1. Define team sports in 3-5 sentences (5 points).


- Team sports is consist of two or greater number of individuals or player in a
certain team which compete to win. Each members must cooperate together
to achieve certain objective of the sports playing like basket ball or valley
ball. Good communication management in each individuals of the team is the best
way to accomplish their goals.
2. List at least 3 team sports that you are aware of and describe briefly the
nature and background of each sport (5 points each).
- Basketball, the nature of the game is to try to score more points to the
opposing team by shooting the ball through the hoops or ring. Basketball was
invented in 1891 by Dr. James Naismith, during those days there is no board
incorporated to the ring, it is only the ball and the wooden basket with a hole.
- Valleyball, a team sports consist of six individuals or player each team and
separated of a 2.43 meters net. Each team must score by grounding the ball on
the other side of the team’s court. It was invented in 1895 by William G.
Morgan, the sport was created for businessman because they think that
basketball is a too strong sports.
- Soccer, it is a team sports consist of eleven players each team to compete to
get the ball to the other team’s goal. In soccer the players are not allowed to
touch the ball by their hands and it will be considered penalty for a player.
Records trace that soccer is being played 2000 years ago by China, Greece,
Rome, and some parts of Central America. But England is the one that
transitioned the sports.
