RTI/STD CLINIC

INTRODUCTION:

We M.sc nursing II year community health nursing students of MTPG&RIHS for our
curriculum requirement we were visited in designated RTI/STD clinic. Urban health
centre,odiansalai, puducherry

 Lab technician- Mr.Kumaravel
 Social worker- Mr. Karunagaran

Std control officer took class on national AIDS control program

Some of the clinic cases can be referred to IGMC, kathirkamam

State referral centre is JIPMER

In suraksha clinic .the last year census was2960 cases in puducherry.

INTEGRATED COUNSELING AND TESTING CENTRE

Due to social stigma, everyone should not attending the suraksha clinic,to for come the problem
NGO’s select few people from their community for a particular area.

They have to bring out the six workers for HIV testing

 Patient education
 Partner treatment
 Provision of condoms
 Referral services

CONCLUSION

Through this visit we have learning STD control program and their implementation towards the
services of the individual family and community.
