As stated by Facebook’s Data Privacy Policy, the only data and information that the site can
collect are those that are given and presented by the user all throughout the entirety of using the said
social networking site. Information that are needed for profile fields are always provided by the users at
the time they sign up, and more information such as metadata are utilized by the networks’ system for
the sake of context analysis for the better usage of the site and system. All of these data are retained in
the site’s system and the users are given the choice to which information is to be constrained as private.

It is also highlighted all throughout the passage of the policy that actions, transactions, and the
method of usage of the site are collected in order to provide the right algorithm for each user, but no
such information will be displayed to the public, nor will it be steered by any third party applications or
attributers, networks and partners.

It is a highly proficient way of displaying these policies in a way that can be easily understood by
its users, since Facebook is one of the most frequently used SNS around the world.
