What makes this artwork contemporary?
The performance artwork is considered contemporary because it shows how people of this generation
uses dancing not just for entertainment purposes but also for personal satisfaction. Before, only specific
people can engage in dancing, and they can only perform on stages, courts, and ballrooms. On the other
hand, in this generation, anyone at any age can engage in dancing and can train and perform anywhere
(i.e., flash mob). Nowadays, people can dance without specific purposes. Millennials often dance just for
fun and for self-expression. Unlike before, people dances for specific purposes such as regular and special
occasions. It is also considered contemporary because the music used is modern-mixed and more upbeat.
However, music on the past generation is quite mellow.

The artwork reflects the people of this generation, the millennials. It shows the wit and creativity of
the millennials. It shows how the millennials are considered limitless. Millennials find a way. Millennials
can make anything possible. Millennials are unpredictable. It also shows an innovativeness, hunger for
new things/ experience. It bestows the hunger for attention. Millennials want to express themselves at
every way and wants to be noticed as well.
