Thank you for the card that you sent. I have pinned it on my
personal at home. How is everyone in your family? I hope everyone
is well rested after the holiday.
I am flattered that you have written to seek my advice on how to
help your Emily, overcome her shyness. Well, all of us have
experienced shyness at points in our lives. However, it shouldn't, in
any way, make us feel lonely or our self-esteem.
This is what you can do to help Emily. First, empathise with her
situation. Tell know how she feels and that it is alright to feel anxious
about speaking group. Allow her to tell you how she feels. Tell her
about your own bouts of She will not feel all alone.
Then, you can invite Emily to outings with your friends. This will
give her the opportunity to interact with different people. She will
grow more comfortable around people if she continues to participate
in social interactions. She will not feel alone because you are there to
give her support.
It would also be a good thing if you could tell her to stop thinking
of herself person. When she keeps thinking that she is shy, she will
continue to act to fit the label. Ask her to think about how she wants
