SUBJECT: 400 Series starter motor wiring

Ensure machine is isolated from AC loads and sources, and disconnect DC batteries.

Description

It is possible that some 400 series gensets may have poorly routed connections onto the
positive stud on the starter motor solenoid. All of the cables should be routed through the red
insulating boot as shown in the below photograph:

Please ensure the terminals are oriented as shown below to ensure there is no risk of
connections fouling the starter solenoid casing – insulating boot removed for clarity:
