1. Launching of MNP (Mobile Number Portability)

BSNL offers MNP

Allows the subscriber to retain their Existing mobile number when they
move from one Mobile Operator to another irrespective of the mobile
technology or from one cellular mobile technology to another of the same
Access Provider, in a License Service area( Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura,
Arunachal Pradesh, Dimapur, Manipur)
The facility of retention of existing mobile number despite moving from
one mobile Operator to others helps the subscriber to maintain contacts with
his friends/clientele. It also creates for mobile user the benefit of something
akin to a personal number.
To avail this service any customer needs to send SMS “PORT” to 1900. In
its response SMS will be from 1901with Code no & this code no customer
needs mention in the new application form available at BSNL Customer
service Centers

With MNP Launch BSNL offers Special tariff to all incoming MNP Mobile
Customers
I) Port in charges waived off
II) 32 KB Capacity SIM will be given free

For Prepaid Port in Customers :


a) At the time of activation of all port –in Customers additional talk value
of Rs100/- will be offered free in addition to the normal free talk value
available with FRC( First Recharge Coupon) .
b) All Port in Customers will be offered 5 GB GPRS for one month free of
charge .

For Postpaid Port In customers :


a) Activation charges will be waived off.
b) 50% rebate in the FMC of first month after port in.
c) Freebies attached with the plan will remain same.

2.Current Attractions

1.For new Prepaid mobile connections free SIMs will be provided


upto 31.03.2011 in Meghalaya , Mizoram and Tripura states
2.Full talk value equal to MRP on all TOP_Up Vouchers /C-
TopUp/Flexi Top-Up to be offered on denomination 100 or more
between Jan1,2011to Jan27,2011

3.BSNL Prepaid Mobile Small top-up/recharge of Rs10 will have 7


days validity and Rs 20 will have 10 days validity.

4.The Minimum Recharge Condition ( MRC) for life time plans of


CDMA has been reduced from Rs 220.00 to Rs 54.00/ ( MRP
inclusive Tax).This offer will be available with effect from
Jan12,2011 to March 31,2011.

5.BSNL now offering Unlimited Home Broadband user plan( 256


kbps) for Rs 499.00 per month ( or annual payment of Rs
4990.00).with free installation .

6. BSNL offers for New Broadband connections:


Waiver of installation charges on Promotional basis for 90 days
w.e.f. Jan 3, 2011
a) Security Deposit for broadband (as applicable for opted Plan
will be taken in three equal monthly installments from starting
from the first bill.
b) Modem Security deposit (In case Modem is taken on rental
basis from BSNL) shall be taken in there equal monthly
installment from first bill.
