                                                Need Assessment:
History:
BTI Private Ltd Started its work in Pakistan at the end of the year 2009 till mid of 2013 kept using
conventional appraisal method without any feedback. In 2013 HR department formed started management
by objectives by the end of 2017 new Head of department joined when first engagement survey was
conducted the survey results showed the Engagement at level of 2.5 out of 5 also showed the need of
cultural development where the turnover rate in Management staff was 6% and in Non-Management staff
was about 13%.
Problems:
The analysis of historical data and surveys on appraisals showed following:
    No Behaviors were considered in appraisals
    Favoritism
    No Proper communication of objectives
    No succession planning was there
    Failure of Monitoring systems due to lack in feed back
The new Strategy devised in 2018:
Looking upon the situation following steps were taken

          Succession Planning
          Previous appraisals adjustment in next 3 years to resolve the previous issues
          Implementation of 360 appraisal system
 Current PMS Situation:
 360-degree performance appraisal is running partially they call it 180 degree, the 360-degree performance
 appraisals cannot be implemented due to culture is not fully developed. Problems is the employees are not honest in
 their comments as they don’t realize the importance of cross functional tasks.
 HR Strategy for year 2020:
 Decrease the turnover by 3% overall by implementing 360 recruitment strategy.
 Identify job criticality and reduce cost through right sizing.
 Implementation of 360 performance appraisal system.
 Raise Average engagement score from 2.95 to 4.25.
 Develop culture of learning and acknowledgment through team building.
 To Enhance Payroll process by decreasing 2 days in processing time with accuracy and fairness
 To meet the budget, integrate budget monitoring program in ERP.

Monthly cross functional feedback for 360 appraisal that will show the improvement in behaviors and understanding
between groups the results of each project will also show the improvement however impact of peers will be kept on
12% for the year 2020 and will increase with improvement.
