Persona 4: Endings
This is a basic guide to get each of the endings in Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4.  Major
spoilers are contained within, so be forewarned.
The "Normal" Ending
In order to get the Normal ending, steps must first be taken to avoid the bad ending.  If you wish
to see the bad ending, just go against the following advice.
Step 1
A major story event will occur on December 3rd.  At the hospital, Yosuke will confront the main
character and ask his opinion on an important matter.  This conversation requires up to six
responses.  Give the "wrong" response even once, and the bad ending will trigger.  To avoid the
bad ending, select the following responses:
Response #1:  Wait a second here...
Response #2:  We're missing something.
Response #3:  Namatame's true feelings.
Response #4:  Something's been bothering me.
Response #5:  We're missing something.
Response #6:  Calm the hell down!
Step 2
On December 5th, the investigation team will split up to look for information on the murder
suspect.  Visit the north and south ends of the shopping district, the Samegawa Flood Plain, and
Junes, and talk to all of the NPCs you can find.  Ask each NPC about both the murders and if
they have seen anyone suspicious.  Once you've sufficiently canvased the city, a cutscene will
occur.
When the main character steps outside for a breather with Yosuke and Naoto, you will be asked
to consider the evidence you've gathered, and to select who you believe the murderer is.  You get
three guesses.  Pick wrong three times, and another bad ending will trigger.  The list of
characters from which you must select the murderer contains most every major character in the
game, including fellow party members, the main character's relatives, the Social Link characters,
past suspects, and the murder victims themselves.  However, there is only one correct answer:
Tohru Adachi.  Select his name, and the path to the Normal Ending will be opened.

Step 3
After being confronted, the killer will escape into the TV world.  Reach the end of the dungeon
and defeat both him and the boss Ameno-sagiri before December 25th.  To view a Christmas Eve
event between the main character and one of the maxed Social Links, finish these tasks no later
than December 22nd.
The plot will then progress and eventually the calendar will jump forward to March of 2012.  To
see the Normal Ending, go about town and find any and all Social Link characters you have
maxed out relationships with, and then return home.
The "True" Ending
The True Ending is unlocked by accomplishing a series of tasks in the March 2012 epilogue.
Step 1
Just like in the normal ending, locate and speak with each Social Link character you've maxed
out relationships with.  After you have found and spoken to them all, the game will ask if you
wish to return home.  Select "No."
Step 2
Go to Junes and attempt to access the elevators.  You will be told you have no reason to be here
and ask if you want to go home.  Select "No."  Access the elevators again and when prompted,
select that you still have something to do.  The main character will appear in the Food Court and
a cutscene will trigger.
Step 3
After the cutscene is over, you will be prompted to investigate the issue.  Go to the riverbed in
the Samegawa Flood Pain to speak with Nanako and Dojima about your first day in town.  Once
you're through talking to them, go to the Velvet Room through the entrance in the shopping
district and tell Igor that there's something more you need to do.  He will grant you an item
called the Orb of Sight.

Step 4
Upon leaving the Velvet Room, it will start raining.  Go towards the southern end of the
shopping district and you'll see the gas station attendant the main character spoke to at the start
of the game.  Speak to the attendant until a cutscene triggers.
Step 5
After the cutscene, return to Junes and enter the TV.  Once inside, speak with Rise to search for
the final boss.  Make it to the top floor of her dungeon and defeat her in order to see the True
Ending.
NOTE:  Once inside the TV World, you will only be able to leave to visit the weapon and item
shops.
