PK Movie Reflection

PK's story was devastating as he came to Earth without understanding how it works and had his remote control stolen, which was his only way to return home. He tried every religion to find God and get his remote back but was unsuccessful. The protagonist PK represents humans who also come into the world unaware and must find their purpose. The movie teaches that no superstitions should control our lives and that we must trust God's plan while working towards fulfilling our purpose. It also conveys that God forgives mistakes and will not give challenges we cannot handle, and wants us to respect all beliefs rather than discriminate.

PK Movie Reflection

Pk's story, for me was devastating. He came to this world without knowing how
the world he entered moves, and the only way he could go back home was stolen from
him. He even tried every religion he can get to find God and ask him to return his
remote, but sadly every religion failed him to the point he broke down. The protagonist
PK represents us, humans. Just like us, he came to the earth naked and oblivious. I
believe that finding his remote is also the same as finding our purpose in life. God
allows us to experience challenges to learn something from our journey. What
captivates me is that it leads to awareness about misleading information that leads to
fear because of PK's curiosity. He was able to point out that Godmen, like Tapasvi, uses
superstitions to confuse people. This taught us that no superstitions could control our
lives. We must trust God that he has a better plan for us, but we must work for it. God
will guide us throughout the journey to fulfill our purpose. The movie was able to deliver
the message that God forgives even if we make mistakes. It shows us that God will not
give us challenges that we cannot conquer, and he does not want us to suffer. It also
taught us that there is nothing wrong with believing in God or other forms of a supreme
being as long as we respect each other's beliefs and do not have the right to
discriminate against it. This movie was able to clear the concept of superiority of
different religions. I believe that only us humans made different religion. It is also
humans confuse people because of their interests. For instance, In the movie, Godmen
make people believe that their religion is superior to others. This idea led people to
bring each other down, which create hate among us. This movie allows me to learn
about the culture of other religions. For instance, the ritual called "Shayana
Pradakshinam" captures my attention. This is the scene where PK rolls on the ground in
front of the temple. I learned that this ritual is performed to unburden the stress, ego,
worries, and negative emotions to connect the spiritual self with God
Overall, this film is full of lessons and realizations that are true to life. I'm amazed
how they also add their wonderful catchy songs; the movie for me was funny and at the
same time sad, but as watching I realized that we were once like Pk, innocent and did
not know anything, like adam and eve, right before they ate from the tree of knowledge
of good and evil and the remote was our way to go home to where our father, God, to
flee this world full of sins which have corrupted how we perceive things, where there are
Gods made by people, where inequality is present, where there is injustice, where
people will judge you because of your status in the economy and many more. This film
was able to show the reality of society and religion clearly. Generally, I learned about
religion, faith, culture, and God. Furthermore, I also life lessons, such as being
responsible for actions and always do the right thing. PK gave me an understanding of
there is a reason why humans are given the ability to think logically. Thus, we are
accountable for every action we make and do it for good. Inconclusion, the movie PK
enlightened us about what God is. It shows us that no matter what kind or form God is,
he is forgiving and wants what is best for us. This makes us think and reflect on the
world we live in and how people look at God in different ways
