Rurbric For Poetry

This rubric evaluates student poetry based on 5 categories: writing process/effort, title, neatness, style, and vocabulary. For each category, the rubric provides descriptors and point values for work that is excellent, good, satisfactory, or needs improvement. An excellent poem would show significant effort and care in writing and presentation, with well-chosen descriptive language and a clear style. A satisfactory poem shows some effort but may be rough or lacking in some areas. A poem that needs improvement appears to have had little effort or care put into it.
