Factory Standard: PA66-GF30 PP-T20-FR (17) EPDM

This factory standard provides guidelines for identifying and labeling polymer components used in end products manufactured by Miele, Imperial, and their suppliers. It specifies that the base polymer material should be marked between arrows in accordance with relevant DIN standards, using an abbreviation for the polymer and any additives. The character size must be large enough to be legible but not interfere with the component's function.

Labelling

The character size depends on the individual part size. It should be as large as possible without
affecting the function of the part. The mark should be made in such a way as to be immediately
apparent after a brief examination of the part. The type of marking must be selected and carried
out such that it is still legible at the end of the product life.

The base polymer should be marked at position "Y" (on the drawing) between the arrows (see
below) in accordance with DIN ISO 11469 or DIN ISO 1629 and it should be possible to change the
marking die in the tool.

Example: >PA66-GF30<
>PP-T20-FR(17)< (Flame Retardant)

>EPDM<
