THM 4L60-E
SOFT l-2 UPSHIFT

COMPLAINT: Some 1994 model vehicles, equipped with the THM 4L60-E transmission may exhibit a soft
l-2 upshift condition.

CAUSE: The cause may be, calibration of the l-2 accumulator valve in the valve body.

CORRECTION: There is now available a new calibration service package consisting of a l-2 accumulator
valve, valve spring, and l-2 accumulator valve bushing for the valve body. These are items
370, 371, and 372, as shown in Figure 1 below. This new service package is available under
OEM part number 24202698.
