Website report

In our modern world, we have to find the best way to deepen our knowledge,
and have fun with learning at the same time. The internet provides us a lot of
variations of how we want to learn, for example languages. There are a lot of
web pages which can be informative and entertaing as well. My exercise was to
find a page that helps to build my english vocabulary. In my oppinion the best
website for this aim is the www.wordthink.com.
First of all, it is very important that the site you found has to be eye
catching, and of course, useful. Only the geeks will visit websites which show
monotonous texts without any colour or picture. If you visit the
www.wordthink.com , you will see that there is one word for each day. I think
this is very creative and great idea, because it does not show you a pile of
unknown words, just one new for a day. It won’t be a great hardship to get
acquainted with these words.
To scan the page in details, we can see that there is a new word, and then,
we get a short expression about what does it mean. Of course it is in english.
The page shows what kind of word is it, whether adjective or verb or anything
else. After all of these helpful things, the editors give us a sentence with the
word of the day, as an example and help. What is more, we can realise that there
is another option, which can be very useful and entertaining: quote of the day.
Those who like literature or just want to find beautiful quotes in english, will
love it very much.
In this website you can also see an option, it is the „favourite words”. In this
way, you can collect them and use them in your speech or in your writings.
Moreover the WordThink can be downloaded to your phone, so you do not have
to sit in front of your computer, but you can use your phone whenever you want.
All in all, I highly recommend this website to everyone who wants to build
english vocabulary in a slack but effective and useful way.
