CHAPTER I

BUSINESS CONCEPT

A.Introduction

The entrepreneur choose "Pizzanada" as their business name in order for the costumer to

have a hint how the business runs.

Pizzanada is made of a combination of pizza toppings and empanada crust. It will offer

different kind of flavor for the customer have an options. The business will provide a

combination of excellent food at value pricing and comfortable atmosphere. Pizzanada is the

answer to an increasing demand for snack type fast food to be consumed while walking aroung

the street.

The business will be leasing a 20 square meters located in Maliksi I, Bacoor City, Cavite.

The entrepreneur use partnership to form a business because it is easier to use than the other

form of business. The amount of the product is range to 26-30 pesos. The total expenses to build

the propose business is about 133,498.95. All the partners decided to contribute a capital worth

of 23,000 to buy all the needs to build a business. The business will use flyer, poster and social

media to promote or advertise the propose business.

The entrepreneur will hired the finessed employee having a good and positive attitude to

the costumers that satisfy the costumers want in the products and service. It will also acquire

their feedback to the business so that it will recognize what will going to do to be a long run in

the business.

B. Name of the Business/ Nature of Business

The entrepreneur choose ''Pizzanada" to become of their proposed business. Pizzanada

word came from the combination of pizza and empanada. Pizzanada is made from pizza fillings

inside and empanada crust. Since the entrepreneur want to establish a empanada store that

different from the others. The entrepreneur make some twist to the business, that's why the

entrepreneur decided to make a empanada with a pizza fillings inside, so the costumer can be

satisfied in a saucy pizza flavored filling inside.

The entrepreneur pizzanada store is offering some pizza flavors of empanada like ham

and cheese, Hawaiian, bacon etc. It is dedicated to consistently provided a high costumer

satisfaction by its unique flavors, comfortable place in fully air conditioned store, beautiful

ambiance and also affordable price.

Although the focus of pizzanada is a empanada with pizza fillings, the entrepreneur also

offer some drinks and other snack for the convenience of the customers.

The said business is likable of everybody by its unique product that will offer a high

satisfaction of a costumer wants depending on them, the beautiful place to spend time, friendly

staff and the warm welcome of the store that everyone look for.

To inform the local community about the delicious ''pizzanada'' and to serve quality and

affordable foods in highest service standard to ensure the maximum costumer satisfaction.

To become one of the most popular and successful restaurant in the local food industry.

MANAGEMENT INFORMATION

A.Form of Business Organization

The type of business that the entrepreneur use is partnership. Partnerships are like sole

proprietorships in that no legal entity must be established. A partnership is established as soon as

two or more people agree to go into business together. This is considered a general partnership

because all the partners run the operations of the business share the risk and liability. A

partnership is not a corporate or separate entity; rather it is viewed as an extension of its owners for legal

and tax purposes, although a partnership may own property as a legal entity. While a partnership may be

founded on a simple agreement, even a handshake between owners, a well-crafted and carefully worded

partnership agreement is the best way to begin the business. Running a business on your own, while

simpler, can also be a constant struggle. But with partners to share the responsibilities and lighten the

workload. The entrepreneur chose partnership because it is easy to form and the company is fairly easy to

manage, and decisions can be made quickly without a lot of bureaucracy.

A.1 Logo and Explanation

The entrepreneur choose color red in the logo because red is the most common and

effective color used in the food industry. According to research, color red is not only eye

catching, but also triggers appetite and is used on a majority of packaging design. It is also a

good match for restaurant to bring in hungry customers. The entrepreneur also used color black

because it is good combination with red, also black signify elegance. The image in the logo is

half empanada and half pizza because the product is empanada crust with filling of pizza.

MARKET INFORMATION

Industry Background

The modern pizza was originally invented in Naples, Italy but the word pizza is Greek in

origin, derived from the Greek word pēktos meaning solid or clotted. The ancient Greeks

covered their bread with oils, herbs and cheese. The first major innovation that led to flat bread

pizza was the use of tomato as a topping.

The name comes from the verb empanar, meaning to wrap or coat in bread. Empanada is

made by folding a dough or bread patty around the stuffing. ... Empanadas have their origins in

Galicia (Spain) and Portugal. They first appeared in Medieval Iberia during the time of the

Moorish invasions.

The target market of the business will be the residence of Barangay Maliksi 1,Bacoor

Cavite. A total population of 6,169 was given to attain the sample size will present all

population of Barangay Maliksi 1, Bacoor Cavite.

Under the condition of perfect competition market, establishment position in competition,

store location, brand, image, size, price, marketing, equipment, equality, technology, service and

other factors in the pizza and empanada parlor. The author of the above listed pizza and

empanada competition factors one by one to make an analysis.

Production Process

Ingredients:

All purpose Flour. White Onion. Margarine. Water

Sugar Bell Pepper. Tomato Sauce

Salt. Ham. Cheese

Prepare all the ingredients needed.

For the dough: combine the flour, salt, sugar and margarine in a large bowl.

After that add some water and Knead until a dough forms.

Mold it into a ball and Cover it in a clean cling wrap. Set aside.

For the filling minced the onion, bell pepper and the ham

Grate the cheese

Form the dough into ball with equal size and knead until it flatten

Put the flatten dough in the empanada molder

Add the tomato sauce, minced onion, minced bell pepper ,ham and the grated cheese .

Close the empanada molder and it will automatically molded into a empanada shape.

Heat the oil and fry the empanadas until it golden brown.

The business Pizzanada shop is located at Maliksi I, Bacoor City, Cavite. The

entrepreneur rented a commercial space which measures 20 square meters. The rent fee is Php.
