SOCIOLOGY CIA III

ANALYSIS

ABOUT

It is correctly said, a human's need never gets satisfied. Greed has always had a lousy influence
on our society. A mind with never-ending desires often leads to bringing negative vibes within
humans and the community.
However, calling everyone like this would be quite unfair, so with this case in the video. This big
world is often segregated into wealthy and underprivileged. This unjustified separation typically
sets the bar of division within the society. The video, initially, features an underprivileged kid
trying to fix the strap of his broken sandal. The kid's consistent efforts were failed until he got his
eye on the pair of well-polished shoes worn by another kid of his age. One could see the spark
within the underprivileged kid's eyes as his eyes stared at the same pair of shoes as the boy goes.
The eyes sincerely conveying the message, 'wish I could put them on too.' The polish of those
shoes matches with attractiveness within his eyes until realizing how different they both were
from their sides.
As the train came on the station, so does the crowd in abundance, and in this hush of stepping
into the train, the wealthy child had his one shoe off. The poor child rushed towards the lying
shoe. Thoughts of claiming and enjoying the feeling of wearing it must be running in his mind,
but little everyone would have expected; his honesty came in return, making him to follow the
train and to return it. Unfortunately, he couldn't help despite his efforts but what happened next
was entirely unexpected. The on-boarded child took his other shoe off and threw it, realizing that
none of them would benefit only one show with themselves, thereby; showed his selfless
attitude. They saw each other off with a smile of something good on their face as they both
understood each other without meeting each other and bidding themselves on a positive note.
MESSAGE

Like mentioned, greed presents a lousy influence in society. The poor child could have taken the
shoe and ran away, but what he did made this video different. Even though he stared at the pair
of shoes as he needed it so much, but he ends up following the train to return it, imparting the
message like more of a family thing, where one returns the other’s item. Such was appropriate as
per the expected behavior or norms.

Also, the sense of mutuality shows how society needs to be bonded with mutual interest. In this
case, the mutual interest would have benefited none; the on-boarded child showed the gesture of
giving, which counts as another big thing. Such messages are more of a progressive awareness
where things are usually opposed as they are. Knowing the situation and reacting precisely as per
it is what something to learn from. Knowing belonging to better status and giving would do
nothing but bring happiness makes the person bigger in class, not the background.

WHAT TO LEARN

Such thinking, especially in a world like today, where we care only about ourselves, must be
transformed and delivered better. In a place like a railway station, with so much crowd, the poor
boy could have taken it and gone without anyone's notice. Still, self-realization and self-
responsibility towards society are what this video taught us. One boy tried his best to return the
shoe; the other showed the courage and sensibility to understand the small yet best thing; if not
his benefit, let others benefit. In our society, where everyone is concern about his/her advantage
without bothering others, the wealthy kid puts medicine on that stereotype. One could give
his/her reasons or justification, but we, as in society, forget to look towards others' benefit.

Conclusively, what I learnt from the video is the world needs to and must have this amount of
understanding and self-responsibility. The shoe's pair was a simple yet an effective example that
could be related to our everyday clashes with each other towards a thing. The video depicts that
one must have the inner-honesty and acceptance towards the fact that reward will come not by
taking someone's else but by letting others reward you for what you're.
