In a garment industry there are different order quantities with delivery dates for each style as 1A,2B,3C,4D,5E mentioned in
the “production order control record” sheet . You have to calculate the deliverables based on the following parameters.

Production cycle times

1. Complete cutting- 04 days after cut issue

2. Complete sewing- 09 days after complete cutting

3. Complete finishing- 04 days after complete sewing

1. Prepare a planned completion schedule in all the Departments for each style.(4.5 Marks)

i. Complete cutting

ii. Complete sewing

iii. Complete finishing into ware house

2 .Each day the planning department receives the information on different styles completed in three departments are
cutting /sewing/finishing .Based on daily report an extract of actual daily cutting/sewing/finishing for all styles are as
follows.

a. Enter the information on the following “production order control record” (03 Marks)

b. If the daily capacity of all the departments is 3000 garments /day, then calculate the average utilization of
cutting/sewing/finishing capacity during the above days. (4.5 Marks)

c. Write down your observation regarding the problems of the above factory. (03 Marks)
