(7) Put 7M7260 Liquid Gasket on contacting surfaces of cover (7) and housing (8) and between cartridge
(11) and housing (8).

(9) End play of bearings ... .002 to .003 in.(0.05 to 0.08 mm) loose

Use shims (1) for adjustment.

(10) End play of bearings ... .000 to .001 in.(0.00 to 0.03 mm) loose.

Use shims (2) for adjustment.

Use shim pack at top of shaft for adjustment.

(12) Rubber toric seals and all surfaces in contact with them must be clean and dry at assembly. Put a thin
layer of SAE 30 oil on the contacting surfaces of the metal seals just before installation. Lubricate all other
seals at assembly.

(13) With the machine on a level surface, fill the case with SAE 30 oil to bottom edge of hole.

(14) Torque for bolts (four) ... 820 ± 75 lb. ft.(1125 ± 100 N·m)

(5) Torque for bolts (six) ... 100 ± 10 lb. ft.(136 ± 14 N·m)

(6) End play of bearings ... .000 to .0008 in.(0.00 to 0.02 mm) loose

Use shims (4) for adjustment.

(7) Put 7M7260 Liquid Gasket on contacting surfaces of cover (7) and housing (8) and between cartridge
(11) and housing (8).
