SABAYANG PAGBIGKAS
Ito ay masinig na pagpapakahulugan o interpretasyon sa anumang anyo ng
panitikan sa pamamagitan ng sabayang pagbabasa nang malakas ng isang
koro o pangkat
SPOKEN WORD POETRY
A form of poetry that often uses alliterated prose or verse and occasionally
uses metered verse to express social commentary.
QUIZ BEE
A quiz is a form of game or mind sport, in which the players (as individuals or
in teams) attempt to answer questions correctly. It is a game to test your
knowledge about a certain subject. In some countries, a quiz is also a brief
assessment used in education and similar fields to measure growth in
knowledge, abilities, and/or skills.
ESSAY WRITING
An essay is generally a short piece of writing outlining the writer's perspective
or story. It is often considered synonymous with a story or a paper or an
article.
POSTER MAKING
A friendly competition among students by making a visual (poster) that
expresses their opinions, analyzation and reaction about a certain theme, topic
or question given by the contest conductor/conductress at a specific time.

GUIDELINES
PAMANTASAN PARA SA MGA MAKIKILAHOK
SA PALIGSAHANG SABAYANG PAGBIGKAS
I. Ang paligsahan ay gaganapin sa Sarrat Civic Center sa ika-20 ng
Septyembre, sa ganap na 1:00 ng hapon.
1. Ito ay maaaring lahukan ng mga sumusunod:
a. Mga mag-aaral sa pangalawang baitang.
II. Mga Mekaniks ng Paligsahan:
1. Bawat kalahok na pangkat ay binubuo ng mula 15 hanggang 25
kasapi.
2. Isang pyesa lamang ang maaring gamitin sa paligsahan
(“Sa kalinga nagsisimula ang isang milyong batang Malaya”,
akda ni Julius H. Cainglet)
3. Hindi bababa sa apat na minuto (4 mins.) at hindi naman lalampas sa
anim na minuto (6 mins.) ang kinakailangan upang tapusin ang pyesa.
4. May kabawasan sa bawat segundo ang pangkat na lalampas sa
hinihinging takdang oras upang tapusin ang pyesa.
a. 1 puntos para sa 1-5 segundo.
b. 2 puntos para sa 6-10 segundo.
c. 3 puntos para sa 11 segundo pataas.
5. Mga dapat tandaan habang bumibigkas:
a. Asul na watawat-hudyat na maaari ng magsimula ang mga kalahok.
b. Dilaw na watawat-hudyat na dalawang minuto na ang nakakalipas.
6. Bilang paggalang sa “poetic right” ng may-akda, hindi pinahihintulutan
ang pagkakaltas ng anumang salita sa pyesa; ngunit maaring payagan
ang pagdaragdag ng ilang mga pantulong na salita na hindi naman
makakaapekto sa nais ipahayag na kahulugan ng may-akda.
7. Ang paglalapat ng himig, tunog o awitin habang bumibigkas ay
maaaring gawin ng mga kalahok.
8. Ang pagsusuot ng mga kasuotan, paglikha ng mga props o
pagkakaroon ng koryograpi ay pinahihintulutan kung ito ay
makakaragdag sa pagiging malikhain at ikakaganda pa sa naturang
paligsahan.
9. Ang mga magwawagi ay magkakaroon ng titulo at magkakamit ng mga
sumusunod:
a. Unang gantimpala- P5,000 + sertipiko ng karangalan.
b. Ikalawang gantimpala- P3,000 + sertipiko ng karangalan.
c. Ikatlong gantimpala- P2,000 + sertipiko ng karangalan.
10. Ang desisyon ng mga HURADO ay pinal at hindi maaring baguhin
ninuman.
SPOKEN WORD POETRY CONTEST
1. The competition will be held on September 19, 2019 @ 1:00pm.
2. The spoken word poetry contest is open for all bonafide residents of Sarrat,
Ilocos Norte aged 15-30.
3. The spoken poetry may be in English, Tagalog or Ilokano.
4. Contestants must compose a free verse or rhyme poem about the theme
“Transforming Education”
5. Interested youths should send their literary piece at ppsksarrat@gmail.com on
or before September 15, 2019 with following format:
a. Paper Size- A4
b. Font- ARIAL
c. Size- 12
d. Spacing- 1.5
6. Contestants must memorize the piece and deliver it within a minimum of three
(3) minutes and maximum of five (5) minutes. In such cases that the
contestant did not meet the requirements, 2 points will be deducted from their
score.
7. Winners of this year’s Spoken Word Poetry contest shall receive cash prize.
a. Champion P1,500.00

8. The following are the criteria for Judging:
a. Relevance to the Theme 35%
b. Originaity and Creativity/Style- 25%
c. Stage Presence and Presentation- 20%
d. Clarity of Words and Dictation 10%
e. Clear Insight into poet’s intention 10%
Total 100%
QUIZ BEE CONTEST
1. Contestants shall come from Grade 5 or 6.
2. The Quiz Master will read the Mechanics of the quiz bee five (5) minutes
before the contest proper.
3. Answer must be written on the sheets provided by the facilitators.
4. Contestants will be given
a. Ten (10) Seconds for the Easy round to answer the question.
b. Twenty (20) Seconds for the Average round to answer the question.
c. Thirty (30) Seconds for the Difficult round to answer the question.
5. The point system will be
a. Five (5) points for the Easy round.
b. Ten (10) points for the Average round.
c. Fifteen (15) points for the Difficult round.
ESSAY WRITING CONTEST
1. It is “take-home” contest and open to all bonafide residents of Sarrat, Ilocos
Norte.
2. Essay can be written in English, Tagalog or Ilokano.
3. Contestants must compose their essay about the theme “Transforming
Education”
4. Interested Sarrateño should send their essay at ppsksarrat@gmail.com on or
before September 15, 2019 with following format:
a. Paper Size- A4
b. Font- ARIAL
c. Size- 12
d. Spacing- Double spaced
5. On the title page indicate name, address and contact number. No identifying
marks must be made on the remaining pages.
6. Prizes and certificates will be awarded on September 19, 2019.
7. Winners of this year’s Essay Writing contest shall receive cash prize.

8. The following are the criteria for Judging:
a. Substance of the Content 30%
b. Relevance to the Theme 25%
c. Organization on the clarity of ideas 25%

POSTER MAKING CONTEST
1. The competition will be held on September 19, 2019 @ 1:00pm.
2. The contestants shall be divided into two:
a. Elementary
b. Junior High School and Senior High School
3. Artwork must expound on the theme provided: “Transforming Education”
4. Contestants are free to use any medium (e.g. oil, watercolor, acrylic, charcoal)
in making the poster.
5. Participants shall bring their own painting materials.
6. 1 and a half (1/2) size Illustration Board will be provided by the facilitators.
7. The following are the criteria for Judging:
a. Relevance to the Theme 40%
b. Creativity and Presentation 40%
c. Originality 20%
Total 100%
MOBILE LEGENDS TOURNAMENT
RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. Each team will consist of minimum of 5 players to maximum of 6 players.
2. All players must be physically present during the entire tournament.
3. No player replacement during the entire tournament.
4. No substitution during the game.
5. Team Composition:
a. 1 Team Captain
b. 4 Players
c. 1 Reserved Player (Optional)
6. An individual player may signup/register, but he/she will be assigned to a
team with other individual registrants.
7. Players to bring their own gadget. (Tablet, iPad or Mobile Phones)
8. Only registered players are allowed in the competition area and participate in
the tournament.
9. Please bring ID for checking.
10. Event is for 18 years old and above. Parents/Guardian consent is required for
minors.
11. If there’s an in-game disconnection (low battery, no internet connection, etc)
game will continue.
12. Incomplete players will result into a default.
13. Hacks, mods or third-party apps are not allowed. Game organizers may
examine a player’s device if cheating is suspected.
GAMEPLAY MECHANICS
1. Team Registration cut-off on 11:00am
2. Each Team will have a team captain.
3. Team captains to “add friend/follow” opposing Team Captain for Easier
Custom Game Creation.
4. Team Captains will create a custom game and add his teammates.
5. Draft Pick is the manner on how to choose your Character or Hero.
6. Game mode:
a. Custom Draft Pick
b. Elimination Round Best of 1
c. Semi-Finals Round Best of 3
d. Finals Best of 3
7. Cash prizes as follows:
a. CHAMPION P10,000.00
