Brgy. San Vicente, Libmanan Camarines Sur
Description: Construction of Concrete Dike on Steel Sheet Pile
Goals/Objectives: To mitigate flooding in the areas affected by the River Flow during Typhoon and Heavy Rains and protect the river banks from erosion.

Loaction: Libmanan, Camarines Sur 2nd LD

Project Cost: ₱30,000,000.00

Note: Hydrologic Analysis is based on the available data from Google Map (elevations) and PPA Manuals (Highest Water Level Elevations-Table A page 13. All data are subject
for verification and complete Hydrologic/Hydraulic design will be conducted during Detailed Engineering phase to include Geotechnical, Tidal Analysis, Slope and stability
Analysis and other required Design parameters.
