Election Guidelines
The guidelines to elect three student members of the Internal Complaints Committee
(ICC) in terms of Section 4(1)(c) of the University Grants Commission (Prevention,
Prohibition and Redressal of Sexual Harassment of Women Workmen Employees and
Students in Higher Educational Institutions) Regulations,2015:
Procedure of Election:
1. Out of three students representative, two positions are reserved for female.
2. The election will be held through online voting. A Google form link will be
sent on the day for election to vote.
3. Interested students shall send their nominations (Form-A) to iccelections20-
21@dsnlu.ac.in
4. Any withdrawal, students shall also send their withdrawal (Form-B) from
election to the above mail id.
5. Final list of nominated Candidates will be issued by Election Officer (Form-
C).
6. On the day of the election, a Google form link will be sent to all the students
along with instructions to vote.
7. Students with the maximum votes will be declared as winners of the election
and would be nominated to ICC 2020-21.
8. Each student shall cast their votes in favour of three candidates only.
9. Students casting votes in favour of any other choice or additional candidate
shall make the vote invalid after third choice.
10. Final certificate of election (Form-D) will be issued by Election officer.
Eligibility Criteria
The following shall be the eligibility criteria for being elected as student’s
representative in ICC
• He/She should be a student pursuing regular LL.B/LL.M degree in the
University.
• No backlog of papers.
• Not subjected to any disciplinary action in the past and should not have any
criminal record.
Rules For Elections Of Students Representatives To ICC
1. Out of the three students representative to ICC, two positions are reserved for
female candidates.
2. The term of elected members shall be for one academic year only.
3. A student member once elected to ICC shall not be eligible for re-election to
ICC.
4. The election officer shall scrutinize student’s nominations.
5. Candidate contesting for ICC election shall abide by the rules, regulations and
instructions issued by the Election officer.
6. Decision of the Election Officer in all matters pertaining to elections shall be
final and binding.
7. Voting shall take place online on 05.11.2020 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
8. All queries & complaints with respect to ICC election shall be addressed to the
Election Officer.
